Hello, everyone. I haven't known them the longest of many of you, but today I received a message from @Eildath's brother that they'd passed unexpectedly back on the 7th. A common face to see in Pocket D, the clubs, or about in content, they often wore the face of Ursula Mallory, or their heroic identity, Umbra Midnight. They were the kind of player who loved to make alts of the same character, so if you ever saw Umbra Midnight, Urse, Urse Mallory, Ursie Mallory, Ursula, Ursula Mallory, Ursula R. Mallory, Ursula Renee Mallory? That was their Purple Feather-Winged main. Other characters they played included KO Kayleigh, Caelan, Samara Alhazred, and more. They tended bar in The Stormcage, they were a member of the Justice Girls, and they had a whole line of novelty plushes in the lore that just kept on giving. Here's to their memory staying with us for a long time to come. Edit: If you have a moment, please look at this other post, and leave feedback there as well! 🙂

You're playing a team game. Literally every character has a chance to impact how you play. Knockback. Buffs. Debuffs. Rooting the enemy. Someone killing that enemy as you were about to with a long animation. Someone using a wakie before you can venge off of them. I'm not saying it might not be better to put the option in START or something, make it clear it's there in a pop-up tutorial... but this argument is not one that, imho, holds a lot of merit. If anything, I think it's a good argument to turn this around to what I think is the real problem as we play a game that will ever be improved. I feel like acknowledging that this is a game being played with other people and we should make efforts to be calm, patient, and understanding with things we don't like would go really far. We could even still ask for changes to things with a rationale that is inherently individualistic in a team game. Also if you just wanna hit the ground running, Outbreak is immensely slow, and making me click past the tutorial every time is barely more clicks than going to null, and I go to pocket D or a START vendor anyway.

Was nice to see my name in the list of targeters. Honestly? It was fun. it made me feel valuable and appreciated. You opening the 5pm raids was really cool, and gave me a bit of stability during a very stressful time in my life. Stuff hasn't calmed down, but people still get way more excited to see Ms. Maxima now than they did before my time in the Hive. Thank you for all of the badges. I hope wherever you end up, you enjoy yourself.

This is a really awesome project! 🙂 I'll throw my hat in the ring. Ms. Maxima II: Mutant Brute Street Justice / Invulnerability - Adaptation: Ms. Maxima II takes 1 less damage each time she receives damage from the same source. That may be super broken or not, I'm bad at game balance. There's a reason I don't play many TCGs! Image listing: https://imgur.com/a/67j6LdK Bing description of her costume: ((20 year old female, long blonde hair with a right part, blue eyes, black lipstick, black makeup, wearing a light grey and ink blue shiny supersuit with a skirt and a gold 5-pointed star on the chest with dark gold inlay, gold gauntlets, skirt; wearing a red sash belt, red sunglasses, red lenses, gold frames))

This all seems really neat, and I can't wait for it to go live just from a brief time on the open beta server! ...that said? I do have one BIG disappointment. Marine Affinity's customization leaves a lot to be desired. It can't go dark like Water Blast can, which ruins a lot of cool ideas, and with bright, there's always some white in there. Just things that I personally would like resolved! Otherwise? This seems badass and i want it now! 🙂

I can second this has never worked for me either. I figured it was either something that got patched out but the UI element remained, or something like that. As a woman who uses a LOT of macros, this would be cool.

If the phrasing wants succubus bosses the grammar isn't good at communicating it clearly, imho.
-
I don't know which badge it is because while I'm a badge hunter it's just not how I work to care, but the defeat badge between Soul Binder and The Beasst Within labeled "Defeat 50 Succubus or Hellfrost Bosses to earn this badge" does not care about the new CoT 50 succubus mobs, making them showing up feel a bit mean. I at least want badge progress if they're going to keep confusing me! 🙂

It does 🙂 Linking this from the MOTD might be a good idea 🙂

Hi! Having the WST on the calendar (which is linked in the Global Message of the Day as https://cohhc.gg/wst ) is incredibly useful so I can know what's the next week and plan appropriately. Unfortunately, there's currently no listed WSTs, and haven't been for awhile. While the LFG window is useful, it only shows them after monday, making plans for monday more difficult.

All I'd need is the one SSA. Finding them isn't hard. it's that it's the very definition of gratuitous. The sappers is MUCH worse, but 1,000 of anything is a pretty tall order. it's not interesting gameplay to punk a bunch of minions. yes, you can get it naturally, but look to the newer badges, IE the ones for Nightward. Did you need to kill 1,000 of any of the new enemy groups? No. Doing this feels like "going back to basics" in the worst way possible, to me anyway. That isn't to say it's the worst thing that could be done in the game, but it's a design philosophy that the game had clearly moved beyond.

If people want a grind they can always chase veteran levels. There are fun grinds, and there are boring grinds. Kill 1000 jaegers is the very definition of wasting time to make one number go a little higher. I'll do it if I have to, but there are a lot of better ways someone could make a "do x things" badge than these, and I'll stand by that. Edited for typos

On the one hand: new badges? Cool. On the other: defeat badges with such high numbers isn't fun. I know most people are assumed to get them by doing a bunch of content and getting it eventually, but even then, 250 sappers? 1,000 Jaegers? Let's say theoretically you wanted to purposefully get those badges. The time investment is just not fun, and the existing badges aren't all that punishing. Weatherman badge is just 100 outcast bosses, for instance. Why make SO many sappers, so many natterlings, etc etc etc? Please consider that this won't enhance anyone's fun, and will instead just add time to people who hunt them down when you don't even have the usual MMO reason of wanting to elongate sub time! 🙂

Request: Give PCs as many of the NPC emotes as possible

Not true. You can make NPCs in your base do it and they all look just fine. Source: several SG bases. -

Liedown And even with that, a lot of people really enjoy that emote 🙂 At least let me lounge like Bobcat! She taunts me! -
My suggestion: use /ah while in kallisti wharf, a very underutilized campus 🙂

How about incarnate salvages account trade able?
Kistulot replied to Bukatti's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm on board with this. It would make empowering alts that much easier 🙂 -
Out of curiosity, does incarnate XP still grow even when XP is turned off? I never tried that, as I've always been in a rush to get my hybrid unlocked 🙂

Power Suppression in Icon and Facemaker
Kistulot replied to Obsidius's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Alternative suggestion: Have you considered adjusting your volume? This game has some VERY annoying sfx, but if you're not needing to hear them, sometimes it can be worth flicking off. -
Personally, I still don't really understand sentinel. It brings damage, and survives, but if one needed that secondary set to survive blasting, blasters, corruptors, and defenders would all be dead. Assault+Support makes a good amount of sense to me, personally. Summoning+Control also seems like it could potentially be very interesting. I could also see a more literal tankermind, combining summoning with defensive sets, including a taunt aura. It might devalue the presence pool, but I think it does a good job devaluing itself.

I just felt the need to weigh in on this detail specifically. If any zone changes dramatically, we should try to save the old version if/when possible. No reason to lose out on old content, even if it doesn't seem valid. I like the idea of putting new content into these zones, but I don't think Dailies is the answer. Zone events, similar to Bricks new breakout event? That could be fun! it's timed to start very often, has 3 temp powers to get, and these powers aren't overpowered but they're probably nice to have for somebody! Plus, it'd be a good way to get certain badges going, like making the Kraken part of Perez, Jurassic in Crey's Folly, so on.

Warframe Survival missions forced the players to hunt and kill mobs. The mobs didn't find players. What about just making the map spawn new mobs at random, with no pathfinding AI beyond what any mob has? Make the impetus on the players to find the mobs. Solves the problem, adds more gameplay. if you want to make it simpler, you could even use a small map, like the final fight in MoM, and make it so the mobs are always visible and in close quarters 🙂
