There is absolutely no issue with you raising problems in the forums at any time. Even if the Devs do not make changes to nuCouncil (I like that name), they might take note of your concerns when making future changes. I have also done beta testing over the years both here and even live. I have had some of my concerns directly addressed leading to modifications and sometimes my concerns are noted but they move on with their announced plan anyway. While you can complain anytime about anything, the further out you are from implementation, the less likely you are to influence change. And that makes sense. It takes dozens if not hundreds of hours to learn this game's code and then dozens if not hundreds of hours to add changes. And even more time to calibrate and fix any bugs. So you might understand if by the time it gets to the live servers the dev or devs that created that new content think of it as their newborn baby. But even at that, they sometimes do make changes after going live. It doesn't happen often, nor is it easy. But it does happen if you provide evidence of a problem. I can also attest that beta testers play a variety of characters at multiple levels. I will make something new, play it from 1 to 10 or so, and then play a mission and bump up a level or two so that it doesn't take forever. I can also attest that America's Angel, who posted on the last page of this thread, specifically posted feedback on the difficultly of the new Council and CoT on MMs in particular during beta testing. I don't recall if any changes were made based on that feedback. But it was given. Finally, I renew my suggestion made upthread that may have been buried in the comments: I think you may want to consider team inspirations, specifically defense and break frees, to help you take out those Nazis!

I never liked the "must be on the ground" powers but Seismic makes less sense than usual. Blasters and other squishies use fly much more often then melee characters because staying out of melee range is almost standard survival technique.

Oh! I had a thought. Load up on some team inspirations and neutralize those Nazis with extreme prejudice! Some mez resistance and defense and your pets will eat them up!

Option to include @Global in Chat
Bionic_Flea replied to Starhammer's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Yes, I am. I am one of the few people against the proposal in the thread. Again, did anyone name me? No, absolutely not. Were those statements directed at me and a few other detractors? Yes, absolutely. But this is just becoming an argument over an argument. So I'll leave it at that before Googly or Crumpet close the thread. Enjoy your weekend. -

No post contained the quote above, but both yours and Oklahoman's sure implied it. -

I don't appreciate being called "sus" by Oklahoman and Peregrine Falcon. I'm just stating my preferences like you are stating yours. There's no need to cast aspersions. And I expected better from both of you. -
Option to include @Global in Chat

Yeah, what Greycat said. Players can currently make a chat macro that can append their global to their chats if they wish to be known. I don't think an option where others can decide whether MY global is shown or not works for me or for and probably no for anyone that likes to be even slightly anonymous for whatever reason. -
While Kaizen doesn't need me to speak for him, I'm going to anyway. 😛 He has spent A LOT of time on the test server and creating a parser to help evaluate powers. He's too busy to make inf! And he works really hard to find bugs before they make it to the live game.

No, thank you. I would not like this. -
That would be REALLY nice, except I don't think the code will let us do it. Anytime they have messed with slots and levels the game has violently rebelled.
-
Yeah, that makes total sense. World of Pain gives you (and pets) +tohit +dam and +resist, and Enforced Morale gives perception and mez protection but not KB protection. So I can see you cruising through Arachnos but having problems with new Council. As you say, incarnates will fix that for you. But I understand the frustration.

I argued during beta that they should not change Council and CoT. I did not and do not want changes to the existing base game but absolutely want new challenging content like they made with the new hard mode stuff. Others thought differently, including the devs. However, now that it's been in game for a bit, I find it more of a speed bump than a wall. It's a bit slower and inconvenient, but I can still get past it easy enough. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but what AT and powersets are you having a hard time with Council x8. It may be that new Council is particularly strong against what you are bringing. For example, SR laughs at Malta sappers, but resistance armor melees better take them out fast or risk being left naked.

raid Once again asking for an instanced Hamidon Raid
Bionic_Flea replied to Laucianna's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
You're against a proposal that will not effect you at all and want to toss more work at volunteer GMs? Of course, you should report players that are misbehaving but there's also nothing wrong with players not associating with other players that are misbehaving. That's what the rating system, the kick button, and the /ignore feature are for. -
I have way too many to play them all everyday and I keep making more. Hello, my name is Bionic Flea and I'm an altoholic (New Flea name!) But I do log them all in periodically to either play them or at least move day jobs, pick up sales & purchases, and put down some new sales. So under the announced policy I would be covered as a 50, but I would also be covered by using them every few months or so.
-
Nope. They are all "______ic Flea", ie. Bionic, Atomic, Chaotic, Strategic, etc.,
-
There's an emoji, so I guess this was a joke. But I am not name camping anything. I make a new character, play it to 50 +3, and then make a new one and repeat. Lots of Fleas. So I don't know who is name camping. I don't think it's cool for people to make a bunch of level 1s to camp the name. But I also don't like any of the suggestions made to fix that more than the Dev's proposed change.
-
I don't like what they've done with that either. *shrug*
-
I also don't want to see Bionic Flea(@Zacking) or Bionic Flea(@Snarky) either! And that is exactly the point of this suggestion. So that everyone can be Bionic Flea if they wanted to. No thanks. There's only one me.
-
Sorry, but I don't want to have all my names wiped and I don't want to be Bionic Flea@Bionicflea.

In my experience, there are two basic ways: 1) Carefully -- Pull, stay at range, strafe, use defensive inspirations and temp powers. 2) With reckless abandon! -- Load up on red inspirations, Aim+Build up and blow your enemies to smithereens before they know you are even there.

I want to feel effective AND be effective. But there are certainly sets, or set combos more appropriately, that are set and forget and you feel like you aren't doing anything. For example, Bots/FF is pretty effective as long as you aren't at +4. But it's boring, summon, buff, take a nap. But Bots/Traps or Bots/Electric are just as effective but a lot more active. I've recently leveled an Elec/Elec defender and that is approaching too busy. Fun, but I have to pay attention.

Warburg Nuke as an Incarnate Judgement Power
Bionic_Flea replied to Alchemystic's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm not seeing a problem with a Warburg Nuke animation as an incarnate power. Think of it like Gravity's Propel power - you just pulled a nuke from somewhere and tossed it at your enemies. Or Marvel's Magneto doing the same via magnetism. A little creative thinking can make just about anything work.
