  1. Incredible! Unbelievable! Amazing! Thanks to everyone behind the scenes that have worked so long to make this day happen.
  2. The clones in the Posi TF have done that forever. They have access to powers that they shouldn't have at that level. That's one reason that last mission frequently results in team wipes.
  3. But Jimmy, are you saying that I should look . . . to the left, to the left. Server status in the box to the left. You must not know 'bout Flea
  4. But Jimmy, only cool cats like you can see that. Us mere peons get this:
  5. You're right! I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it. A mystery.
  6. I knew that DoTs were a reason critters ran away, but I never took the time to count how many! Thanks for counting for me, Ston. Another reason that critters get discouraged and run is the inability to damage you. So high defense builds tend to have more runners than resist builds, although these days most high level characters are soft-capped to something, even if it starts with resist based armor, or no armor at all! Behold! A true image of Ston:
  7. Vitric Fox? Glass Vixen? Vitric Glass? Fox Vixen? Would VitricVixen/GlassFox fit?
  8. I was going to jump on the bandwagon of ice/cold corrupter, but make 2 builds and costumes, then slot and play one like a blaster and the other like a defender -- ie, take and slot more blast powers for maximum damage vs take and slot buff/debuff for maximum support. You could even set up a bind that switched the builds and costumes. Hmm . . . this is sounding really cool and fun. I'm gonna have to come up with a similar concept.
  9. Ever since I played Martial on a dominator I have wanted Shuriken blast with a few customizable weapons: classic throwing stars, boomerangs, baseballs, etc.
  10. No. The game has never provided enough influence just from defeats and mission completion to fully equip a character and keep him or her their until maybe the 40s, even if you include vendoring. That's not counting any marketing done on the /AH. Marketing can easily cover all your needs. It used to be better to just slot drops and vendor the rest until you got to SO levels at 22 or so because buying DOs and keeping them fresh meant not having enough to buy SOs. Now that SOs drop from level 1 on I think it may still be better to just slot drops until your 20s, but I haven't seen or done the math on that.
  11. Welcome back! Sorry your first few days back were frustrating, but if you spend some time reading the forums and following the farming and marketing guides or ask for help in the in-game help channel I think you will find everything you need, and then some! Happy holidays.
  12. Here's the link to Fiery Embrace from city of Data: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=brute_defense.fiery_aura.fiery_embrace&at=brute In PvP it boosts damage, with extra boost and duration to fire damage. But in PvE all it does is add a "flag". When you use an attack and that flag is active, you get bonus fire damage added. That damage is listed in every attack that could be boosted by fiery embrace. For example: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=brute_melee.battle_axe.gash&at=brute Or you can look up an attack in game and under the "detailed info" tab see that it adds a set amount of damage, "Only using Fiery Embrace." As to when that happened . . . it was a long time ago. I'd have to research. Edit: It was changed in Issue 18, which came out in April 2010. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Issue_18
  13. If you adjust the price of SOs you have to consider the price when buying as well as the price when selling. If you lower both prices, you may end up making it harder for characters to earn enough.
  14. Thirded! I'd like smaller releases more often. But I also understand that sometimes changing something over here means fixing something over there and then that fix breaks something else.
  15. 1. Devs don't hate farming (well, at least most don't) 2. Eighteen to be precise. 3. Some brutes have been nerfed, some brutes have been buffed, sometimes the same brutes. 4. Thank you for not lying about your feelings.
