  1. I didn’t see anything about the scales for leadership and the like. Are we still getting increases on these?
  2. It’s pretty harsh. Just going on memory I think in game it’s .78/s and then it says -1.0 end per hit. You really have to build specifically for it. Once you get it rolling it’s pretty fun. Sudden acceleration procs quite often as well. I have only slotted the procs in whirlwind and the two +res uniques for IOs. Turning off whirlwind I can tell it makes a whirl of difference in my survivability. 😋. From both the knockdown and recharge for healing flames. As survivability and end issues get help from an IO build, I’ll still have the +rech from sudden acceleration which normally wouldn’t be available to those power sets. Which is a nice boon because gimmicky powers like repel and whirlwind often lose their value once a full IO build is realized.
  3. I have whirlwind slotted with a sudden acceleration and force feedback on a dm/fire brute built specifically to run whirlwind. I feel like I have won the server because most people have never seen whirlwind, let alone in actual combat. It takes constant attention from consume and consumption but it’s awesome. He’s stalled at 47 without other IOs because of altitis. Fiery Typhoon. He he was also shelved when the tank updates where announced because I would love to hit things with shadow maul and have a larger radius on whirlwind. Another reroll in the works. Which I feel pretty much sums up what these changes are going to do to the brute vs tank dynamics.
  4. I was thinking the same thing. The regen and +end on you are auto and the end drain rolls to hit. It’s somewhat of a misleading power because in your buffs window it shows all kinds of stacks so you think it’s working, when infact it’s missing like crazy.
  5. I deleted the coh files and let island rum install the full game again. Fixed my issue
  6. Shatter has always had the better cone because clobber was a low damage stun, if it did damage at all. That balanced it against battle axe. War mace better aoe, battle axe better single target. Then they made clobber into a beastly attack and made war mace far outshine battle axe. It was that change that upset the balance between those 4 weapon sets and left battle axe in squander. Battle axe needs something to make it more unique and relevant.
  7. I was trying to fix the issue with my 64 bit island rum where I had to reset the path every time I started the application. I deleted island rum and was trying to reinstall it. I followed the getting started directions and I can’t seem to get island rum to update to the 64 bit client. I have homebrew already and I ran “brew install wine” in the terminal. It told me wine was already installed. When I launch island rum I cannot select the 64 bit client. What am I doing wrong? do I need to delete the CoH apps and let it do a full reinstall?

  9. Does conductive aura need accuracy? I was thinking it was auto hit but I keep seeing “miss” pop up and it’s the only thing that could be missing. Or maybe static felled could be missing. Which one of these needs accuracy? Thanks
  10. Rather than chasing fads or performance, I find the costume and concept are what really draw me into a toon. I also like to have something to do with my secondary rather than turn it on and forget it. Which is also why I avoid IO builds until 50. That said, I have a spines/ice that I find real fun and a new axe/nin that’s fun also. /ice is currently one of my favorite armor sets because it’s not overly strong and has some clicks that make me feel like I’m contributing to my own survival. Just couldn’t get into it without the minimal fx though.

  12. My savage stalker just dinged 32 and I was wondering what the consensus was on savage leap for stalkers. Is this power not very good for stalkers? Do you open up with it or do you just use it from melee as a filler? How do you use it?
  13. If instant healing was fully enhanceable that would help. Regen has 3 powers that are not fully enhanceable. Instant healing, integration, dull pain. Making all 3 of those fully enhanceable would probably go a long way. IH has 800% regen? Enhanceable to around 900%? 1600% regen plus a larger heal and more +hp from dull pain would be great. The set maintains its flavor and becomes stronger.
  14. I have one of these at level 36. Like all of my tanks though, he’s been shelved since the tank changes were announced on the beta server. I don’t want to use up my leveling experience on an inferior version, if indeed they are going to get buffed. His name is Metaldeth and his theme is a heavy metal thrasher. I imagine the kinetic melee moves to be him playing the air guitar! Of course while idle he’s always in the air guitar emote. I couldn’t tell you if it’s a fun combo or if I’m just having fun with the theme. Either way it’s a good time! Rock on!!!
  15. Tried to log in this morning and I keep getting the error message to check my network settings or the server status. The typical message you would get when servers are down. According to the server status page, all servers are up. Anybody else having this issue?
  16. I like all of these. It removes some of the penalties that are unnecessary these days but doesn’t overdue it. I used to be against removing the movement penalties because it adds something unique and I didn’t think they were as crippling as the others. Then I made a stone armor tank and took spring attack for mobility and comic relief. I can’t get over this tiny curb but I can jump through the air and land on a spawn. Theme or not, with access to powers like spring attack, it’s wildly inconsistent. I have never seen a debuff that reduces jump height as opposed to just preventing jump. I would speculate it works a little like kb in how anything under 1 is kd, anything over is kb. If this is the case then just let them jump. If it already exists to debuff jump height then that’s perfect. If it doesn’t, no need to waste dev resources on a new mechanic.
  17. Huh? Did I say any of that? I believe I suggested adjusting the non superpower related means of travel. Akin to how the SG base transporter works. I played this game for 7 years. I am back to play it for 7 more. Instant gratification leads to short life spans. This isn’t a retail game that has a constant influx of new players. I am here for the long haul. All I ever care about when I post on this forum is the longevity of the game. buff buff buff, give give give, is like a form of socialism. It’s party time for a while. Woo life is good! 🎉. Then your society falls apart because people stop working.
  18. The power creep is real and diminishes the fun for me, and I feel the longevity of the game. The issue I have is how I have a full tray of powers but generally only need to fire off a couple per spawn and everything is dead. I play the game to be a super hero but I also play the game to USE the powers and set combinations. When the game gets reduced to simply firing 2 aoe powers per spawn, and maybe one single target on a boss, it gets boring. I dont want to be debuffed into the dirt by every spawn because that makes me feel unsuper. I don’t want to feel depowered in a super hero game. Again, I play to USE the powers, not to have them just miss or do nothing. For me it would be about simply slowing the game down a bit. Half of the rush people have comes from being able to just teleport anywhere they want to be all the time. The enterbasecode macro is not good for the game and should have been removed once it was discovered. Somebody mentioned the tunnel system allowing Atlas Park to Fire Base Zulu transportation. Null the Gull allowing insta alignment swaps. Ouro portals, if your in the north end of Talos it’s quicker to drop a portal and zone back into Talos than to self travel to the train. There is no more time vs reward aspect. It’s all just become reward vs reward. Outside of gaming, if you just give money to people for nothing over and over forever they don’t do well. There is no sense of accomplishment, no self worth, no fulfillment. We all want to win the lottery, and when we do, our lives fall apart. Slowing down travel will slow down gameplay. The need to rush. AE missions already exist for those that despise travel. I think the plethora of insta travel abilities needs to be reigned in.
  19. Get used to it. First brutes, next scrappers! This is a tankers world now. Be thankful they don’t charge rent... yet.
  20. In a full team how much time does a brute actually spend over 50% fury? Considering different team makeups. 1 tank on the team. 1 tank 1 brute. 2 tanks. A full incarnate team where 6 out of 8 people are taking alphas. I don’t have any raw data but with my experience, if as A brute I am not taking alphas or even if I am taking the alpha and a tank strips me of aggro, it’s pretty hard to maintain higher levels of fury. With these numbers, in a team of eight I can easily see a tank more or less matching single target damage with the brute. Add the increased aoe and target cap and the tank easily out damages the brute. If the brute is good at building fury on a single target then they will be better vs AVs but with 7 other people focusing fire that small advantage is a drop in the bucket. Does 1 tank on a team make adding a brute less optimal than adding pretty much any other archetype? Even a second tank will add more damage than a brute for normal play?
  21. If these changes go live they should come with a change to granite armor. The -30% damage will be an even bigger penalty to tanks than it was before with the new damage scale. Granite should come with +dam instead of -dam. Keep all the other penalties but get rid of that -dam penalty.
  22. What we all really want to know is how big is your staff while in granite? uh... What I meant to say is, how long is your pole? shoot...
  23. Assault WAS rarely taken. I’ll likely drop tactics for assault on all my tanks from here on. Never really needed tactics for anything other than getting to vengeance for the LotG proc
