  1. I am confused by this portion and could use further explanation. The circle icons indicate a 10ft radius. You said it’s a 10ft diameter with a 5 ft radius. Is it a 10ft radius and thus 10ft in each direction, or a 5 ft radius and 5 ft in each direction? Or is your character model occupying a 5ft radius and therefore the 10ft radius is actually reduced to a 5ft radius outside of your personal space? Edit: I think Bopper has answered my questions in his following post.
  2. I don’t play on test so maybe there are special powers over there that I am not familiar with. Which burnout power are you talking about? You don’t have the actual burnout power in your build.
  3. This is untrue. Not because of a brute nerf but the tanker buff. Gauntlet also increases the target cap of most tanker cones and pbaoe. There are exceptions, but a brute cone that hits 5 will hit 10 on a tank and a pbaoe that hits 10 on a brute will hit 16 on a tank. I believe the increased target cap and radius/range from gauntlet is also not factored into the proc chance for damage procs, so a tanker also procs better than it should.
  4. Here is the definition I just ripped from some online place A "smurf" describes a player in an online game, often highly skilled, that creates another account to play against lower-ranked players. The smurf pretends to be new, then dominates their opponents since they're so much better at the game That’s the basics of it.
  5. Honestly I’m starting to suspect @Diantane is just @Snarky smurphing on a second account. Who else can fill up the front page with different threads about pug life so quickly?
  6. Did you report this post that you quoted? If not I will have to report you for collusion to discuss politics on our forum. This is no laughing matter. Of course you won’t see this because you have ignored me. Hopefully others will see it and refrain from laughing as well as I have.
  7. Don’t mind that guy. He doesn’t even know how to enforce the very rules he’s hi-lighting.
  8. It really is a beautiful tf. It’s just too long considering all the special mechanics and interactions it contains. Synapse is long, but Synapse is simple. New players can join and meaningfully contribute. On Aeon it’s hard to even know what to do, there is so much going on for so long. Parts of it you are even told to just sit and wait. People can’t learn if they’re not really involved. I would liken it to a 2 hour Summer Blockbuster. I think it has used some concepts from the ITF that makes it so great it just uses them for too long. It really should be split into two parts. It’s a shame it sits there largely unplayed. If it were two parts I would wager both parts would be played more than the current iteration is.
  9. Hot take! There are a lot of comments spouting political views in this thread complaining about people talking about political views.
  10. Thanks for all the hard work and time spent to help the game. That said. I never like these sort of tests because it always comes down to the same thing that I feel is not very reflective of the actual sets. That thing? Which sets have two high dpa attacks then add gloom/snipe and cross punch. Rinse. Repeat. 50% of the test isn’t even the power set being tested.
  11. Pretty sure he started on Everlasting. Complained about something and left.
  12. Be it basketball, football, or CoH, most people want to play in the game and not ride the bench. When you feel like your riding bench even while in the game it’s not fun. Most want to feel like they are contributing.
  13. Ice armor 100% resists slows with wet ice, permafrost, and energy absorption.
  14. Mostly you should decide if you want a taunt aura or not. Integration for brutes has taunt. It does not for scrappers. Brutes are more durable but also draw and keep more attention so it’s honestly probably a wash. Runners actually help as a form of damage mitigation. They will not run from the brute.
  15. It’s likely not from energy melee at all. The divergence is likely from the epic snipes and gloom. Pylon builds are all pretty cut and paste from set to set. If your scrapper doesn’t use a snipe, you’ll never approach the highest levels. If you don’t slot -res procs, you’ll never approach the highest levels. Energy melee is actually an outlier here by performing so well without -res procs. Even the new fire melee was designed to be able to use these. So without any testing or running any numbers, that’s where I would put my money. Snipe vs gloom.
  16. If there was ever a power that should have the axe cyclone vacuum it’s burst from kin melee. Only if it draws them in during the animation though, and not after the strike.
  17. The real irony of this thread is @Ston posting tank vs brute times in the Trapdoor mission. With limited procs the tank clears 6 seconds faster than the brute. With heavy procs the tank wins by 47 seconds.
  18. So now you have to crank it to +3 and pull the entire map to have fun. While the level appropriate toons are dead/ineffective. Sounds like confirmation of our fears.
  19. So it’s spectacularly tanky when it has a tank to tank for it? Are we talking about the blaster or the tank? Isn’t everything spectacularly tanky when it has a tank tanking for it? My sentinel can out blast any blaster as long as it has a blaster to blast things for it.
  20. Voltaic sentinel was shown to apply its own 5% debuff on live. I’m sure it’s lost that with the changes. That’s why elec blast is showing this difference and none of the other sets are. I think it was pets in general, just electric blast has one while the others would have to pick one up from the epics. Edit: I actually meant to quote and respond to @KeepDistance Not sure what happened there.
  21. Never used the function. Never will.
  22. I actually sort of agree with this. If you’re paying attention you can instantly feel the impact of just one high powered blaster on a team. The support toons may be force multipliers but it generally takes several of them to have a huge impact. Only takes one blaster. Most of the players I would consider top end are blaster players.
  23. The heart of the argument is toons exemping and turning level appropriate players into spectators. I don't think any of us complaining really care that much about time vs reward ratios. Doesn’t really seem like the crowd that is very concerned with that aspect. TFs are just the easy and relatable target of discussion for brevity reasons, not the actual heart of the complaints. Edit: In fact. A lot of requests have been to just remove the +5 from exemping. Which would leave us fairly close to our current teaming situation while still having these QoL changes for level appropriate players.
