  1. Right now, the only way would be to place a vehicle, put a small teleporter ("Interdimensional Shard" or whatever it's called under tech teleport works well) partly inside it using F3 room clipping mode but poking out just enough that you can click it, and hiding the destination screens inside another nearby object up against a wall/vertical surface, I think.
  2. That, or something that tributes the original RP server ("Virtuous" or something like that), would be my votes, if Everlasting wasn't already well-established.
  3. Well this sounds interesting for sure. Not sure that I'd want to be involved (at least at this early stage), between it being in its infancy and my RP skills not being what they used to be due to years of disuse, but I'll definitely be keeping my eye on it at least.
  4. You can already do that (but it seems to not start right away and not persist through logging off, as far as I can tell, unless I just have my music channel turned down too low). /sg_music (filename) sets the music in your base. The file names for in-game music are here (hover over the names in the "Neighborhoods" column, the url that shows up, everything between the last / and the .ogg is what you need, not including the / and .ogg themselves), and you can also put your own music (in .ogg format) into the data/sound/ogg folder and use that (no spaces in the filename, if a filename has spaces in it, rename it to either remove the spaces or replace them with underscores), but only you will hear it unless someone else had the same idea/you tell people what song you have playing. If the filename ends in _loop, it will do just that, repeat when it ends; if it doesn't then it will play once and stop.
  5. An RSVP slip (did you even send those out? Oh well, you've got better things to worry about, like getting the final touches on the place and getting things set up for the big event) lands in your hand out of nowhere. It's signed in sweeping flourishes in... glowing ink? No, that's definitely not ink... DJ Chronos Well, looks like the new club owner plans to come... what? Size up the competition? Have a night out? Who can know with that one? ((That being signed/said, I'm at a friend's place this weekend, so I may not get a chance to attend, but I'll be trying to make it, to see what you've done with the place. Not to get ideas for Club Valhalla, no, not at all...))
  6. /sign this, plus adding my own suggestion for more cyber parts in general. Eyes/a hand/bits on the face are cool, but something like a T800 torn synthskin look, or one or both legs cyberized, or stuff like that, in addition to OP's suggestion, would be cool.
  7. I haven't tried yet, but I assume the window is for any characters on any accounts on your computer (since it's done by creating a file in the CoH directory), but the macros probably have to be done per-character?
  8. Leandro said, in the base tour/base building tutorial stream he did a few weeks ago, that it's 'on the list', and that's why he stopped adding new NPCs. Basically the plan is to have it where there's one (two for male/female? Three for male/female/huge?) base NPCs, then you select a model/texture set, select a pose/animation, and select a function (hopefully cosmetic surgeon will be one, because that's the one functional NPC I can think of that we're missing that doesn't have a valid reason for not having it).
  9. Big /sign to that. Let's get some respect for Wolf and the rest of the base-builders toolbox team, in addition to the guys and gals and Huges (does that 'third gender' have a proper name?) who brought the game back in the first place.
  10. What everyone else said. I like to use it a)in November/December/January/February (back on the Live servers) as part of my characters' seasonal attire, and b)to make a ninja-like look (based on Hotsuma from the PS2 Shinobi game) on Kiba no Doku, my currently-only ninja character.
  11. No, they're CoT/Hellions/Sky Raiders. I... think that one belongs in the CoH Dad Jokes thread... I feel both accomplished and dirty.
  12. /sign 100%. I have exactly one ninja and one Duke of Hell with a semi-feral style, and one 'hey, ninjas are cool' character who isn't one himself, but because of the speed boost I take one or the other (usually ninja because it's a)cooler and b)more human-like) for all of my characters, and it looks out of place. Having the animation and the speed boost separated into their own powers (or just turning ninja run, beast run, and any other cool walk cycles in the game into emotes that only fire while moving, such as rebinding W/your move forward button/key to +forward$$em <walkstyle name> the way they did with flyposes while flying) would a)better suit people with characters who aren't ninjas or beasts/were or wif/feral in some way, and b)allow for more freedom of customization of your character's personal style.
  13. We've got my Club Valhalla (coming SoonTM, the Talos Keys Lounge (also coming SoonTM according to its creator), and then after that for RP spaces there's pretty much just Pocket D, the near-dead and blueside only Paragon Dance Party, out in public leading to confusion, and your own SG base. We need more clubs, restaurants, shops, parks, and so on for SGs, RP groups, and random strangers who meet on the street and want to have a RP session without interrupting/being interrupted by other people's sessions to hang out. It would also be a good way for the beginner base-builders (like me for example) to learn, and the experienced ones to show off their stuff.
  14. ((Crazy timing, first a new nightclub and now a new restaurant? DJ Chronos might want to meet the new... competition? Fellow proprietor? Whatever, maybe over drinks at the club once the doors open, or a light meal at the restaurant :P ))
  15. ((I'm still setting things up, and I don't have a base code yet for people to come visit, but I want to let people know what's on the horizon.)) A tiny girl in pink appears out of thin air in Atlas Park. She's carrying a hammer much too big for her small frame (and not in a way that indicates familiarity, so this obviously isn't her usual weapon), and a sign. On the grass in front of the steps to City Hall, she pounds the sign into the ground, then vanishes as quickly as she came. COMING SOON: DJ CHRONOS PRESENTS CLUB VALHALLA The hottest new nightspot in Paragon, Club Valhalla is a dance party experience UNLIKE ANY OTHER! Join the all-day party! ((DJ Chronos, my newest character, probably has no need/desire for a supergroup, so I devoted her SG to building the club. I was inspired by reading in the base builder cheat sheet that you can make your SG base play music. I'll probably stick to a random assortment of Pocket D loops and possibly other loops from around the city if there are any, since I don't have any sort of distribution rights to the music I want to play and I don't make my own music, but it's another place to RP and hang out, once it's finished and I release the base code, if Pocket D is too crowded and you either can't find or aren't nostalgic enough for Paragon Dance Party. I don't know if redsiders can enter blueside SG bases or vice versa with the code system, as I haven't tried, but if so, villains are welcome too, the base/club is just as neutral as Pocket D is officially though.))
  16. No one's said that on any of my runs, but I did hear one of Sam "Strippin" Thorne's party say it when they noticed his name.
  17. M2's gone through some changes in the transition/intervening years (denoted by a change in costume, attitude if I ever find someone to RP him with, and the appending of a "Reborn" onto his name), but he's back, with vague memories of his previous life in what may or may not be an alternate Paragon City, and of a major Crisis that led to... something, but no memory of exactly what happened, nor of what he did/was done to him in the intervening years.
  18. Open Sky walls: I think Leandro's base building guide Twitch video has helped me figure out how to do it, but I haven't tried yet so I'm not sure. That said, for anyone who doesn't want to go to that kind of trouble, or can't get it, being able to set the walls to Open Sky would be a great help. Cosmetic Surgeon NPC in the base: There's an ICON employee/Facemaker option, as well as everything else except for obvious reasons a Wentworths employee (trainer, inspiration vendors, even difficulty-setter), so I can't see why a surgeon isn't an option. Not a big thing, just a little QoL suggestion.
  19. Well that's a bloody solid Constantine, mate, gold star. SpidOck is pretty solid too, and Samus. Not familiar enough with the rest to offer opinions, but the look cool.
  20. This, not for the same reasons (Takamoto Industries is a corporation and Kiba no Doku is a ninja clan/village, so both need big spaces). Though there is, if you can figure out how, the option of building above the map, as well.
  21. Kiba no Doku Shinobi Clan and Paragon Shitai Fushigiranger Recruiting Blueside Kiba is a Ninja clan, the "Poison Fang". We specialize in stealth tactics and quick strikes. Ninjas/x MMs and anyone with Ninjitsu or related/similar (Martial sets included) powersets are welcome, as is anyone else with a good rationale for how/why you would fit in. Contact @OmegaX123 or Kiba no Doku (or DM me here) to apply. Fushigiranger is exactly what it sounds like, a Super Sentai inspired SG. The only theme/requirement is that one of your costume slots needs to be armor (that would look at home in a Super Sentai/Power Rangers setting) and predominantly one color (Red is taken, Green, Blue, Black, and Gold are requested/soft-required, any other color is able to be worked in). Contact @OmegaX123 or Fushigi Red (or DM me here) to apply.
  22. **Overheard in a corner of a local Italian restaurant - unrelated, rumor has it the place is run by The Family as a front** Excited Girl: "Hey, so you heard the news about that big tech firm, right?" Bored Girl: "I don't pay much attention to the news, but if you're talking about Taka-something Industries' new open hire policy, I think the whole school's heard about that." Excited Girl: "Right, well you know the 'head of security' there, that armored hero Girl Gadgeteer?" Bored Girl: "Yeah, I've seen her around." Excited Girl: "Well I heard a rumor that she's actually... Lena Takamoto herself!" Bored Girl: "No way. Big-time CEO parading around in power armor? Never happen."
  23. Big Green! Awesomely done. The Swept Point(?) shoulder bits are perfect as the points of his cape.
  24. "Dad Jokes" isn't a family-specific thing. It's not 'the kind of jokes my dad tells', it's 'the kind of joke the Platonic ideal of a dad tells'. It's got a set definition, nothing to do with individual families/fathers.
  25. CO didn't exist at launch, it came out just before Issue 16 (and was created by Cryptic after being cut loose and replaced by NC NorCal which iirc later became Paragon Studios as the CoX dev team). EDIT: CoX was literally the first of its kind. DCUO and CO came later, and are pale imitations even in this day and age (except the freeform character creator and variety of travel powers - swinging, tunneling, etc - in CO).
