This makes me feel bad because it portrays the devs in an unfavourable light, petty and mean which is quite sad. That said, I don't find it unbelievable at all 😕 -
I get that powers are inherently skippable - but that should not apply to a T8 power surely? Sounds like it's a deliberate gimp of an already low power attack set. I'm trying to think of the logic behind that.

I presented my data raw because I'd originally begun with the hypothesis that there would be an obvious candidate for being sub-optimal. That proved not to be the case - which means we have to look at it in the round against the sets as a whole, rather than single powers. I like what you've done but I think to get a real value we need somebody good at Stats and equations to say the total value of this set is N and the best/worst power(s) within that set that contribute to that factor is Y etc

Mostly I was wondering if it's enough damage to take a power pick, seems it might be. I get that it's situational... whcih is fine, many powers are. But I've got to say I've never been called an "overly-ignored topic" before 🤣

I think many people still use Hasten (I certainly do) and with good use of it you can have two Lightning Storms up at once giving you a bigger secure zone. -

You shouldn't need Stealth, because you have Steamy Mist in your power picks anyhow and realistically most use Stealth as a mule for LotG Global. You could still do that of course but I'd suggest it's a waste of a pool power. It's an interesting combo, I've never played that myself but it offers a couple of interesting options. You can mitigate damage by making sure nobody gets within spitting distance of you, you've got Gale, Hurricane, Lightning Storm to throw stuff around and then sic a Tornado on them. If you stand in the middle of your Carrion Creepers and you've got your pet out, the only things that are likely to hurt you are AVs and snipers. Carrion Creepers and Freezing Rain are must haves but there's not too many powers I'd skip. If you must, then I'd suggest Engangle, Spore Burst and Thunder Clap. If you are only soloing, you won't need O2 Boost. If you team it's a MUST. No it's not a great heal but it's an outstanding buff with a heal component and you can hang a lot of heal procs in there, which means you need fewer in Health, allowing you to leverage slots. Good combo. I'm tempted to build one myself but I've got such bad altitis at the moment it's doing my nut 😄 -
Any good? I've not taken it in a long time because back in the day it was shite and about as much use as a rubber duck in the Sahara. But something in the back of my mind tells me that it had a couple of passes to make it worthwhile. Anyone have any input on the veracity of this?

Getting Libre Office & forum to play nice together is beyond my capability it seems Criteria: Figures from Mid’s Reborn 3.6.6. (HC I27 P6) All Primary T9 powers, compared with Dark Blast and the following pool powers: Combat Jumping, Hasten, Stealth, Manoeuvres. This gives consistency and a ready comparision using single shot slots for LotG Globals. Mace Mastery taken for same reason. Thus 4x Lotg Globals +Haste. All slotted at lvl 50 with lvl 50 Ios, Hasten is 2x lvl 50+5s ** I have no direct experience of these (other than poison) but I presume they are ticks but some further explanation might be helpful from those who know. I think there are two immediate takeaways that leap from the page at me: There is a great disparity in efficiency of the T9s across the board. Some are clearly OP and others are seriously UP. But I also think that looking at T9s alone is probably not entirely fair comparison. We should probably look at the entire set in the round as to overall performance. That said, it's beyond my particular set of skills so I leave it at this. I was struck that the numbers I chose seemed to reduce recharge by half. Entirely coincidental but actually makes it easier to digest.

I get that. I'm familiar with the concept. Every action has an alternative outcome and from that springs a new universe but that is not implied in this game. Yes, we have alternate worlds but those are usually well explained. This just feels clunky because Sister P exists when she should not (we have no indication so far as I read that we've moved to an alternate timeline) and that's backed up by Penny's presence in Atlas later. It just feels awful writing - or rather lack thereof. I'd also remind readers that I have huge issues with the whole killing of Sister P in the first instance. It was entirely unnecessary and almost a "well they know we're going to kill Statesman, so let's throw this blinder in to catch them off guard" But then they forgot about the LRSF loop. I get that the new devs wanted Penny. She is an interesting character, but she is also something of a usurper. She could exist in her own right, with her own TF and place in the FP, without killing of SP. Just seems shoddy and half-arsed the way they worked this out and made me go "WHOA!" -
Just ran Lord Recluse SF, which IMO is one of the better SF/TFs in the game. Ok... I know there's a technical reason why it's difficult to remove her from the future mission, cut scenes and whatnot, but it does jar and made me go WTF.

I'm presuming this is a bug I won the Synthetic Microfilament Exposure which enhances End/Fly/Jump/Run I looked to see where I could put it and I can slot it in sprint, as you'd expect, and of course Combat Jumping and super jump. I can also slot it in Swift, where it will enhance Fly (but not Run) I cannot slot it in Hurdle So in other words I'm able to slot it in one part of Inherent Fitness, but not the other. That is inconsistent behaviour. It affects Run, Fly and Jump so if it can go in one, it should go in both, or not at all. Weirdness.

I just did a very (non-scientific) test in Mids with a Thermal/Dark Defender, purely theoretical and the best I could get was to get Melt Armor down to 75 Seconds recharge. That's using Haste with two x 50+5 IOS and 4 LotGs Globals. I didn't do a full slot using purples etc because of fundamental laziness but that does strike me as being excessively poor considering that controllers can get Perma PA as a matter of course which is way and above more devastating. (Yes I'm aware of the comparison of apples and oranges - see the non-science caveat above) That is rapidly swinging me over to Renatos' position that Thermal is seriously lagging in overall performance
