I checked my previous plan on Beta Server and found the build is possible. It's dumb but possible. Spending 2.2 billion using Purples, Winter Sets, and ATOs is impossible. However, spending 1.95 billion is possible and doesn't take too much effort. With only one constraint (number of available slots) and a few decision variables, my solver takes less than 10 minutes to find a solution. Said solution has 7 Purples, 2 ATOs, and 4 Winter Sets. Still, @aethereal pointed out another problem for using too many Purples. Here is what I've found: The table below counts the number of set bonuses by type and value. As long as the number is less than or equal to 5, it won't suffer the rule of five. Type \ Percent 2.5 3 4 5 6 10 15 16 Total Psionic Defense 1 1 Accuracy 7 7 AoE Defense 5 2 7 Damage 3 3 Energy/Negative Energy Defense 2 2 Fire/Cold Defense 2 5 7 Fire/Cold Resistance 11 11 Health 2 2 Melee Defense 2 1 3 Ranged Defense 2 2 Recharge Time 9 9 Recovery 12 12 Regeneration 1 1 Smashing/Lethal Defense 1 2 3 Smashing/Lethal Resistance 1 1 Status Resistance 18 18 Toxic/Psionic Resistance 6 6 Sadly, 8 of 18 bonus types exceed that number. Result: I don't get what I've paid for. Bonus I paid for this But, I got this instead loss Psionic Defense 5 5 0.00% Accuracy 105 75 28.57% AoE Defense 22.5 15 33.33% Damage 12 12 0.00% Energy/Negative Energy Defense 10 10 0.00% Fire/Cold Defense 30 22.5 25.00% Fire/Cold Resistance 66 30 54.55% Health 6 6 0.00% Melee Defense 10 10 0.00% Ranged Defense 5 5 0.00% Recharge Time 90 50 44.44% Recovery 48 20 58.33% Regeneration 16 16 0.00% Smashing/Lethal Defense 12.5 12.5 0.00% Smashing/Lethal Resistance 6 6 0.00% Status Resistance 180 50 72.22% Toxic/Psionic Resistance 36 30 16.67% average 19.60%

A Neu Man Exploration Mission Keeping up on the latest in amazing scientific breakthroughs is no problem with a subscription to Praetor Berry's popular publication. Every issue is printed with all the latest in why Praetorian engineering is the greatest in the world, and how the Praetor's science has a solution to all your problems (that you did not know you had). While that's all fine and good, the details on Neuron Technologies Unlimited and other local facility installations are more relevant to your immediate work, and familiarizing yourself with these important locations would be worth doing. Longshoremen Of particular interest is a press release detailing information about exports of relief supplies: "Praetoria continues to stand as a beacon for humanity; To aid a world ravaged by the Hamidon, we work tirelessly to provide the essential materials on which the survivors beyond our borders rely so heavily. Imperial vessels run non-stop to provide the relief the world desperately needs." You had heard reports that the southern port is understaffed, and the personnel overworked. Perhaps there is something you can do to help in the humanitarian work that so many depend on. It is good to hear that the fire within humanity still burns in the world beyond Praetoria. Given the expansive measures by which the city maintains security, you can only imagine the dangers that threaten those without such luxuries. It easy to forgot that Praetoria is but a small part of humanity. Eyes to the Future You read over a bit that starts by mentioning the tower in the heart of Neuron's Reach, the center of Praetor Berry's domain: "From atop his iconic research tower, our fair founder of Neuron Technologies Unlimited conducts the efforts of Praetoria's scientific hands. With his guidance, the future is truly within our grasp!" While reading the Praetor's self-glorification is riveting without end, you find yourself distracted. There is a magnificent tower within view that needs you to climb to the very top and take in that view. While you are sure Praetor Berry's many achievements are both amazing and praiseworthy, his greatest achievement could potentially be giving you this impressive culmination of architectural engineering to scale. Urban Renewal There is a map included in this journal that shows various recent developments, notes, and locations of interest. While looking through the map you notice that west of the Lambda Sector compound there is little to no development of any kind. The stark contrast with the almost uncountable number of plans around Neuron's Reach strikes you as odd. Perhaps the military installations in that area have caused local problems that have resulted in the development being halted? It wouldn't surprise you if various criminal groups have coalesced near the Lambda Sector in hopes of procuring experimental weapons technology. You decide to go inspect the various buildings in the forgotten urban sector. It is quite the visual contrast as well. Looking to the various sectors of the city from Nova Praetoria to the Imperial City continuing onto Neutropolis the areas seem to descend in saturation and brightness. It is hard not to compare the shimmering white structures of the Magisterium to the dull and drab buildings surrounding the Lambda Sector. Stuff of Life While absent-mindedly flipping through the journal looking for anything interesting, you find an article on art: "The DNA sculpture within Neuron's Reach was recently unveiled to much fanfare. Cheering spectators attended the ceremony and watched Praetor Berry cut the ribbon. The Praetor delivered an excellent speech where he promised to never cease in his endeavors in drawing forth humanity's potential to bring us to the future." There is always something to be appreciated when it comes to artistic realization, even in monuments commissioned to celebrate somebody else's ambitions. Missing the ceremony spared you from listening to the Praetor's long-winded speech, but you would still like to go enjoy the sculpture itself. It is always impressive to see how artists put themselves into a piece even if the work is for another. The subtle signatures of the creator are imbued into any project they touch. When appreciating the works of a singular artist, it is often fascinating to spot the nuances found that ring with their identity. Airlift The magazine highlights some recent aeronautic developments: "Despite Praetoria's isolation, with recent improvements in aerodynamics, fuel efficiency, and material engineering the skies belong to humanity more than ever! Praetor Berry predicts the number of shipments sent by way of plane from the western airport should be competitive with seafaring numbers by next year." Given the geographical layout of Praetoria, economic trade options would be limited to sea and plane. It would be valuable to know where things are shipped, as it is likely a priority target. Your knowledge of the greater world outside has been limited, perhaps touring the airport will help clue you in. The more you think about it, the clearer it becomes how little information is available regarding Praetoria's external operations. You cannot help but wonder why that is. Surely the world still exists beyond the border, so why has nobody heard anything from it? Stockpiling The featured article this month is promoting the strength of Praetoria with a scoop regarding the Lambda Sector: "The heart of Praetoria's military security is the peerless stronghold known as the Lambda Sector. While the surface entrance is daunting on its own, the structure extends into a massive complex below. Within, the latest weapons research is conducted, and the Imperial Defense Force stockpiles supplies so they can be ready at all times to face any threat to Praetoria. Our citizens can always trust they are truly protected by the world's greatest." The IDF are not usually seen within Praetoria as they generally respond to major threats and fortunately those are none too common here. Those who have seen a troop of IDF being deployed claim their equipment and weapons were beyond anything used by the PPD. Maybe if you stop by the Lambda Sector right now, you might catch a glimpse of Emperor Cole's best. You decide to scope out only the front gate. The Lambda Sector itself is protected on all sides by automated energy weapon platforms that are programmed to reduce any unauthorized intruders to a pile of smoldering ash. While the curiosity bugs you to see what developments the military are cooking up, you would rather not lose your life in the process. Don't Drink it There is a recent article scientifically reviewing the benefits of Enriche: "There has been some controversy surrounding the manufacturing process of Enriche. Neuron Technologies Unlimited is here to reassure all citizens of the processes employed by Willingham Water Treatment Plant!" The remainder of the article goes through a variety of complex-sounding scientific jargon that, impressively, manages to use a lot of big words to say nothing meaningful. In the end it looks like you will just have to go investigate that treatment plant yourself. You have had Enriche on plenty of occasions, few in Praetoria could say they have never tried it. It is unlikely that anyone would notice such subtle effects if what the Resistance claims is true. This investigation has a personal motive now. You would like the truth of what it was you actually drank. Moar Power There is a small mention about the Keyes Island Reactor, but it is clearly eclipsed by the other articles: "To the south are the anti-matter reactors that help to power our glorious Praetoria. Praetor Berry has already disclosed plans to upgrade these reactors. The improvements will see our power grid on both cleaner and more renewable sources of energy within the next few years!" This is surprising, the publication generally always layers on the praise but this feels like an obligatory footnote. For something so crucial to Praetoria, it stands out as peculiar. Since the article declined to provide any details, it looks like you will have to go inspect the reactors yourself. Praetor Berry essentially claims credit for any and every technological advancement posted in this scientific journal. Oddly, this reactor does not appear under his name. Now that you think about it, you seem to recall there had been two scientist Praetors in the past. The "sweep this under the rug" vibe you noticed makes more sense if the reactors aren't Berry's work.

Emperor for a Day Exploration Mission For all the latest and greatest to be experienced in Praetoria's Imperial City, the TPN Newsletter is the best (and only) source of information. Flipping through its the pages of its sleek design, the publication provides you with an overwhelming number of things to check out. You have a hard time deciding; ultimately everything is so praise-worthy and "the best of its kind" that nothing actually manages to stand out. Tiberian overseer The TPN recently ceased trying to advertise the Tiberian Bluff park in their newsletters. The sector has started to feel more like a security checkpoint due to its being one of the few routes in and out of Praetoria. Not surprising, but that kind of intensity tends to drive people away. It is hard to relax around the platoon of PPD officers assigned there. Official sources cite that the threats outside of Praetoria are under control and pose no threat to Emperor Cole and his Praetor elite. But with this constant station, perhaps that assessment is not so absolute? This warrants your investigation, as it provokes a curiosity that needs answers. Other than the Hamidon and Devouring Earth, few could say what other threats might lay beyond Praetoria's borders. One would like to think that the PPD simply patrol vigilantly to prevent any illegal entry; however, the situation here is being met with anxiety from the population of the city. Seen This week's issue of the newsletter highlights the happening place to be in the Imperial City: "Are you the cat's meow? The bee's knees? The Clockwork's internal self-renewing energy modulation core?! Then you should already know that the Aureas district is the hottest place to be! The height of glamour and style! Dress up and get down at Studio 55 and other hot local venues today!" You have heard about Praetoria's premier nightclub Studio 55. The night life and the glitzy, expensive, and luxurious overtones can be a lot to take in... Maybe it is best if you just start with simply seeing the Aureas district for yourself first. Most likely all the affluence and partying also attracts some less savory types to the area. You would be best served keeping your guard up, even if everyone around you is abandoning their inhibitions. Park Ranger Page four of the newsletter carries the following press release: "The People's Park is happy to declare that its gorgeous nature preserve has once again been crowned this year's 'Most Beautiful Locale'. With the PPD working tirelessly to ensure the park's safety, it is the definitive place to spend a weekend with the family!" Most beautiful locale, very nice... Though there is the question of what competition it faces. Either way, it is indisputably a beautiful park, and one you never tire of patrolling. Perhaps now is a good time for one such patrol? Unfortunately, the Destroyers have recently started gathering at the park in large numbers, to a degree that the PPD are having difficulties keeping them out. There are plenty of places in this city where they are doing their "destroying" thing, but you have a fondness for this park. Remember... Only YOU can prevent drug-fueled vandalism! Praetorian of Privilege Badge The newsletter has a page of real estate listings within the high-class district of Four Gables, where Praetoria's wealthy and elite gather. Wealth attracts criminals, who in turn have attracted a large number of Clockwork and PPD officers. This has resulted in a situation where Four Gables feels more like a military sector than a residential district. If you can ignore all the security personnel, the neighborhood is a lovely place to go jogging. Perhaps you will take a moment to enjoy that for right now. There seems no solution to the eternal triangle of wealth versus crime versus security. The three thrive and grow together in discordant harmony, an increase in one causing an increase in the next. The situation within Four Gables illustrates this quite distinctly. Tuned In You decide not to open the newsletter, but instead flip it over and gather information on the publication and its printer: The Total Praetorian Network, or 'TPN' for short. They have a monopoly on all news, pop culture, and public affairs. That is because they are the only source of information in the city licensed by the Imperial administration. The TPN campus is located in the heart of the Logos district north of the People's Park. Being only a short jaunt away, you decide to go pay it a visit. They are always offering public tours; you might get a better understanding of how the (only) source of information is managed in Praetoria. The Resistance often preach how vulnerable this makes Praetoria to information manipulation and control. It comes down to the decision to trust in the Praetors and their administration or not... The same question it always ends up being these days. Gold Digger The newsletter contains several notices regarding areas of heavy construction: "The TPN would like to remind everyone of the on-going expansion efforts in northern sections of the Aureas district. Expect to see traffic delays on your commute. Pedestrians should be careful to stay within the established safety zones. The Clockwork assigned to these construction sites are programmed to remove trespassers by force." Praetoria continues to see expansion, a reminder of the thriving economy within. As expected, the only directions to build are onto the water, which makes you wonder: What will happen when the development meets the wilds beyond the sonic fence? It would take quite some time for that to happen, but you find yourself wanting to see where things stand at present. You are curious what these projects are. Praetoria is fairly self-contained so new business ventures that provide new services or products are met with a lot of fanfare. Personally, you hope there is a new beverage endeavor. Many are tired of drinking Enriche and Loyal Tea. Mercy Missionary The second page of every newsletter is a large map. It contains the following warning, in large red letters: "Unauthorized entrance to the Behavior Adjustment Facility is strictly forbidden; lethal enforcement is authorized. These protective measures are for the safety of all citizens. Our most brilliant scientific minds are hard at work seeking a cure for the Tellurian Plague that causes the psychosis which the patients within suffer." There have been rumors about the B.A.F. and its patients. Some citizens have claimed that the plague is propaganda and facility's true purpose is mental subjugation and control. After a visit by the PPD, these claims were retracted. You have never actually seen the compound for yourself; perhaps doing so will put these rumors to rest? You do not actually have clearance to be within the B.A.F., so this will be a stealth mission. It means you will have to be careful; to be apprehended inside would likely mean the end for you. It is an unspoken law that in Praetoria those who are caught breaking the rules tend to "disappear". Seer There is a blurb under some more entertainment-focused article that catches you eye in the newsletter: "This is a sponsored reminder that all citizens of Praetoria are expected to adhere to the highest standards at all times. Aberrant thoughts can lead to dangerous behavior, and our diligent Seers are always protecting you from this danger." The vigilant psychics are present throughout Praetoria, detecting and apprehending criminals before they are able to cause any harm. As a result, organized crime leans more to force rather than secrecy, as evidenced by the Destroyers, Syndicate, and Resistance. You will have to watch for Seers, you have occasionally caught your thoughts wandering... The Seers have always struck you as a bit odd. The way they float silently and rarely speak gives them an unsettling presence. Strangely, it feels as though other citizens often do not see or react to them, as though they were unseen phantoms.

Pure Praetorian Exploration Mission These clean and shiny booklets are provided to all of Praetoria's citizens ( whether you asked for one or not) and provide instructions on being the most productive member of society you can be. It outlines the best ways to express your gratitude and be proud of the glorious districts of Nova Praetoria. It is endorsed by each individual Praetor and details the ideal lifestyle to truly be a model of Praetorian excellence. While you sometimes pick up on some vague undertones in the guidebook's messages, you set these thoughts aside as you ask the question: "Where does a [Primary] [AT] like myself belong within Praetoria?" Guardians of Justice The guidebook promises that all those who live within Praetoria will enjoy the protection afforded by the Praetorian Police Department. Their capable personnel work tirelessly to ensure all threats are dealt with. There is a photograph of the PPD department headquarters, a veritable fortress, imposing and amply staffed. The Praetorian Police are the backbone of order in society here, to an absolute degree. While most look the other way, the PPD do whatever is necessary to ensure order. They are often quite accommodating with allowing model citizens to tour their building, you can use this opportunity to see their operations for yourself. Where you lean on the question of the true meaning of "justice" is irrelevant in the context of understanding how Praetoria operates. In the end, everyone decides for themselves as to what is right and what is wrong, but the pieces that uphold the Emperor's society can be understood without having to make a stand. Into The Wild There is a warning in the guidebook, reminding citizens to never stray too far from the city because of "lurking dangers". It fails to mention the sonic fence barrier or its potentially lethal effects. This barrier serves to protect Praetoria from any external threats. Emperor Cole has thrived by the accomplishment of triumphing over the Hamidon and the Devouring Earth that threatened to annihilate humanity in the past; However, when you are looking out to the horizon beyond from your favorite point, you cannot help but feel a bit restless. There have been occasions when affairs within Praetoria are particularly tumultuous; times when the Praetorian Police have had their hands full. At such times, citizens have occasionally spotted an enormous monstrous tentacle that will rise, writhing briefly above the canopy of trees beyond the city, before vanishing once again. Citizen Cole An excerpt from the guidebook recommends seeing all that our benevolent Emperor Cole has done for humanity, and nothing illustrates this sentiment clearer than the view afforded by the western edge of Elyssian Avenue. Despite the various whisperings of darker stirrings moving below the surface, there is no denying that Praetoria is beautiful and an unparalleled feat of architectural and engineering prowess. You will go enjoy that view, if only for a moment, to see the good established by the city. Humanity truly has come so far under the guidance of the emperor. While there are no absolutes, there have been an uncountable number of positive strides for civilization and the benefits enjoyed by society today should be acknowledged. Technophile There is a section in the guidebook dedicated to praising the luxury that is the Clockwork workforce that caters to society's every need. Neuron Technologies Unlimited prides themselves in the peerless capabilities of their autonomous androids. While there is something a little unsettling about the mechanical laborers, they do keep the city very clean and are accommodating in an almost limitless number of ways. The booklet indicates they are deployed from a depot found in the eastern Elyssian Avenue district. Perhaps you will go take a peek. Though the Clockwork are usually friendly and responsive, you have, on more than one occasion, seen how potent they are as combatants. Armed as the Clockwork are with various plasma cannons and an automated self-repair system, they are formidable constructs for a force dedicated to labor tasks. Ambitious The guidebook states that every citizen should stand before Emperor Cole's tower in the heart of Nova Praetoria: "The perfect symbol of Praetorian excellence. Standing tall, proud, and immaculate, it represents that each citizen is blessed with the freedom to pursue their dreams! The sky is the limit!" You have re-read this section four or five over, but it processes the same way every time: You must climb the emperor's tower and reach the for the sky. Perhaps this is not the intended message, given that most average citizens would have no means to scale the massive tower. In that case, it is an exclusive opportunity. You are not average and it reads as a challenge from Praetoria to you: Stand atop the world, if you can! On the Waterfront The guidebook invites all citizens facing stress and anxiety to indulge in the scenic waters that Praetoria enjoys on all sides. Clean, clear, and beautiful, it is what makes this city the "Crown of Humanity" The water around the district is quite gorgeous, and very calming. The pages do fail to mention the dangerous curtain of lethal sonic waves surrounding the border. You do enjoy spending time relaxing near the eastern waterfront facing the horizon, allowing your worries to drift away... Your career leads you to endless battles, but to maintain a keen mind and serene sense of judgement, these meditations are required. Despite the various luxuries and accommodations of Praetoria, life here can be quite stressful. Everyone must find ways to set their problems aside, if only for a brief while. Uncivil Society The guidebook cautions the fair citizens that despite the strides and achievements of Emperor Cole and humanity: "There are many who would seek to upset the balance and peace obtained by our sacrifices. Many figures lurk in the shadows, and it is each honorable citizen's duty to report anyone suspicious to the authorities. Be the shield that protects our fair Praetoria!" Things are certainly precarious within Praetoria at present. Is is uncertain how the citizen's read into these messages. You decide that some time spent reflecting on the state of things within this society is in order. You recall a good spot that contains a view of all the core administrative facilities near the Magisterium plaza that would help you get your thoughts in order. These are uncertain times and acting one way or another will likely commit your loyalties. Best to ensure your reasoning is sound in your choices. Civic Minded The guidebook confidently proclaims: "It is the civic duty of every citizen to continue the prosperous development of our fair Praetoria. If you are ever lacking in motivation or resolve, standing proud on the Magisterium plaza and seeing the Praetor's efforts is sure to inspire you!" While you are not so sure simply visiting the epicenter of Praetoria's administrative district is going to be life changing, you recall that it is actually something you have never done. There is certainly no harm in it. You will admit the many impressive buildings and statues that line the Magisterium are quite a sight. Daunting in their grandeur, they are the symbols of the powerful hands that rule Praetoria.

Ethereal Drifter You found this scroll on one of the denizens of the Night Ward, clearly otherworldly in nature. You unclasp the ribbon binding around the scroll. To your surprise, it stands upright in the palm of your hand and faces you. The whole situation is quite strange, but then again, so is everything about this bizarre shadow of the First Ward. With no better ideas, you decide to ask the scroll if it knows anything interesting it wouldn't mind sharing. Abandoned Soul This scroll jumps when you open it, creases running up and down its parchment: "W-w-what do you want?! P-please, don't use me for anything unsavory! L-let me go and I'll share a secret with you... H-how does that sound?" You nod and agree to release the scroll after you have heard its piece. "Oh t-thank goodness... I really appreciate it... Okay, here is what I know: There is a train station near the center of Lamplight Junction. T-they say it runs to the afterlife, but those guys have been waiting in line for awhile..." The scroll nervously tips a crease to you and hops out of your hands, the wind catching it and carrying it into the dark night. Train station full of ghosts... That should be easy enough to find. You find yourself wondering if the departed actually ride a train to the great beyond. Legend always mentioned taking a ferry across the River Styx to reach the afterlife. Maybe the ferryman got sick of manually ferrying souls and decided to reinvent his methods with some modern engineering? House Hunter The scroll sighs, plops down on your palm and looks around: "Alright, I guess it can't hurt. You ever been to that fancy mansion sitting on top of the hedge maze? No...? Actually? Well there ya go then, easy peezy. Not sure why you needed me to tell ya that." You ask the scroll if it knows what is inside the mansion. "My guy, I'm just a piece of sentient parchment. Go ask a book or something, those annoying know-it-alls..." The scroll grumbles, folds itself into a paper airplane, and flies into the air and out of sight. Looks like you will have to go to the mansion yourself to learn more. The mansion certainly exudes an exciting air of intrigue, like you walked into a classic horror or mystery film. Its looming spires create an extremely whimsical scene against the starry backdrop of the Night Ward's sky. You find yourself excited to make your way over to its doors and see what secrets are hidden within. Nocturnal Pilgrimage The scroll hunches over and rubs the two ends of its ribbons together deviously: "What manner of foolishness is this? You dare address a query to ME?! I would see your soul cast into the infernal abyss for such thoughtless action. Though, perhaps you know not what you ask! Very well, those who are witless enough to peer into the eternal darkness shall have their curiosity answered thus! Seek now the reward your brash actions have wrought! Chained to your fate as you are now, I pity you hence." The scroll faces you and unfurls, revealing a map of the Night Ward on its parchment. A singular point burns with a purple flame. "Now go, your task is set. There is no escape for your insipid soul. Farewell!" The scroll begins laughing maniacally as the purple flame consumes it in its entirety, leaving only embers behind. You have no idea what awaits you at that point, but it cannot be good. Following directions from a scroll with an evil laugh is probably not a great idea, but you are curious about the destination. In the end, curiosity tends to win out over the potential for danger. You decide to make the journey, if there is anything perilous, you feel confident that you can handle it. Dead but Dreaming The scroll yawns and rolls itself back up. You poke it a few times until it unfurls: "Hey... Stop that. Just leave me be, I am far too tired to deal with busybodies like you." It rolls itself back up once again. You respond with more vigorous poking until it finally relents. "Ugh... Unbelievable. Fine. You want something to go waste your time fretting over? Go look at the dead thing south of the City of Souls. Small island, big husk. Can't miss it. Now, just set me down and go away." You shrug and set the scroll down somewhere safe nearby. South of the flooded city in the center of the Night Ward? Easy enough. You have the momentary thought of how the physical might affect the ethereal here. If you broke a window in the First Ward, would the same window end up broken here? The idea that actions somewhere that you cannot perceive might impact the world around you. It seems like it would be frustrating to no end. Monolithic The scroll suspiciously makes sure nobody is around before responding: "Hehehe, oh yeah, I got something special just for you, buddy. Real powerful stuff, top shelf magic, you're gonna be a god among mortals. It's your lucky day, that's for sure. What's your name?" You did not expect today's decisions to include deciding to trust some sketchy parchment. You give it your name. "[name] huh? Fine name. Smart name! Now here's what's what. Give me something nice, and I'll share knowledge that will make you unstoppable." You shrug, and offer it a piece of metal you picked up earlier. "Ohhh ho ho, yes, that's what I'm talking about. Alright, here's your ticket:" It whispers a location to visit in your ear, wraps itself around its payment to form a ball, and rolls away. You hope this venture is worth whatever you get. At best, you received something for this relatively cheap exchange; that metal was nothing particularly special. At worst, you got scammed and outwitted by a sentient scroll and you will have to live with that knowledge for the rest of your life. Perhaps this was bad idea, but at this point you should just see the thing through. Stargazer This scroll looks at you, leans to the side, and coyly wraps its ribbon around its middle: "Oh... Why hello there, gorgeous! I haven't had the pleasure of such fine company in quite some time. Tell me, what's a fine [AT] like yourself doing tonight? Want to get out of here and go somewhere nice, just the two of us? What do you say?" Hmm. Being courted by a piece of parchment is one of the weirder experiences you have ever had, but maybe it will take you somewhere interesting, so you agree. "Oh, you know just what to say to smooth these creases out. Follow me and we'll spend a romantic evening together enjoying the stars. I know the best spot in the entire realm. You won't be disappointed!" The scroll flattens and floats through the air, guiding you to the spot where you can see the stars better than anywhere else. As you make your way toward the destination you cannot help but notice how the sky above seems to be endlessly alive with shooting stars that dance across its dark surface. The depth and beauty of the Night Ward's sky puts the others you had seen before to shame. There is something otherworldly at play that gives the night here far greater potency. Follow the Light The scroll stretches its rolls and uses a ribbon to scratch its backside: "You're really a pain in the parchment, you know that? Fine. There's this neat member of the Carnival of Light. She's called a Mistress of Fate, and has some neat tricks that can make your life harder but more rewarding, or easier and less so. Not bad, huh? I'll even do you a solid..." The scroll flattens itself and a map of the Night Ward appears, with a little gold star popping up in the Arcane Quarter; You memorize its location. "Don't tell anybody that I never did anything for you!" The scroll then hops to the ground and shoos you away with one of its corners. It looks like time to go pay that Mistress of Fates a visit. You have heard that various individuals have this type of power: To rearrange the threads of fate to slightly alter the course of one's future. These fortune tellers cannot majorly impact the course of events, but destiny can be swayed to make things more lenient. Karmic balance does ensure the price is paid, however. Those who face greater challenges will find their lives far more rewarding for it. Happy Camper The scroll stands up straight, ribbon resting on its side. It somehow seems to peer up at you: "Good evening sir or madam. You seek avenues of enlightenment then? Truly, good of you! Nothing quite as fulfilling as knowledge! Right then, let us make an accord. I will provide you a location of interest, and you will place me within one of the tents there when we arrive. Is this agreement acceptable?" You agree to the parchment's terms and you shake on it (by having it wrap its ribbon around your pinky). "Very good! That way then, be aware that the knights around this area tend to dislike uninvited guests. You may have to get violent or sneaky. Right then, off we go!" You follow the scroll's directions toward the aforementioned camp. You have seen the heavily armored knights that roam the Night Ward. It appears this scroll must belong to them and wishes to be returned. At the very least, this will be an opportunity to learn more about the Black Knights and their purpose, methods, and the location they are occupying.

I mean, that's the joke. Come on, look at it! Two billions and I have no idea what that build is trying to achieve (aside from being expensive as heck). On a more serious note, I relies on enhancement drops, so my build is cheap, but it packs enough power to fight +2.
-
That's a great idea! Archetype Enhancements and Winter Packs are also worth 25 mill, aren't they? They could bridge the gap. Then, I could use PvP Enhancement (10 mill each) to drive up the cost. I'll post its combat attributes screenshot sometime in the future.

The real prize of automation lies beyond that 6 seconds reduction. Here is an additional clue: Homecoming allows multi-boxing.

Unable to Access Beta Server All of a Sudden

Ditto here. I can't access beta server since Monday. -
It's comic-book time. The year is always 20XX.

How about writing a script to automate that? Customize it according to your available toons. Once you login successfully, the script pause/terminates. I highly recommend python's keyboard library, AutoIt or Ms. Power Automate Desktop. Imo, a password saving feature is ok, as long as you don't share your PC with someone else. Otherwise, it's a security issue.

Yes. If you want Magistrate, Tyrant, Obliterator and Survivor badge, you need to complete all Praetorian arc from Nova to Neutropolis. -

I think Ouro will let you access your contact to run a flashback, regardless of your current alignment. I tried it with a loyalist to run resistance arc via Ouro. So, don't worry out leveling or locked out from your contact. -
There are 23(24?) powers and 67 additional slots. Let's assume each purple cost 25 millions, and you fill all those slots with purple, then you will need around 2.2 billions for a single build. On the other hand, some people slots their build with random drops only. In this case, their build will cost 0 inf. Edit It depends on your difficulty level, I guess. A 50 mil build is most likely too expensive for -1x0 difficulty, but too cheap and inadequate for +4x8 solo AV.

I can't find exploration badge from Homecoming team yet, so I'll post passages that I found on this thread: Prime Warden Exploration Mission The First Ward is a hotbed of dangerous activity from an impressive variety of sources. These reports from D.U.S.T. evaluate locations and groups they have identified as threats, with proposed countermeasures and strategic recommendations. While they are usually not so forthcoming with these documents, high mortality rates amongst personnel often leaves the evaluations in unexpected places. Between the presence of the Devouring Earth, the Talons of Vengeance, and a variety of strange psionic or otherworldly monstrosities, having any and all information at your disposal is crucial for your survival in this place. Eye of The Vortex There are many hypotheses that have been submitted by D.U.S.T. on the origin and nature of the vortex that looms over the entire First Ward. Some believe it is a beacon that calls the Seeds of Hamidon to protect the area. Others would say it is a portal into another realm, given form via an incomprehensible evil. The vortex is certainly commanding in presence -- it is prominently seen from anywhere within the region. Sizing the vortex up, it appears to be centered above the tallest building within the Sunken City. You wonder: If you climbed that tower, could you reach up and manage a touch of the energy swirling above? You have to refrain from staring upwards and into the revolving maelstrom for too long or you start to get dizzy. The swirling energy seems to pull you towards it, and not physically. It somehow feels as though your very essence is being siphoned from your body and dragged through to whatever the vortex's source may be. Shadow Walker There are numerous informational gaps within D.U.S.T.'s reports on the spectral spaces maintained by the Carnival of Light. Despite not being able to grasp their true nature, they have managed to deduce that they are utilized for the traversal of something based on their layout around the First Ward. After having mapped out their general whereabouts, the D.U.S.T. Rangers have left the pathways alone, having concluded they do not pose any immediate danger to their operations. You have noticed the strange runes and bizarre spatial shifts that occur within their confines from the times you have crossed their borders by mistake. Understanding the purpose of these pathways and learning their locations would likely prove beneficial. You cannot imagine the Carnival of Light created them for fun. If you had to hazard a guess, you would assume they ward against some malevolent force and allow for safe travel within. The pathways must lead somewhere, but you cannot hazard a guess as to where exactly. Perhaps that answer will be provided once you have learned more firsthand. Dearly Departed To the east of the Sunken City lies the sizeable Mercyview Cemetery. D.U.S.T. has currently suspended expeditions into the area as they are under-equipped to handle the triad of the Carnivals of Light, Vengeance, and War all operating within the graveyard's confines. D.U.S.T.'s answer is to simply wait and allow the conflict between the Carnival splinters to resolve itself, then swoop in and eliminate the weakened winner. Looking over the map, the cemetery is quite sizeable; the loss of life that accompanied the fall of the First Ward must have been immense. You decide to walk amongst the graves, both to pay your respects, and to see the current situation surrounding the Carnival factions. Flipping through the reports in the notes, you are relieved to find that risen zombies are not amongst the threat count here as you might have suspected. There are a host of Ghouls present; however, their numbers originate elsewhere and the departed do not appear to be bolstering their ranks. Mayhem's Prodigal D.U.S.T. has a detailed report regarding their security assignment to defend the Mother of Mercy Hospital, one of the few Praetorian facilities still operational within the First Ward. While the Behavioral Adjustment Facility located in the Imperial City is overseen by the elusive Praetor Tilman, her true work is undertaken here. Located atop a ridge on the far end of the Forbidden Crags, the hospital sits alone on the horizon. Given its prominence within the First Ward, you decide to run some reconnaissance on the Praetor's stronghold. The D.U.S.T. Rangers stationed at the Mother of Mercy Hospital are just a formality. Those who have dealt with Praetor Tilman and the powerful psychics within her network know it is no mere hospital. It would take an extraordinary force to actually threaten the Praetor and her subsurface compound. Fearless Insurgent This report is a rather long list of all the security improvements and remaining vulnerabilities of the D.U.S.T. Ranger compound in the Free-Fire Zone. It appears that the fortification, security, and maintenance of this facility is one of their highest priorities. Given the abnormally thorough scrutinization of every facet of their base's protections, you can only imagine that D.U.S.T. are quite afraid of "something" making it past their perimeters. Exactly what that threat is remains uncertain. Are they protecting something important or are they simply afraid of what might be lurking in the First Ward? You decide to expose some new flaws in their defenses and find out. In D.U.S.T.'s defense, the First Ward has many incomprehensible dangers that crawl about and skitter in the shadows. They are being prudent at least, it is smart to be taking zero chances with enemies they do not fully understand. You can respect D.U.S.T. being thorough, but unfortunately for them, highly guarded compounds tend to draw certain individuals' curiosity, which is just about to happen. Vengeance Seeker D.U.S.T. has issued one of their highest threat evaluations to an area dubbed the Forbidden Crags. The jagged landscape is host to the Talons of Vengeance, dangerous agents of fury and anger whose true nature is undetermined. Traversing the area is generally avoided by the D.U.S.T. Rangers if they can manage it, but they also are tasked with maintaining the perimeter of Praetor Tilman's nearby hospital. There is something unnatural that draws the Talons to these rocks, some sort of otherworldly influence that permeates the area. There is a darkness here that you should venture to understand so you might know how best to confront it. All malevolent forces have a source, and if you are to face the Talons of Vengeance in any meaningful capacity, you must understand them better. The utmost caution should always be employed when challenging the unknown. The strange, warped creatures within the Forbidden Crags will know how deeply one who seeks their undoing can pierce. Shell Shocked There are various notes in this D.U.S.T. report regarding potential structural weaknesses that might be exploited if the Seed of Hamidon occupying the Sunken City were to be engaged. Most of D.U.S.T.'s findings came from researching the fallen remains of another Seed found to the south. Examining the shell does not tell them how the monster was conquered, however other valuable information was collected. A review of the notes reveals that the Seed utilizes "seedlings" generated from within itself to enhance its own capabilities. Perhaps there is more to be learned at those remains. A second look could be interesting if not useful. D.U.S.T. concluded that to bring the Seed of Hamidon down, clearing away any seedlings nearby will be crucial, as any in the vicinity will boost the power of its parent. Their notes mention they came in six variants: Bulwark: Augments the Seed's defenses. Contaminating: Exhausts nearby enemies. Hematic: Exposes weaknesses on threats. Maturing: Boosts the Seed's regeneration. Respiring: Blurs vision of threats. Tellurian: Offensive protectors of the Seed. Witness for the Fallen This report makes clear that D.U.S.T would need a substantial increase to their personnel in addition to heavy artillery weapons if they are to make any progress in reclaiming the Sunken City. The chief reason for this is the Seed of Hamidon that is seen routinely patrolling above the flooded remains of the First Ward. It would take a powerful force equipped with aerial capabilities in order to challenge the flying monstrosity. While you find yourself considering the merits of confronting the Hamidon's floating creation, you would likely need to recruit some allies to do so. In the meantime, you can at least scout around the Sunken City and familiarize yourself with its layout in preparation for that potential encounter. This place highlights the danger the Devouring Earth pose. They are a threat that cannot be taken lightly, and if humanity is to make any progress in reclaiming this the First Ward, the Seed of Hamidon will need to be eliminated from the skies above the Sunken City. Unfortunately, it is not a task that will be easily accomplished.

Poll: How do you feel about knockback?
huang3721 replied to ironjoe's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
The possible answer must exhaustive, for example: 1. How do you feel about knockback - Love - Hate - Neutral It is also possible to use ordered category: 2. Should players be able to toggle it as wanted/needed? ( 0 = disagree 5= agree) 0 1 2 3 4 5 3. Turn all knockback to knockdown?( 0 = disagree 5= agree) 0 1 2 3 4 5 Separate different ideas, to make them easier to understand. However, Keep an eye for questions that influences other questions. 4. Is knockback broken/unbalanced/whatever? -Yes. Get rid of it -Yes, but tweaks would be okay -No. Keep it as it is edit Everyone uses one question for every poll. Does this forum only support one question for each poll? -
In real life, assault rifles have hundreds of meters of effective range. My AR Blaster's maximum sniping range is 150 yards. That's barely 130 meters! Also, to add insult to injury, that guy misses pretty often!

What I am trying to say is blasters should avoid jumping into the fray. Blasters are good at killing targets from a distance since most of their primaries are ranged attacks. Some secondary powers allow you to play a blaster like a scrapper but don't do that for all blasters. Otherwise, this might happen. To fight a boss, get in range, then start blasting. Try to maintain distance as best as you could. Unless the difficulty level is set too high, that boss will die relatively fast. My hunch is that you always play a tank, so you approach a mob like a tank, although you are playing a blaster at that time. Don't worry. Blaster's strategy is not hard to memorize. How about jumping sideways? I use jumping to add distance between an aggroed mob and my character. Get in range, open fire, then jump sideways. Wait for them to come, open fire, then jump again. Still, blasters are most effective when they are attacking, not jumping around. In my opinion, you should try Hover. Also, a non-slotted blaster can withstand multiple melee attacks (3 or 4) from a boss before succumbing. Maybe you have set your difficulty level too high, or your build is inadequate for your current difficulty level. Either way, you need to rely more on kiting rather than a head-on attack.
