Thank you. I have been looking for answers like this! (Like, what the H is it good for…)
-
I have NEVER seen a team use stacked intangibles to sequester an AV. But, I am just one player. It would require serious planning before (having the right players/powers) and it would be of a relatively short duration. In short I do not like the answer. But only because I find it implausible. Calculus was used for a hundred years without a “mathematical proof” that it worked. Because it makes a ton of sense just saying what you are doing. The explanation for this…. It makes no sense to me. So I do not like it. No disrespect intended. Thank you for answering.

Yes, true. And still waiting for an example to be listed in this thread of the situation HC says they left intangible in the power for. I may get my answer. Or…

If any of you read my posts you might think I am a surly old curmudgeon who dislikes the new content. ... okay, I'll give you that one. Honestly though, I am extremely happy with the new content being added. Including design decisions I do not agree with. (I only looked at changes to Dark powers) Having new content will (hopefully) allow us to find new ways to enjoy the game. Like Aeon, run daily! (I don't, but it is a hot drop from HC team) New badges, Khallisti, new enemies, new powers, costumes. and more more more. Thank you HC team, this is really cool. now, back to your regularly scheduled complaining....

too soon?

without resorting to Snark, i am being honestly skeptical. just as scientific as they come. do you have any examples of what fights you are talking about, the enemies, why this "stacked intangible" works, what other intangible powers they stack it with? and, most importantly, how does this benefit the person/team? how do they finish the fight? how does this make it better for them? no disrespect intended. i have been proved wrong, many many times. i just do not know a fight in CoH/V that intangible is the magical "easy button" for. edit. and if there has been such a fight in the past, then it must be in the class of creatures that are not affected by trawl, and yet still affected by intangible in order for this iteration of Black Hole accomplish the aforementioned goal? is that right? what mobs?
-
i took it on my solo the entire game dark dark Corr. now at 34, so have not had it long. i use it (exclusively) to intangible mobs standing on a glowie, so i do not have to fight them. and, the fear cone works just about as good for that task.
-
My Brute days are gone it seems. I will not lay all the blame at HC buffing Tankers, …. But it did happen at nearly the same time.
-
Longbow Wardens? and if it is true that (almost?) everything that ignores trawl also ignores intangible (so much so i should drop a bug report…). WHY would they leave it in the power. To increase the randomness of trying to ise it effectively?
-
Good answers. Still irritated by the intangibility in Black Hole. Seems like an opportunity lost…
-
Did theybjust go ahead with every change theybolanned no matter what people mentioned? Because Black Hole has the strange two step effect with a intangible effect. I honestly wonder if the “feedback” section was even read…

so if you are a classic Dark Regen player you miss this? why? -
This was amazingly fun. Good costumes, good backstories. We had real difficulties choosing the best! Thanks to everyone that showed up!

this was so much fun! thanks!

this is why i beg for inf. not only does it work (sometimes...) but i find it an enjoyable part of playing my grumpy greedy vampire. it makes people uncomfortable? it just keeps getting better!!!

on my days off i will log in most of the day. but i may run 15-25 missions towards my "big goals" or less. the rest of the time i am eating, playing chess, doing laundry, studying german, chores...yuck. i wish i could game all night with a kill all team, that is the fun part for me. but i am on a tough schedule. until i win the lottery and can a new castle!

It us not that long, wall of words or no. Retoggling everything eats up most of it. If on a team, the team lost your agro mgt and dps, then the stun fills that void making you still useful, even while you stand there and endlessly pull your pants back on. -

you have obviously never had to retoggle all the dark armor, powers, leadership buffs, travel power, and anything else you have collected back on. in short, ya don't run dark armor. because that takes up a LOT of that "oh, sooooo much time...." -

poke around these forums and you will see tales of soloing GMs, ridiculously low Pylon times, speed runs through content that appear to be my loading screen times and travel between missions, but are complete TF/SF/Trial complete times. I have seen people get Sally off track and had her up on land for a half hour. People crawl through holes in the architecture. TP to fellow teammates in a map without line of sight, and about 2 dozen things nobody publishes because they do not want YOU to know... indeed, how do they do the impossible? -

If you did this, i can GAURANTEE our community would learn how to farm it. Then the nerf/new farm/nerf war would rage. Because, you propose greatly increased rewards. You may not realize how calculating some of our players are at time/reward math. Nor how creative they are at doing "the impossible" no, this is a bad bad idea. There used to be PvP base raids on live. Until the crew learned there was a logic gap where you could get a new toon to 50 with almost no effort due to a reward offered.
