  1. I needed the badge on a new 50 Corr yesterday. Also wanted to test him since this will be a low level toon for a while in a future event. (granted without exemp;d set bonuses and a ton of inspiration tray lol) Joined the next Synapse PUG rolling. We got small maps over 2/3 time. The bigger maps...not that big. This would be the one Quality of Life change I seriously wish HC Devs would do. Rather than revamp the whole Effing TF they could just dial in small maps for all the kill alls. It would change this from a trip to the dentist for 3 cavities to a postage stamp tattoo. We had a good team. A number of peeps had TT, Stealth, ATT and knew what they were doing. There was the one guy (or gal) who kept running into combat at the door, regardless of how obvious it was that we were using speed strategy. They died. A lot. I tried to help a couple times on my Corruptor. Dark/Dark is a sweet help to melee in combat. Fear, tohit debuff. Heal if i'm close. Decent cones to scourge the little robots. We would clear that group and the maniac would charge further into the warehouse. Thankfully ATT pulled me away from that. It was a fine run. Even the maniac seemed to have a good time. Although they died...sooo much. We had to wait for the ATT on the last mission for them to return from the Hosp. They got to the door first and just charged I think. Disregarding our long history of getting ATT to the objective. 58 minutes. Many congratulatory phrases from teammates. Poof, PUG was gone. Badge acquired. Low level test of Dark/Dark Corr successful.
  2. core ageless gives some end help, i do not think radial does. Musc Rad. has the +end mod i think. Glad you found a DA/SS Tank build that works. My Dark/Dark Brute has full Cardiac Core help. THere are a few oddball groups that will still dump his End Bar, I am trying to remember. Rularuu and Dev Earth in one of the Shadow Shard TF is a horrid memory.
  3. Are you running ALL the toggles? I am guessing either 1) you are not ... and as a Tank doable. 2) is the lack of End issues due to Cardiac Alpha or something similar? because if you regular play and level a Dark Armor Tank ir Brute and take the full suite if Dark Armor it is challenging
  4. Dark/SS is an especially bad parrot. Errr pairing. The end crash on top of Darks inherent End issues is Brutal. I only pair Dark Armor with Dark Melee so that i have the End Recovery power. The to hit debuffs dont hurt either
  5. I keep posting here. Why! ?! There is no one that wants this thread to die more than me. look. Folks. There is no shortage of ideas. there is a complete lack of willpower like a person who “wants” to do X in a year. Looks at all the possible ways to get there. Then does absolutely nothing for the next year because someone keeps telling them they should just be happy how they are. the parrot is dead. It is a deceased parrot. Bereft of life Rest in peace. The parrot is no more. Move On. The parrot will not be moving on. We all should
  6. Some of my oldest and favorite story concepts are SS and Invul Will stuff. I can write about such things. But with the exception of a very few they are not Hulk Clones. So CoH, much as I desperately wanted to ignore the issues and olayed the sets for years, has failed to help me tell these characters super stories. I have moved on to running some undead, which I can reasonably create in CoV and does inspire me to put pen to paper the fact that this topic hits a raw nerve is all the more reason to never run these again makes a note to shatter a few of the SS builds and yoink all the purples and shield walls off. Havent played them in a year or so
  7. thanks, i wanted the ranged def from 6 slot Cloud Senses, squeaked me over 45 lol
  8. I ran SS/Invul and SS/Will Brutes for a long time. I currently have two farmers. One SS/Fire one Rad/Fire. SS is so annoying to me ar this point that i cannot run it anymore. We are done. they will not rework SS. They will not fix Invul T9. Sad. Over it
  9. I have started and abandoned this particular character a few times. Was at mid 30s yesterday and decided to just do it. Took my alt account farmer and ground through pulling him. Then opened the Alpha slot. Did the Respec this morning. Except for a minor issue with a decimal buying catalyst that cost me a few tens of millions things went okay. The more I look at this the more I like it. Not Blaster damage. But very good damage. Not Dominator controls, but very very nice soft controls with stun and fear and slow movement. The to hit debuff is insane. There may be other archetypes that get more out of the to hit debuff on Dark, but the Corruptor is no slouch. The Jack of All Trades master of none did not appeal to me. But I have played a 50 Dark/Dark Blaster now and a 50 Dark/Dark Corruptor. i am starting to see the value of this type of fluidity in role. Late edit: turns out this is NOT my 1st 50 Corr on HC. I have an Ice/Ice. So strong. So....not what I was looking for. i may revisit it and play after I get my style dialed in here. I do believe he might still be fully built and forgot lol. Damned you 1000 character slots! But it came up in a conversation last night and triggered a dim memeory. I am definitely enjoying this. It is the Undead style that triggers my desire to wrie something about a character. Now i just need to put pen to paper. Not saying this is the best build, but here is what I slapped on. 10. I really thought this was going to be about the stupid kidnap victims....er rescued persons....inability to get to the mission door. Haven’t seen a gripe thread about that in a while.
  11. Thanks to both of you. Great info. I have room to 6 slot Cloud Senses and I chase Ranged Defense on my Squishies. This Corruptor is actually the easiest build I have made in a very long time.
  12. I think it is 5. But i have not explored every corner of the game. If you find 6+ do let us know oh you can also throw the ice cone judgement on there. But it is hot garbage in my opinion
  13. Is this a good power? How should I slot it. (do NOT say recipes...) thanks
  14. I use a Razer 20 key pad and a razer mouse. They are meh. The keypad is the only one like it, but i am using it less and less right now. I agree the software is buggy as crap. They actually conflict with each other because one version of their software supports one, another version the other. Like....you idiots cannot even coordinate your own product line? and you are in computer devices? really? omfg.
  15. When i do my “solo all Redside” which includes every contact and every mission Port Oakes is one of my favorite places The introductory arcs in Mercy are pretty good. But in Port Oakes you start to ease into being a super villain. The family has a number of story lines there. Where better to learn that mooks with machine guns got nothing on a Super Villain? Yes to Mr Bocor. The battle with the Sea Witch was actually quite harrowing on live with just SOs and no idea what to do lol. The Radio. F ng Epic! Veluta is great. The entire Fort Hades Ghost trapping is ....challenging. It was especially a pain before the changes. Now it is just the right amount of flavor in all a well done zone. Redside does not have as many choices per level range as Blue. But it sure has quality
  16. But really 4 pts of KB prot should mitigate 95% of that stuff in game. 1-3 is not great. 4 is good. 5-7 is about the same as 4
  17. Most of KB mitigation in this build is high ranged defense and to hit debuffs. Even some of my Brutes roll with 4 pts ( my Dark Dark Brute i mained for 6 months, a resist armor at that). another key element is flying. The character is always flying. KB when flying is a pirouette. Then you can attack again
  18. i mostly take pools for mules and utility. i take kick when i need fighting pool and to me it is only useful to mule a +rech basically i am saying it hardly matters to me the underlying stats on these mediocre powers. i like the recent changes to stealth and fly. sets i use a lot i was less than happy with RoP changes but i am not running Brutes much anymore. Still, it was a rough change to high recharge builds.

-blinks- -snickers- let's break this down princess. I do not demand anything. I made a very slightly Snarky (registered Trademark, pat pending) response to your vague reply. You came back with a question about me not understanding recipes. Mock you? I don't even know you. Buy me a cup of coffee first. geez. Didn't go my way? Is life supposed to go a certain way? No one ever showed me that part. Things happen, other things happen. It is when the reactants react to form products that have a different intellectual formula that art shows itself to be more than wall covering, lumps of material, or random letters jumbled together. Thank you for your mashing. Your efforts have not been without some success. I am amused.
  20. I prefer Ice Ice, for me it is so much easier. But, it is not spectacular. It is a "support blaster" I do Dark/Dark for my vamp theme. Dark/Dark and Dark/Mental are almost exactly the same. I feel (my perception) they do more damage and are more effective than ice/ice. THose to hit debuffs really let you unleash from PB range. My Dark/Dark is nearly a BlasTank. But it is a lot of work and feeding the end bar is a constant battle. But it is the most damaging thing I run. It is on my books to try a Fire/Electric. supposedly one of the most effective Blappers. Not in my theme book but you may look at that. Good luck.
  21. The great thing about having either the 4 or 5 cones is if PB is too hot you can just sit at 40-60 and train a fire hose of AoE on the spawns. One is always up. Problem lining up a cone? Not when you have an endless chain of them. You will dial it right in. It is a little labor intensive but it seems similar to Ices big DoT AoEs. Stuff will melt. Then for hard targets you have ST. 24. Hmmmm. I rarely backtrack on Snark. Not really going to this time either. If i wasn't on your global ignore list before I probably am now. But I seriously did not read past your first three paragraphs and into the RULES! Then I posted Snark and moved on. For this I do apologize. You have a serious story. You ability to write about it in a compelling way is noted. So I will share a bit. I do not ignore anyone. I will team with anybody. Do not ask why, I honestly have no idea myself. There is great successes. There are....well, mistakes are made. When i see someone post something like "my ignore list is so big..." (how I read it) I am like "toss me on there as well" I am a lowbie villain. in every sense of the word. petty small vindictive, opportunistic. These are my good qualities. The only way I exclude people is by pushing them away. I honestly hope you are doing better physically. That is all we can hope for, is to progress to being a little better. My physical difficulties are not as extreme as yours. But I do have a few, not the least of which is advancing years. So from one petty villain to someone who writes a compelling narrative (when I finally take time to read it) I wish you the best, in game, and in life.

Seriously? So your advice was “put enhancers in it” with supplemental info they should be anything that is crafted? thanks. I do understand that powers need to be enhanced. I also realize sets of enhancements from recipes tend to be better than single origin enhancers i was looking for more specific information. Like, is the power bad good or great. I am learning people perceive it to be good. If i did take it how would i enhance it. Please do not say “with recipes” again. Funny. Not as helpful though
