Not lying, I have tanked a +4 ITF with that Fire Blaster for a squishy team. And when i started rambling in Discord and did not stay with the team they had deaths and problems. So I focused back in for the rest of the ITF. No more problems. It is insane how much damage it does and how much trash disappears dropping non stop fat and heavy kill zones of fire everywhere.

what? level ?-50 contacts not being unlockable at 50? i misread that. okay. i am doing those two at 44 out of satey. only two in game with that range i just went into full geek lock OCD cramps lol

On my Dark Dark Corruptor now. I have two, one I speed levelled and have run for 120 vet levels. One I have been running since March doing every Contact red/blue/gold every mission. Now 44. You gave a one sentence roll off on Dark. Fair enough, you are not wrong. Here is what you missed. I take all ST attacks in Dark Blast. This gives a solid attack chain for hard targets in all situations. The use of a targeted toggle to hit/damage debuff is very good against hard targets. When dealing with large mobs I come in hard. Fearsome Stare. Then I throw Dark Pit, Targeted AoE Disorient (mag 2), then I step into the middle of my new friends. Running my Oppressive Gloom AoE Disorient (mag 2) toggle. (stacking and very important in this time) Then I drop Tar Patch at my feet. Spirit Drain for a nice build up, Then Blackstar. Now I joust out to a nice corner. I have Fear cone, damage cone, immob cone, and Knockdown cone. Most with damage, most with to hit debuffs. I run +range out the yazoo. Those cones are mostly fat and wide and long. keep targeting things center mass and spraying. Non suppressing stealth, a ST heal for myself and an AoE Heal that is a to hit/dam debuff. Then a Rez that will yoink a whole league back onto its feet, while slapping -500% regen on the target. Oh, and a self Rez. (with a mag 10 stun...) Triple Dark. Or, as you say, "Cool set thematically with cool attacks and customization. No Target or Location damage AOE's, all cones so you need to play just outside the pack. -Hit is good early/mid but falls off later. Damage is workable but not the best, also PBAOE T9. Give it some damage!" I guess opinions vary. But I find either solo or on a team I always have an easy to choose tool for getting something done NOW.

Perfect thanks. I guess another few days at 44 lol. I still need to do Red 40-44, then Tina and Angus. Then one weird contact that tops at 49. Then, finally, 50 this very long run.

These two are listed as 40-45 in the wiki. I do not normally run blue. I asked this in general and got what looked like best guesses Does anyone know FOR SURE the level ranges on these two are 40-45?

This theme is a lot of fun. We been running two full teams. A lot of trollers. I am on a Ele/Ele Tank. A few other random ATs. Think we are mostly mid 20s after two gaming sessions.

Blue Steel, isn’t he the one that beat some civilian mostly to death and basically created Clockwork King? And speaking of creepy, I know Clockwork King is a villain, …. most, but not all, level ranges in CoH/V end before the x5 or x0. so, 4, 9, 14, 19, etc. Tina Mac and Angus McQueen show 40-45. is that correct? if so i prefer to grab that one extra level before knocking them out. But I have to be 100% sure and not outlevel them...

someone smart recently told me he reason nemesis uses humans for his creations is he dislikes computers. so he uses "wet ware" even captives can be used, as he needs the automatic brain systems. the Jaegers, they could be animal types. dog brains for instance. them shooting might be the bark response to enemies, or bite response

in another twenty years, if i have not been staked, i will look back with nostalgia on this topic. because the writing will not be topical. it will be cliche and the entire social convo will have moved on. it will look tired, old, and corny. hmmm, .... like a lot of CoH writing.... look, good writing is hard. Game of Thrones is a great example. yes, the author writes at a glacial pace, but... it is good. have a bunch of "pros" committee write a final season and sling it out the door. hmmm, ... results may be different. i have not dont the Khallisti Wharf arcs yet. still finishing my solo every contact stupidity. where i do not read hardly anything besides mission titles and mission goals. and that is what i will do in Khallisti. so, all the bad writing will be totally wasted on me. But this thread's whine? i could offer...

additionally, if the find contact lists people in the range that are not open (with an indicator of course) this would be the gold standard. then you can choose to search out, or not, these stories.

I cannot believe you guys ard going in about this. It is bad story writing. It is CoH. There are around 400? CoH contacts. Name 20 that gave well written stories. I bet you cannot. They are either bland or way off kilter. Nor do I think this is a problem in CoH. I grew up with 4 color comics and sci fi novels. The conics were cool… but the stories? Pretty weak compared to real writing.
