was actually trying to get all ( all but the tips (lvl 20) and the lvl 30 mission) valentine badges. and i did it. by juggling my alt acct farmer to help and a few lucky pugs. also Ridiculous Girl stepped in a couple times to help! (Thanks! ... oder, vielen Dank!)

I find the pat auras... a bit much. even the "light" ones. if i could control bats I would NOT want them buzzing me constantly. A single bat pet that i could turn on/off w/o going to a tailor? More my style. So... How about a new vanity pet?

To commemorate my decision to rejoin the Forum I am restarting my completionist run. On a Dark Dark Corruptor. I am grabbing my signature name "Snarky" So, if you see a level 2+ vampire running around Excelsior... yep, it is me. I do not find "writing" a vampire in CoH/CoV particularly easy. But I think a Dark Dark Corr comes closest to it. Well, Stalker is closer, but I find melee dreadfully boring after doing it on Brutes forever.... 🙂

good luck. here is a spreadsheet i use. blue you have to eliminate contacts whose content is exactly the same as contacts with a different name. Wes Schnabel, for instance, is slightly bugged. but there are a couple contacts who offer his content who are not. so it depends who rng sends you to. i have not updated this sheet in a couple years. no warranties for errors. also, for blue contacts, i find the only way to get everything is doing everything at the bottom of their level ranges. tedious, yet the best chance of getting it right. contacts CoH CoV.xlsx

This thing pops off like a unicorns fart. This really kills immersion (for me and many villains) because .... I do not want to look like a unicorn farted on me. look, Dominators are VILLAINS, right? Seriously. I would run a Dark Dark Dom as my Main "Snarky" Except.... Unicorn Farts. How many other villain concepts are ruined by this? On a Villain AT?

i do a LOT of weird stuff in game. soloing in an mmorpg. badging every zone on a new toon, etc. in many of my journeys it is very useful to have my alt acct 50 mentor the new toon to make things a lot easier. abandoned sewers, shadow shard are tough on a lvl 1 lol. how about putting an NPC on each side (or in the D) that any character can walk up to and get instant lackeyed to 49? then people who are new, so not have alt acct 50s, etc, can get these benefits as well?

so many times lol. the lower levels are hard, turn off xp at 4, 7, 8, 9, then 14, 19, now 20. 20 is a sweet spot because the p2w enhancements function. so a lot of stuff 20-24 is better done at 20. from there 24, 29, 34, 39, 44.

oh i never said longbow was evil or bad. one of the most annoying things about them is the river of ever hopeful would be do-gooders swelling their ranks. longbow is not a secret society, nor do i believe it has a corrupt core. i simply, and by my nature unchangeably, believe that with the power longbow has it will inevitably cause bad things to happen, have personnel within it's ranks abuse power, have 'cliques' that form inside who are following the rules....but some of the pages they made up themselves, in an honest (and probably doomed) effort to make things better. and then the Lt Harris problems arise everywhere. even, or especially, with groups like Longbow. and lastly, the war that Longbow fights will continually weigh down those who fight the battles. and they will become, inevitably, a tad bit grey.

Why? Because I missed you guys. I like sharing my "wisdom" such as it is. Where have I been? Not far. I game Fri and Sun Evenings with Justice Superteamers on Excelsior. They run themed teams. Excellent gamers. I also run quite a bit solo. My latest project? An AR/Dev Blaster who is soloing every contact in the game. Currently level 20, 789 badges. According to city data terminal 624 missions completed, 2 failed. 753 merits, although i have 1221, which i assume the difference is giant monsters and zone badging, etc. enemies defeated 21,644. theme is "little green army men" toon is Green Sarge on Excelsior. yes, i shrank him with mini mode. he is fun. i think AR/Dev Blaster is probably one of the most efficient toons to do this type of project with. i used to use Brutes. yeesh. Mostly I solo. although I have led a very few TF/SF. The Posi One was... a Posi One! I held out zero hope of any coordination. Much to my surprise, as we zone into the last mission a teammate (I am leading but saying very little) suggests we do not "rescue" the last hero until we clear around the front of city hall. I get in team chat and say what a great idea this is. i tell everyone what the plan is. Then the shitheads saved everyone, the last guy was under the guy with one huge ball. The pulled everyone AND two of them jumped to city hall front door immediately. I ate inspirations, threw down caltrops, and thanked the stars I bought all the P2W grenades.... We made it. Barely. Oh, Posi One. Always a weird run...

That is because, in this case, CoH accurately reflects the real world. I HATE Longbow. I started as a villain, and they have been kicking my butt for a long time. And me theirs. I wish there was a badge for 10,000 Longbow, and 100,000! Longbow are accurate, in my opinion. NO "good" groups in the real world have EVER stayed 100% moral. The higher their standard, the farther they fall from reaching it. Especially over time. Many humans are idealists, especially when young. You see these folks race to join the fight, "do right" and "change the world" Years go by. If they survive, and are somehow still at it, they have seen a LOT usually. And they are just "trying to get by" "doing the best they can in the situation" "make it to retirement" "...get revenge for the wrongs they have personally seen, whether their superiors/order/group would agree... in a public statement that is..." Longbow is another in a long long line of all too human organizations that turn highly moral motivated children into warriors, into veterans, into morally questioning and morally questionable fighters just trying to make it through the day getting it "mostly right"
