  1. i have went through this 3 times. two of my porters just will not connect. have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times
  2. …. A giant step backward. In fact a monumental step backward. Base aficionados want more control, not lesd SGs have problems recruiting already. This only has the opportunity to make that worse. No upside.
  3. Thanks for the tips! Yes, I am struggling mightily lol. I have little choice but to use the Structures Ledges for 99% of my bulk work. I used 12 of the non color "invisible out of editor mode" Towers. This got me 18 or 19 floors. I am using a bit of an anthill design. I do not want a square brick, which might have been easier but dreadfully boring. It is symmetrical, but not perfectly so. Both because I did not want it to be and also because the editor throws huge curveballs at me. I got all 12 towers clad and the floors (that i wanted, roughly 40% of the "easy" possible building space on the towers. Now i am working on the exterior walls. roughly 1/3 done. I have some basic services in place but have not really "moved in" during heavy construction. You can plop items on top of the floors, although sometimes, like everything in the base editor, it fights you. In that case shift and levitate. Thanks for the tip sbout surface tile over the ledges. That will be very useful when I get into serious decorating. Looking forward to exploring lighting. It is Dark! Good thing I am a vampire lol.
  4. Well... I managed to get the thing to work. I have clad the whole building ( so far 16 support columns and most of the floors) in the Structure Surface black grid. (The thing is 18 stories tall...) Now I am terrible at getting the thing to snap if I try Luckily I do not have to. I find a spot at the top and anchor a sheet of "Surface Tile" then slap on more "Structure Surface black grid, matching my flooring and existing columns. I will work one floor at a time and remove the Surface Tile after I have slapped on a wall in that area AND a surface tile going in the direction I am building. that is key.
  5. So.... How do you go abpout that. I tried taking one of the surfaces and flipping that. Spent 5 minutes and I might as well have been juggling eggs. If I was successful that would have been 1% of my needs. What do I do here?
  6. my to hit is spot on at 93.2 (tactics and kismet)
  7. Were you enacting with the world in any way? buffs from league etc that might be in the .51%_ range. or tiny set bonuses or ato stuff?
  8. It is not perfect... but if you place it in first with snap, then disable snap sometimes that is good.
  9. perfect thanks Thankfully I build like the egyptians. monumental achitecture.... comparatively little inside
  10. I have been using a LOT of Structure/Platform to clad / form the bones of the crazy thing I am pasting together. The good. Solid simple color (black) that I can slap down on a grid and move in, making 10s thousand a square feet in no time. The Platform pieces are great for this. they even look like solid building material.. maybe 8 in thick, The bad. When I place something on it.... They are 0 inches thick according to the snap to, and anything I put on them sinks down, losing nearly a foot. Then, I can, tediously, manually raise each piece. This is both time consuming and non uniform. Is there a solution to this?
  11. 1) i expect competent play from my teammates 2) i have been known to pull moves so stupid even i cannot figure out what i expected to accomplish 3) do not expect me to heal you because i run one of the better healers in the game (dark dark corr) Find some inspiration … or don’t 4) do not join a Master run and immediately state you dont know the missions after it starts. 5) You need to learn some of the dozen transport options to most places. 6) it is DFB. Not DBF or FBD or BFD. And NO, there are none just randomly happening Redside. 7) Do not go near City Hall in Posi 1 until the team has cleared the area. Ever. Seriously. You cannot be that drunk and still be breathing. 8 a Synapse should never be run at +level. Ever 9) a little respect goes a long way. A lot of respect makes me wonder about your mental state 10) if you are wondering whether to put me on ignore, just do it. I can promise you the relationship does not get better than it is now. Remember me fondly
  12. …you do realize the whole thing was a riff off you saying “I suggested” and the topic is “why is 7 ft called Remote?” Errrr right?
  13. YOU are the one who asked for an attack with a 7 ft range to be called “Remote?” You are a sick individual! Don’t you know Devs ignore all reasonable requests, digging through messages until they find something like this? Then they implement it and say “we do what the players ask!” Aaaargh! What is wrong with you?
  14. There is a wonderful group of items in the first tab of the base editor. Including surface tile. Which, like everything in the base editor, is a pain to work with. but I started messing with it. One of my peeves about base items is they are not truly 3 dimensional. Usually, they have no bottom. So, if you are building epic tall structures. people look up. and see nothing. So, I made a few rows of columns and manueverd the tiles up on top. Put glass floor "surface" on that. colored "Surface Tile grey. Was happy. I had a floor, glass, and from underneath a obvious structure. out of base editor most of the Surface tiles disappeared. A couple stayed grey. What am I working with here? Is there a way to keep them there, and keep them grey? Similary I put in the tall tower as a base. It was invisible until I put some objects on it. Now it is grey all the way up/ Will it disappear after a few hundred hours work on it?
  15. you have to use F5 to change attachment point
  16. can the teleport points be attached to anything besides a wall? nvm figured it out
  17. Fiction? I will tell you what is fiction… Wait, no. If tou want to know what is fiction I am providing that info for 59,990,000. Just email me that and I will tell you everything you need to know. Righteously truthfully yours, Snarky.
  18. just one question... what does this mean? it appears to be in english. but the meaning eludes me the first tab of what? where? are we talking there are surfaces you are building with in the 1st tab of...? is this an editing conversation instead? you are editing a surface picked elsewhere? The editing surfaces in the first tab
  19. figured the issue. I did not realize you had to place the piece. Then regrab it and move it. So, the full procedure is. 1 Place 1st pillar 2 Place 2nd pillar same place as 1st (actually place it, drop it like it is there permanent) 3 Re-Grab 2nd pillar, shift, left mouse and scroll, pillar moves up/down with F3 set to clipping enabled. Pillars are floor items, f5 set to floor To attack blocks platform, decorations at top change f5 to object attachment. To anyone who is interested or encountered similar "basic" questions that are blown past in videos on how to rotate things 90 degrees and insert through a keyhole. Now I need to figure how to get things to align. Which I am sure somewill will say "You just place it and then it aligns itself" Leaving out steps, 2, 5. 6 , and 8 including settings on various F keys and assumptions that you are doing it the way they always do.
  20. not working, and someone just showed me they could do it.
  21. I am trying that. It is absolutely not working. And someone jusy showed me they were doing it. My shift key causes no change in objects behavior
