Just got that in my email. So we should have another superhero mmorpg any year now

I just made a cool villain. Then immediately went to Pocket D and slammed him Vigilante so I could actually run 4 DFBs. While in Atlas Park level 1 I got onto a crazy farm train (still on it, level 37 and going) So where do I want the guy to be at 35?-50? I WANT him to be a villain. Lets look at the Alignment powers for a Brute. ….Villain Alignment power is near useless with a 50 Brute. You will peg Fury in seconds of enemy contact. Confuse? Rogue power, good for solo story quest. Hero power....nice. grrr. Vigilante power is cool. So the best power for a Brute is the hero power. Sad. Lets talk about content. Okay, so we need Blueside access unless LGTF, ITF, and Incarnate TF are all you plan to do. (and that is tempting) I take a deep breath and think about the characters backstory and look. I am leaning toward Villain with him. Its going to be a lot of Inf in the build but points for style are more important than an alignment power or missing Blueside TFs. If I had not gotten onto this crazy farm I would have left him Blue to do the TFs to level. Now I don't need to. So this will be a pure Villain, as written an hour or two ago in character gen. But I already have a Vigilante on the server with a similar build just different power sets. this was an experiment that I got lucky with. Most alts don't get lucky, they struggle with running Blueside off concept and start to irritate and are then abandoned.

it would be loud in certain zones. also if you are on a squishy in a zone that is tough for your character your ears are one of your best assets. that crackle telling you a clockwork has fixated on you is really important. Having some random NPC mention you beat down Bob the Council chief not so much.

I recently switched servers and forced myself not to get a personal base. so i did some research on the server i went to. This involved a quick trip to the server message board. Rather than start a new thread topic i browsed recent threads asking about SGs. I quickly found a posted response about a long time running active SG and coalition i created my character on the new server and posted a few tells every hour until i got a response. I think i only posted a few. It was not frustrating so it must have been quick. I have almost no patience the next part did require a few actions but the SG was very good about working with me. I joined their discord. I played actively with the SG for over a week. I joined their in game chat channels. They are a good crew so this was all easy. Although i am still lost on Discord. They have more forum headers than these message boards then they invited me to the SG. I missed the first invite because it was through Discord. But i was in game a lot and playing with the crew on teams formed on SG channels and someone threw me an invite i still havent been in the base. I use the quick transport bases that have become popular. The SG dedicated channel is just a third chat channel for organizing TFs and content. But my efforts payed off by getting me connected with a laid back knowledgeable and active group of geeks. Goal achieved i do wish we could have more than one SG per toon. I have wanted this for a long time going back to live. It makes great sense from a storage perspective and from a comic book perspective as well. How many major characters were in multiple super groups multiple comic titles? Seriously. Like almost all

there is one part I can think of that is something like that. it is the tech knight belt, w/ option. coloring the inside of it is a pain. you have to color the entire character or it wont change appearance

It is the gross base unenhanced power value on the left. The number on the right is the adjusted value from the enhancers in that power. I do not believe this includes global enhancements from enhancement set bonuses or temporary buffs from team powers. It will include buffs from things like alpha incarnate slot since those go directly onto enhancer bonuses. As stated above the number May not be completely accurate.

At low levels titan weapons dark amor and to a lesser extent invulnerability struggle with endurance issues. Kin is great fir them or the other buffer that gives endurance. really most brutes achilles heal is their end bar. That is why they loathe super stunners malta sappers and carnies

Everlasting is a very good and vibrant server. Truly uber super geeks over there. It is also a role playing server. You can run in teams over there, but they only truly warm up when you have an outfit, a backstory, and spend some time chatting, in character, as that is more the focus than experience grinding. They grind, oh yes, they are excellent TF runners, some of the finest PUG teams, but they shine at RP. That's the whole deal over there. Excelsior is a bit busier, a bit more wild west, and maybe slightly less organized. Smart peeps, but by the very nature not as focused on others gaming experience. To give an example. There is a starter trial. Death From Below. Sewer madness, usually run a few times to powerlevel a new toon. There is a badge in it, that takes a little coordination to get. Nearly every Everlasting PUG team I run on gets that badge 95% time, whether anyone even mentions they need it. On Excelsior? Heh. It....can happen? People seem a little happily shocked when they get it. (and I set it up 90% time to just fall in their lap....still you have to be disciplined to get it) So, yeah. Everlasting is excellent playerbase, very active. But more focused on the character experience than the grinding experience. Wherever you pick I know every server is filled with the best gamers of any MMORPG in the world. Homecoming is really just that for a lot of us. So enjoy, don't be afraid to ask questions,. I have a few main archetypes. Strongman, Undead, Robot. Sometimes a weird mix. Oh, and brain in a jar, always wrapped up in both robot parts and usually death energy. My current 'main' is a Dark Dark Brute, "minor death" or "reaper" who hung up his sickle and struck out on his own. He currently resides mostly in Ouroboros. Although he has yet to join and do the story arc. He is truly an outsider. I have no doubt he will join, he is a badger, but it will be once he understands a bit more about the con job the Menders are running. Until then, he watches. Also a good place to join groups getting more incarnate power.

a lot (not all, but a lot) of story content story arc, and game exploration...is solo. At least that is what I have seen. PUGs do not have much patience for 99% of story arcs. I have a decent amount of time in grinding missions and arcs from contacts. Solo. It is my belief this is pretty common. The exception would be a group who do arcs together. I have not gotten into a group like that. I think it would be bad as F to start at level 1 and story arc with the same team all the way to 50. Not every arc, but maybe a planned tour for the team through content to Incarnate stuff. I do not think most groups who do arcs do it that way, but being a complete obsessive that's what I look at as the ultimate.

I would use magic origin. It was with Dark Magic that the Hamidon created itself. I would go Bio Armor I would use all of the asymmetrical parts and probably Search for odd looking textures and addons to make the costume as inhuman as possible. I would use the elongated alien skull and search for poeces that fit on that without clipping that fit the rest of the costume pulling the head back into the design i would go tank or brute. Hami is tough. I would probably go dark melee for 3 reasons. 1) hami is tough and this set makes any melee tougher. 2) hami was created with dark magic. 3) i really enjoy Dark melee and have it on a few of my incarnated 50s

There are always exceptions. On my Dark Dark Brute i run 12 toggles. And super high recharge is part if the focus of the build. Because it brings up the PBAoEs in Dark melee that replenish health and end and come up so often they are a miny AoE attack chain in themselves especially with Judgement layered in top on e in a while

I really like this clarification. Not being Snarky. Well. I mean. I am Snarky. But. Okay i been watching too much SNL anyways the logic is perfect. Not being perma is not a huge deal. The only time you need a solid perma is for Perma-Domination. My main is a super high recharge Brute. Hasten has a very small downtime. It is not a deal killer. I waste more time combining inspirations and lining up where i want all my next attacks to group for max carnage.

the cheesiest and smallest pet peeve. yet still a real immersion breaker. Standing in a low level zone map like AP. 8ft tall Tank, Armored, level 50. HEAVY. little old lady walks into you and pushes you into a fountain.....

Right. That is what i suspected. The “leadership” from our political parties has been woefully short and misdirected it seems to me. The information, even from the portions of rhe news media who have sounded a warning tone for a while, have drastically failed to communicate the severity of the situation i listen to NPR all the time in my semi. Even this fairly educated and cautious group of journalists seemed to miss the gravity of this story. Only picking up on it a few weeks ago it seems. Granted they were not saying the exact opposite of what was happening as some media talking heads have done, still i am surprised by the situation. As someone that listens to news all the time that is disturbing

A "Kaufman Retrograde" From a Star Trek fighting game. The tactic is to fly the Federation ships backward. The photon torpedos face forward, so your enemy is taking time to get to you while facing your armament. Worked decent against everyone and great against Romulans whose main weapon lost power over distance. But the tactic was basically to make the enemy take longer to get to you as you fought them. Also, slightly freaked that we are now surpassing 100 deaths a day in Covid19 illnesses. This was my metric above for "we ignore this..." That happened fast. Where are we on the curve and the doctors are already screaming at us it will get worse before it gets better. Again, the curve. is it getting worse but at a lessening rate? Or is it getting worse and still increasing in strength? I studied no medicine. I have looked at math. These are not good numbers.

I think the point is. We do not stop the economy to a dead halt. Instead we allow a 16 year old to own a car and drive. Younger ownership for guns cars kill. Guns kill. People still go about their lives flu kills. Stop 🛑 everything. Hoard toilet paper. Hide which is why i no longer believe it is the covid19 flu. I think it is the start of biological warfare that has escaped from a lab. I think that is why senators on the intel commissions are selling everything. They know the economy is not coming back

I recently needed a few complete purple sets and other odds and ends for a build I shopped hard, bought low, converted cheaper enhancers to make the ones I need. a little over an hour. then overbid on my last purchase, enhancement boosters. by a factor of 10, extra zero. 200 mil gone, because I was bidding on 10

I just pulled in to a company i haul steel for. Usually 10,000 pounds a day. Sometimes 20-40. I asked if i could use the reatroom. He directed me to use the one at the business next door ( not a public company orone i do business with). I asked “ will they let me?” He says, straight face, “i don’t see why not.” If the economy wasnt sliding into a depression i would have driven off. Dead serious. Turns out i need this job a few more days

Lol yeah. A couple years driving Metro and my skills are definitely better. Portland OR is an old city and no tractor trailer does well here. There are tricks you can get pretty good with. But there is a physical limitation that you cannot get past as well Oregon just issued a shelter in place order. Trucking companies are exempt. But most of the places i got coffee and/or emptied my bladder are looking like zombie apocalypse hit. I found out we have had 100 automobile related deaths a day going back many years in this country. As a working driver this is not a shock to me. But... why are we shutting down the entire country for far smaller numbers of Covid19 deaths?

If i see a post in Help “is there a GM online?” I usually take the time to respond “ i am NOT a GM. But what is your issue?” A d sometimes one of us in Help (actually more often than not) are able to figure it out. A couple times i have seen a response that is basically “ i am GM xyz, we are working on this”. that shows how helpful active and interwoven our community is thank you to all the volunteer GMs Devs, Creationeers and their support network. This game and this community rocks
