I want top tier 1 2 3rd place in being able to DPS big hard targets, but i am mostly referring to standard room clears. (like I experience with Fire Blaster) So, just standard murder hobo playstyle without sacrificing really good giant HP amoeba fighting ability.

So you are saying Stealth reduces spawn rates and sizes?

I have a Fire^3 Blaster built just for +damage initial "first strike" job. Not a ton of procs, unless naturally in a set i wanted. But +% damage in sets, Alpha +45% damage, Interface Reactive DoT etc etc and, of course, i love it I was wondering what is the "highest DPS" Corruptor? Since Corr add so much to team possibilities let me be clear, this toon might be on teams, but will be built to solo. So, buffing TEAM damage will be less important than leveraging SOLO play DPS. I suspect Fire Blast will be the primary, of courtse. Burt I am open to being shocked. But what Secondary? I have some guesses, but that is all they are. There are some great sets in Corr to increase damage, but it seems some are kind of "busy" and you will be "setting up the battlefield" more than actually...erm, killing things. Which looks counterproductive....

Mine is saved. I play dark for my vampire theme. But, honestly, that Fire^3 blaster is the best for me. I run a couple times a week with Justice Superteamers on Excelsior. I went into a 4/8 fire farm (which had 2-3 brutes/tanks) and did fine for 20 minutes. With a Fire^3 Blaster built for DPS. When the meatheads bogged down sometimes i jumped into the next 1-2 spawns (tight pack fire tunnel) and never had an issue. So, in theory this can be done. Caveat; i practiced for months on this character in all kinds of insanity. And it was not relaxing. Exhilarating yes. But not chill. This is a death dance where any mistake will be paid for. There is a reason people use Brutes and Tanks. They are effective efficient and effing fun. Chill predictable and so easy you can afk. my fire build is posted in various threads in Blaster forum. It is nothing special, just a built for pure + damage fire blaster. All incarnates are max plus initial damage. Concept is first strike is last strike. Fire ftw. But, again, this is not a good idea for long term farming.

This is interesting. But sort of makes sense. Remember the DFB is alignment specific. The trainers are the clue. I had never tried and always wondered. But this just makes sense. now the question is can Redsiders in pocket D run a DFB with vigilantes?

Is anyone starting Halloween themed teams? Frankenstein Tank, Werewolf Scrapper, Vampire Stalker etc etc

Depends on AT. If a Tank i stay with group. If on a. Rute and team has no Tank …same. On a Blaster? I could be anywhere. Anywhere

No. The only other game i know is WoW. Due to the ebil shutdown. CoH has always had about the same ratio of “just do it” players and “be courteous” players. It is so predictable. And has not changed much if at all. The smaller servers probably have more courteous players as they tend to congregate there. I play Excelsior. Started on Liberty Redside (ghost town) the Freedumb, then Virtue.

with ice blasters and corr i use 3. drop on myself, drop on target, and the default place wherever i drop the mouse cursor. Ukase actually wrote those for me. Thanks!

Corruptors are the only Archetype where every power combo yields an “S” class toon. I would suggest finding a combo that yoo like the theme of and that has the powers you want

I never tried it. I could be wrong. But slapping Force Feedback into every power that can take it seems… counterproductive

i am running my 1st stone armor since a level 32 brute on live. but.... i am lost lol it is a stone/dark tank. with rooted on i can use the temp fly power. which everything says no you cannot. the only info i found was in this post, and this just confuses me more...

I joined a Posi 1. Which was ran at level 8. People do that. I know why. Whatever. We were melee heavy and lost our only defender before last mission. So a corr a troller and 5 melee. It was okay until the shadows. Evidently the troller or the corr had a LOT of -perception-to hit. On my 4th hosp run i grabbed two large team yellows and we finished. The Posi 2 i wanted to lead. But no one wanted to join. Flea joined up (evidently our 1st in game run) and we duo’d it. Ran at +0/x1 and we breezed in at 29 min. Me on my TW/Inv Brute and Flea on a Blaster. Easy peasy.

I firmly disagree. We all know the difficulty of Oranbega. Tight corridors, strange layouts, and tough mobs which are oftentimes stacked. Welcome to Redside. The Redside maps and mobs were different and changed the game. Someone anonymous Redsider came up with ROFLSTOMP and we made it OURS. When your team (and it takes a team) looks down a two hundred yard corridor packed with +4 CoT and starts lunging forward and drooling you know you have arrived. No. Do not toddler proof CoT and Oranbega maps. Cinch up those training pants and head out soldier!
