that is the game, the way it always is. i am running a character doing every bit of content on each contact 1-50. now at 44. when i get a contact open i copy/paste all their wiki missions into a word doc. they may have 1-3 arcs. or 0. they may have 6-40 missions. i will get offered 1-2 missions the 1st time i talk to a contact. after completing that mission i get offered 1-2 others, often 1. the story arcs usually offer after 1-8 missions. you do not just have the contact, walk up to them and tell them which of their missions you are running.

Backstory for a Justice Superteamers Excelsior themed team. Starting 8/17 in Nova Praetoria. Character is an alternate dimension Snarky, who starts out as a normal Paragon citizen on a Friday Night... The Tale I was having a great night. My hot new girlfriend had invited me to this super exclusive party in King’s Row. There were multiple kegs, open bar, and a smoking hot blues band. I am not super into Blues, but they were incredibly good. A lot of the lyrics (that I could hear) seemed to be really old classic blues stuff. Then the evening took a weird turn. This super cute short lady wanted to dance with me. We were out on the floor when I noticed my girlfriend, and she seemed pissed. Within seconds she had a couple “friends” throw me out! I think they were Hellions too! The super cute lady followed me out, she was sympathetic. I got her number, we talked. She wanted to kiss me! Okay… I went with it. The next thing I know she bit me. Hard. I passed out. I woke up to the party being raided by Longbow. Turns out it was a Hellions party and they were in a pitched battle. But a Warden showed up, and the Hellions were knocked out or scattered. Longbow scraped me up, checked me out, and decided I was a villain! Evidently the “Lady” was a vampire. No matter what I said they ignored me. They dropped me, and a lot of Hellions, off at the Zig. I was still standing in the intake area when alarms blared everywhere. An announcement said there was a jailbreak. It was chaos for about twenty minutes. Doors, blown open, fights (everyone, no one seemed to have a “side” except the guards…) I was trying to make it outside. A guard tackled me. I bit him… I was so hungry! I am not sure if he died. Probably not… As I made it outside I saw a number of prisoners getting into an Arachnos transport. The only way out I could see. I hopped in. No one even seemed to care. We arrived in Mercy pretty quick. I was asked by an Arachnos guy in white armor if I was with Arachnos or against them. I said with… He scanned me. “Interesting.” Was all he said. He mumbled something into a comm. Three Arachnos soldiers hauled me off. After a short walk into a dark dark building I was told I have Mu blood, and that I was so fortunate. Then they strapped me down and mummified me. This was painful. As they were casting a bunch of spells one of the Mu (I think the leader) said the process was not completing. They scanned me a few more times and cast spells. They decided I had no Mu blood, but had drunk the blood of someone with Mu blood. That damn guard I thought. One of the Arachnos scientists decided I could still be useful as a subject for Super Soldier Death Knights he has wanted to launch. The Mus just abandoned me to him, now uninterested. He has the guards haul me up to a different torure chamber/laboratory and starts pumping me full of strange green chemicals and casting spells. He is magically bonding armor pieces to me for most of two hours. The chemicals made me feel weird, the spells and the armor were torture. “Now for the Helm of Obedience.” The bastard laughed. He started to take off the funky helmet the Mu had put on me. That sounded all wrong. I summoned all my strength and will and tried to break myself free. When I accidentally on purpose shocked him it worked! I ran out of the room, and up an elevator. I found myself in a room with dozens of what looked like portals. I jumped through one. And ended up… I got no idea. I do not think it is Paragon though. Some party…

Looking for some guidance in a new project. This will be a semi slow leveling Tank running on a dedicated theme team with Justice Superteamers on Sunday nights. We will be starting in Praetoria, which may affect power choices/order, or not. I am completely unfamiliar with both Elec Armor and Elec melee. Thanks in advance

Update! Just finished all content through level 39. 1,174 Badges. 78,764 enemies defeated. 2.088 missions done Reward Merits = 4.572 The next section is all 25-40 and 30-40 content mostly gold stuff. there is one or more oddball missions only offered at 41-42, then on to 44 for the last big push.

Yes the game, in the basic, relies in DPS. Spoiler, every combat video game does. My “best” toon is a Fire Fire Fire Blaster. I can tank 4/8 ITFs on it. DPS wins. I play it regularly, it is not my main. My main is a Dark Dark Corruptor that is what I think my Snarky Vampire would be in game. What this game is, to me, is creating the characters in my head. Not massive DPS or “beating da game” or w/e. Badges are a fun group activity, and being helpful to the team is cool. But it is seeing my creations in game is the huge win.

Pretty sure the BAF Prisoner phase is a very special sub game. Do not conflate the Devs getting rid of ATs signature abilities with the real goal of making the (trial they inherited) work. The prisoners are on a track, and their logic is very simple. If you repelled them whole new bundles of code would need to be added. They are very specifically affected by certain things, not so much by anything else. Maybe that means the Devs hate signature abilities of ATs. Hmmm, or, possible, it means they hate all players! It is a trap, a Nemesis plot! We are doomed to fail!
