  1. Interesting. What minions and lt exp are you getting? I double checked the mob powers and they show 100% at level 50.
  2. Read up the thread. Folks have adjusted the farm mobs to not use sword attacks and still get 100% exp.
  3. A little think that I noticed when you upgrade your pets they switch to ninja running stance. A nice visual indication if you upgraded.
  4. Sounds like you understand this but, if you're procing heavily then you might not be getting full advantage of the damage modifier raise. The open question is that is still better to proc or not proc with the changes. Dual pistol of course is very proc friendly.
  5. Give them all the ranged melee defense powers and quickness. Do not take the AOE powers. Almost all spines/fire farmer damage is AOE. You might miss more with your single target attacks, but that is the comprise you have to make. That should give you enough breathing room on the fiery melee side to take out the sword attacks.
  6. What secondary were you using for the mobs? I was able to get 100% with fiery melee and super reflexes. I posted my AE ids earlier in the thread. Also, if you pop 1-2 small purples to keep you defense in the 55-65 range. You'll be able to farm even the older maps.
  7. Excellent post. I would add that Sentinel defense values are basically the same as scrappers. Except that Sentinels do almost all there damage at range, except for a few APP melee attacks, which means they are safer in most combat. Less damage than scrappers, much closer than before page 5, but more durable.
  8. I think this is wonderful change for many ATs. */Storm can skip gale Defenders can skip that weak secondary T1. Same for Dominator. More attacks at lower level also means more end usage, so it's not as straight forward as everyone will can have more attacks. If folks are worried about power creep, yes this is power creep, which you can easily compensate for by raising the difficultly.
  9. Actually no, if you adjust your mobs. You can get 100% experience mobs with fiery melee and super reflexes. You just have to avoid the sword attacks. Those are the only ones that do -defense. Farmers in existing farms with sword attacks will need to pop 1-2 purples regularly to farm at 4x8. I have updated my existing farm to not use sword attacks and the mobs are still 100% exp. Live: ID: 50968 Beta ID: 23824
  10. Leveling widows can be painful. They are squishy and end hungry. I respect Voltak's build, but it's an all ranged build which is for very hard content. You can easily make a melee Fortunata aka Blood Widow which gives you the best of both world. Solos well except in high star hard modes. Then you need to move to a fully ranged build. You can kill pretty much any even level AV with a built out Fortunata, except maybe at sub 20s. Then EBs are still very doable solo.
  11. There is no top dog, but I have solo'ed some hard stuff with my Elec/Ice/Mace blaster. 4x8 Carnies, Arachnos, Dark Astoria. I solo'ed the entire Sister Valeria arc with only two deaths in 1:15. Basically, there aren't a lot of mobs that are resistant to end drain, slows, and knockdown. Elec/Ice has all three. Slows for safer jousting, end drain, so I get more damage, and once the mobs are completely drained I can move in for heavy melee. Werewolf boss won't stop running around, ice patch. Fortunata Mistress has a nasty low hp nuke, can't fire it if they don't have any end. Etc...
  12. Tuatha de Dannan can hit like trucks, heal themselves, summon, pets, and debuff Fir Bolg are probably the easiest, melee and fire attacks. Cabal energy attack, end drain is the worse part Red caps very accurate attacks, blinding Ghosts negative energy and -tohit. I feel these are only dangers in large spawns. Tuatha are the most difficult in my opinion. Due to hitting hard, debuffing, and healing. And their missions are always the earliest.
  13. I just went through all Croatoa arcs at level, not Oro, with SOs. I used a Illusion/Nature controller. But I teamed a lot of time. Still Illusion gives you the best invis in the game and pets that can take out anything you'll run into. Plus, you have healing, buffing, and debuff.
  14. I have a Illusion/Nature controller I am ramping up that can do a lot. Control Aggro control Healing Buffing Debuffing
  15. I kind of do, still in flux at the moment. The bio could go down similar two paths. I haven't decided yet.
  16. A little more context on why I think this is a good combo. It solves mostly solves the problems I have been running into in PUGs and Hard mode. Aggro control, buffing, healing, and debuff. I can patch holes into any team.
  17. Yep, happens quite often to me.
  18. First Illusion controller in a long time. Not sure about slotting, but it worked well on the beta server. I have perma PA, but I bet the fine folks here could come up with better.
  19. Yes, but I what I am suggesting it the time need to be logged out for day job shrink for each day job you acquire.
  20. I know badging is an voluntary activity, but one of the most tedious tasks is day jobs. Most days jobs bonuses are not useful, so they are just acquired for badges. My suggestion, for each day job you acquired, it's take X% less time for the next day job. This way there is a feeling of progression and increasing momentum.
  21. It's all good. A lot of folks have had the experience of feeling useless on teams.
  22. What I do is that I always put my three active incarnate powers, Judgement, Destiny, Hybrid, in a row. Tray 2, slots 6,7,8. Then I make three binds: /bind z powexec_tray 6 2 /bind x powexec_tray 7 2 /bind c powexec_tray 8 2 That way I know if I hit z, a Judgement will fire, x Destiny, c Hybrid. Regardless of what Incarnate is active on all my toons. If you swap incarnates, you still have to drag the active incarnate to the appropriate slot.
  23. There are certain common CoX game "modes" where players often feel useless. It's a pretty common complaint, it comes up at least once a month. Speed runs, especially if you are unfamiliar or not set up for speeding. No stealth, Master minds where their pets are useless till the final battle, etc... PI Radio missions if there are a lot of 50+s on the team Personally, I try and minimize the number of speed runs, because I don't enjoy them. Though, sometimes I just want the WST merits. Lower level TFs can actually be more fun than level 50s, because there aren't several Judgement decimating spawns regularly. Yes, that's a bit of an exaggeration, but still a kernel of truth. As I said in another thread recently. I just really enjoy the combat mechanics, speeding is the opposite of that. If you're going to run speed TFs, don't expect to feel needed. Unless, you are trying to break a speed record, which is a very different activity, that requires great team work and often specialized toons. You'll feel more needed at lower levels. Lower level PUGs often need 1-2 skilled built out players to smooth things out. Even at 50, if you are carrying a team of non 50s in PI radios. You will definitely feel needed. If you want to really feel needed, there is always hard mode. ITF or Aeon.
  24. You have maxed out the number of static stacks. Each stacks allows Tesla cage to jump from one mob to another. But the range on Tesla Cage jumping is not large, so you'll rarely hit more than 3 mobs. Unless they are being grouped well.
  25. Yes! Example: /bind z powexec_tray 6 2 6 is the slot number, 2 is the tray number. I have these kinds for my three actively used incarnates. So, I can just swap out the powers in the slots as needed.
