https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrhichion Arrhichion could be a named Pankrationist with maybe a self rez or something. Maybe a long duration melee hold with a DoT and a self-immob. (Always wanted a wrestling themed melee control set back on Live)

I was just curious. Wasn't sure how involved the effect was. -
Focused Feedback: New Costume Additions & Fixes
Starhammer replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Nope, just looked. Apparently I'm misremembering. The struggle of dain bramage. That said, if you ever feel up to it, it'd be nice to get a higher res (and with stock) Remington/Mossberg/Etc model. A SPAS 12 wouldn't hurt my feelings either. In a Blackwing related matter, would it be possible, within this release's timeframe, to get their Exelsion force field effect ported to the elemental Shield model? (EDIT: I suppose the Vanguard shield would make sense too, though that might be more complex since it has literally moving parts) v This one v -
Focused Feedback: New Costume Additions & Fixes
Starhammer replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Any chance we could get the Blackwing Heavy Gauntlets without the Blackwing chrome finish and hexes added as well? Just standard finish like on IDF costumes? Also, While I love having the new shotguns and grenade launchers for AR, iirc, doesn't the [Shotgun] temporary power use a model with a buttstock? Could we get that added as well? -
Focused Feedback: Enemy Group - Freaklok
Starhammer replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
My only problem with Freaklock is they don't really stand out to me. They're a hybrid faction with a hybrid origin, but they have not yet done anything to make me see them for themselves. That's not a big deal obviously, but it's a place to do some work on them in the future I guess. -
FWIW, this will be what I likely use for my Blackwing Fire Suppressor, a Fire Truck themed power armor, "Firebreak" BTW, that Blackwing style would look real snazzy on the Tech Knight belt. I'm sure the IDF belt is fine, but it's a shame Blackwing doesn't have a belt of their own... Feel free to copy, borrow, or ignore as needed.

Thematically, I'd like to see the medics stand out even more. Something to say to civilians in an emergency "I am here to help." Obviously as a private organization, they may not actually be, but it would still be a good PR move for the company to project that image. Not necessarily flipping to full white and red, but maybe some red glowing crosses on chest and shoulder pad, something Tron-esque? Also thematically, why the weakness to Toxic damage? Game balance wise it seems neither here nor there, just something for variety, but I'd like it to make sense in the world. Finally, I know this would be a bit of extra work kinda late in the game, but I'd love to see them field a specialized Fire Suppression support unit. Fire Res bubbles, -Fire damage debuffs, and some cold/water attacks, mostly AoE... Not necessarily all over the place, but at least one in most big groups.

So now that everything has been out for a bit... Can we get a shield model that's just an attachment point for a ragdoll of the last enemy we defeated?

and now it seems nobody has anything to say 😛

hence, "would like to see" Teleport powers, as much improved as they are for tactical use with powexeclocation commands, are still cumbersome at best in my mind. I would never want to use them as a long distance travel power. yuck.
-
I too, would love to see a "flock of birds" transformation flight power. Preferably colorable, like a Bats aura, so you could be black ravens, brown hawks, or green parrots...
-
I agree, but just presume it's because when the Warriors come out on top, they don't let the Freakshow grovel, and just Sparta-Kick/despawn them and go about their business

Storm Kick (Scrapper) vs. Storm Kick (Blaster)
Starhammer replied to mispellled's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
My favorite part too. That attack is always at the core of a character's choreography if they have access to it. That said, I would very much like to see each version have access to alternate animations... as I would for most melee attacks. -
Rogue and Vigilante Organization Power Pools
Starhammer replied to Steampunkette's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Love the concept. While I never prefer seeing lore/story mandatory for a power function, I love seeing it as an option, and giving some of these groups access to themed power pools as a payout is definitely something I'd make use of. -
That's actually one of the instances I might want such an ability. Sometimes I like to practice the ski runs with no powers or only specific powers. Of course, they're usually unpopulated, so that's not really a problem. Hostile attitude aside, I can understand the OP's desire for a tool to prevent incoming buffs, whether for testing power numbers or just because I want to limit unintended visual effects on a costume. I wouldn't mind seeing a toggle power sold through START that accomplishes this. Personally I'd love to have one for each, one toggle to prevent the numbers, another to prevent the graphics. I usually have no problem with random buffs, but more often might want to not be layered in bubbles visually 😛 Beyond that however, I agree with others that this is a public game where you coexist with other people and you need to be ok with that. Other people buffing strangers isn't an assault, and if that's a point you have a problem with, there's probably more enjoyable games out there.
-
There is a small problem there. Being an altoholic is already more of an inf sink than you ever need. 6-8 million at the START vendor on every new character, maybe a billion or more by the time they're purpled out and +5'd. The people who need an inf sink probably focus more on just a few characters and wouldn't benefit significantly from Global badge access.
-
I'd say just make it a whole new set. Then you can incorporate the other animations for eyeblasts (or sonic attacks in some cases). You can either go the cut/paste route and just make it a performance twin of Beam Rifle for simplicity, or mix it up a little and tinker with numbers and damage types if you want something a little different from what else is there. A lot more work, but more justified to those who don't believe the cosmetic difference is "enough"
-
I would sacrifice (temporarily) my access to attack powers to be able to do this (Only affecting Self or whatever, like Rest).

Eliminate "sided" day job badges
Starhammer replied to BasiliskXVIII's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'm partially in favor here. First off, don't "eliminate" the badges, but just give people who qualify access to both. (I have many heroes who would rock the "Soldier" badge as well, given the opportunity, so not just day job badges). They can display what suits their character, if either. Furthermore, I would like to see access t some of these badges made available regardless of red/blue side... so put a Crey office in Paragon somewhere, allow blueside ships (and subs) to qualify for Smuggler, and longbow helicopters to qualify for Pilot (another badge many bluesiders should really have access to). Be kinda nice of other airplanes gave access to Pilot also, like on the airstrip in Cap... Does the runway in Neutropolis have planes? They could use it too. The displayed aspect of a badge is just another cosmetic piece, like a costume piece, and thereby should not be limited by faction. -
I definitely prefer the idea of Dispersion Bubble over Damping. Also, what I'd love to see for the boost range effect is a combination of passive and click, where just having it gives you a minor boost (like maybe half an IO) and then clicking it gives significant range increase for a short time (comparable to Aim for duration/cooldown)
-
While I wouldn't have a problem with this, as it adds thematic options, I would prefer for its powers not to share the exact names as comparable support powers (it would complicate some of my keybinds). That said, I think it would be easier to achieve the thematic effect by just going with another defense set, but getting Force Field visual effects made available to us as auras.
-
As long as they can do it without making it yet another chore for Null the Gull. That birdbrain is already overworked. If that had to be the case, it would be better to skip the option and just remove it.

Allow Masterminds to choose their weapons
Starhammer replied to Annapuma's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I can't wait for my characters to be able to play Guardians of Praetoria Online after it gets out of closed beta 😛
