Thanks.  Aren't the telepads free now?  But we have to unlock the beacons the old-fashioned way?

No, I believe you can place any/all of the beacons now too.

Dont forget power and control!

I did and it took me ages to work it out. I opened a large room and dropped in a large fusion reactor to get all the power and control :)

OR...create an SG/Base for personal storage and Coalition with someone's SG so you can use their porters/crafting. ;)

Also don't forget the beacons have to be in the same room as the teleporter or they won't link.

Are Beacons the same as Teleport Points?  I can't seem to find anything called Beacon in the item list.

 

I can choose anything in the Arcane Power tab to power them?

There is a search field in item placement.

 

Type "beacon" in there and you'll get them :)

Beacons are located to the far right end of the appropriate Teleport tab category, scroll all the way right using bmousewheel or dragging the items left.

Awesome, that was it.  The drag doesn't work with a touchpad, so I had to search.

Don't feel bad. I couldn't find much of what's there without the search (once someone pointed it out) that I KNEW was there.

I also have a mod that shows the names of the areas on the beacons...makes life easier for me :) I's a zip called TP Beacons Texts
