So I am lvling one of this combo and am finding it to be a blast. But I am a bit loss on how to mod out the set dp I know what to do but thats on a blaster who'll that work here as well? And with mides not having the set as of this posting I am abit stuck. Can you get the end circuit to fill your end bar up to half? And will I need to go typed or melee aoe range def ? What epic pools work well? Was thinking a set that gives a power boost but am open to any.

Electric Affinity should be there if you're running the most current version.

Have you visited here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/forum/74-forum/ in a while?

I'm not sure how you built DP on a Blaster, but you could potentially do things differently on a Corr.  Depends on just how much you like certain secondary effects or powers.  Defiance could influence a choice on some powers within a Blaster (i.e., Piercing Rounds contributing more damage bonus) that consideration doesn't exist here.

I tend to consider the following powers must haves:

Pistols

Executioner's Shot

Swap Ammo

Bullet Rain

Hail of Bullets

Everything else depends on where I see the build going.

It's a large damage increase to every power you have when using fire ammo. The extra damage DoTs increase with damage buffs and you have a higher cap as a corruptor so team damage buffs are more useful on you than a defender. It also gives you some versatility in supporting your team by switching to different ammo types. You should absolutely take it and I would also take empty clips for an extra chance to get the force feedback proc.

By pre-alpha I assume you also mean pre-50 and given the build you posted and the elec secondary I also assume will be teaming for almost everything. Given these assumptions I would do the build below. You will be at the s/l/e and ranged defense softcap as long as one other person on your team has maneuvers (everyone should have maneuvers at like lvl 14, but they don't take it...the only exception being super reflexes, everyone else should just take it). I also did not take suppressive fire and proc it out because this being a pre-50 build based on a more support roll I figured you'd rather have tactics and survivability. That being said, I still focused on a proc'd out hail of bullets and getting a bunch of FF procs. The key thing is getting your ranged and s/l defense up pre 50 without any +5s. Anyway, here it is.

this looks like it would be a great build. also has good def and res for about 10secs you will have very high damage if you start with Faraday cage then adr booster and then pop empowering circuit then hit the power build up. pre-queuing as you go then launching your chain for this set as an opener HoB-->BR-->EC--ES as a closer and then on to the st chain of DW->EC->ES-> energizing c as needed for end regain. idk if the emp circuit will brake stealth if so then swap the last 2 in the build up phase.

You might be underestimating Pistols a bit.  Pistols is better overall than Dual Wield or Empty Clips.  It has a very fast animation.  Your Executioner's Shot can recharge within 3 seconds.  This means Pistols + any power with an animation if 1.848 seconds can be used right before ES is available again.  That could be Pistols + DW, or Pistols + EC, or Pistols + Bullet Rain, etc.

A secret to really making the most out of Pistols is how it can be woven between all of these other attacks.  This makes a proc like Decimation chance for Build-Up very attractive.  The lowest possible chance to trigger that proc is 5%.  You could potentially go fishing for that proc trigger every 2-3 seconds.

You're also chasing a lot of +damage bonuses.  The build looks pretty solid, don't get me wrong, but +damage set bonuses aren't all that they are cracked up to be.  You've stacked quite a bit though which is pretty cool to see all on its own.

Here's a build I'm looking to run, haven't capped quite yet and haven't respec'd to run it, but I think I'm going for it. It's shy of the softcaps and perma hasten, but I've been playing this char as more of a support toon so I leaned in heavier on the -res.

For me, hover was a must have, and shock is nearly never used. I took @oldskool's advice and slotted Decimation build up proc on it. I'd like to hear thoughts, even though I know most of the feedback will probably be about missing the mark on def caps and perma hasten

Minimum chance is 5% plus 1.5% multiplied by the PPM rate.

So a 1 PPM will have a 6.5% minimum chance to proc.

And even if that sounds low, if you're using the power A LOT (such as every 3 seconds) then you get to take advantage of the Chuck Lots Of Dice!! method of making the proc happen more often than you would otherwise expect it to.

I exploited this to the maximum degree possible with my Ninja/Time/Mace Mastermind build by slotting the Decimation Build Up proc into Snap Shot, which has an incredibly short animation and recharge time ... so short, in fact, that I was actually able to use the minimum proc chance cap to INCREASE proc chances over time and repeated uses(!) above what they would have been if I had been slotting Decimation into any other powers.  In other words, putting the Decimation Build Up proc into a fast animating and fast recharging power like Pistols can be a HUGE advantage ... particularly if you're able to "blend" that Build Up proc with AoE attacks, where the Build Up effect will buff the damage production onto EVERY $Target that the AoEs are hitting, not just some of them like you would usually see with a damage proc.

I would rather slot Decimation in a proc'd out Suppressive Fire. Give me a 36% chance that I can fire every 8 seconds over an 8.3% chance that I fire every 3s. I'd slot an Achilles in Pistols or a Damage proc before I would use a Decimation.

I'd like to hear thoughts, even though I know most of the feedback will probably be about missing the mark on def caps and perma hasten

this looks good the only thing i would change if able to is the set on Energizing Circuit as it does no dps at all and the more targets it hits the less end that person gets.  your build is very strong and  expinsive but it will work well. mine is more set for high burst and run. using  SF and pistols to lock down the biger targets. so adding more end mods will give a biger bump as it chains.

so i added dec build up and a res debuff to pistols after reading this post and i must say i think i am going to do that. as i could almost fire it full time.  as long as the ff in EC fires with in the 10sec window i can do pistols->dw->ec or pistols -. Empty clips-> ec.

I chose Power Transfer specifically for the 7.5% recharge bonus, it's effectively another LoTG. I've been running with IOs end mods at 35 and 40 and it provides enough end for everything I've done and I'll just have it on deck more often.

I just hit 47 so I'm gonna respec and do this build will report back when I've finished and felt it out

Fairly cheap (no winter sets) tanky, ranged/s/l/e, probably hit perma hasten from 1 empty clips not much dmg tho:

After playing my build for a bit, completing and getting (most) incarnates set, I have to say I enjoy it a lot. I went with clarion for destiny to cover the gap in status protection and musculature for alpha. It plays wonderfully as both support and DPS and can jump back and forth between them nicely. I am finding I don't use piercing rounds all that much outside of soloing. I'll probably take assault hybrid to lean even heavier into the DPS side as it feels like support is really fleshed out with clarion. Permahasten isn't really missed/not really necessary and often teams will have some other support that closes that gap.

All in all worth the price imo. Still squishy but definitely harder to kill, and ultimately plays the roles I want it to play and how I want them to play.
