LuckyDuck Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 [Power:Crafted Sciroccos Dervish B.Scirocco's Dervish: Damage/Endurance.34] doesn't convert as pbaoe category, but as melee. was recently converted to a sciroccos from something completely different (from an uncommon Sleep enh, to a rare sleep category out of set, to a rare type category-quickly landing on rare damage). it was originally created (also recently) on the same character converting it.
Six-Six Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 It converts as melee AoE in category conversion, which can be rare or uncommon converting it under rarity, it will convert to any uncommon or rare My Toons

Six-Six Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 nope. melee is different, usually pertaining to Single Target Attacks. confusing, I know, but melee Area of Effect can be a radius: Position Based Area of Effect (PBAoE) or a cone. one thing that sucks, though, is when you convert within category of melee AoE, you have a chance to get Air Burst which has no category even though it's listed as Targeted AoE, and can only be converted under rarity category. Waste of a converter, but it is how it is My Toons

LuckyDuck Posted July 27, 2020 Author Posted July 27, 2020 alright but, it didn't say "melee aoe" in the conversion window. It just said melee. even if the more I think about it, I'd rather convert in set for the proc to sell, that doesn't seem right.

This is only true for Air Burst in the level 10-19 range, because there are no other Targeted AoE category enhancements in that level range. At level 20 and above Air Burst will convert within the Targeted AoE category as normal. Six-Six Posted July 27, 2020 Posted July 27, 2020 @srmalloy from the GMs. when I needed help killing the last creep on a kill all map, they advised to use a Position Based AoE instead of regular attack My Toons
LuckyDuck Posted July 28, 2020 Author Posted July 28, 2020 update on the original bug. i can't reproduce it again (a day and computer restart after). It now correctly says it's in the "melee aoe" conversion category. client side glitch?
