So since regeneration is disappointing (too clicky need tons of recharge but weak to recharge debuffs) and willpower is well willpower I kind of try to make healing based armor set without defense.

Superphysique

Tier 1 : Auto MaxHP +Regen +Special (Scaling Regen based on HP. Lower the HP higher the regen. Res to -regen

Tier 2 : Toggle Resist (All except psionics) +regen

Tier 3 : Auto: +Recovery

Tier 4 : Auto: +Regen(Unenchantable) +Res (All Dmg but psionics, terrorize,hold,stun,sleep,-regen resistance)

Tier 5 : Toggle : +Max HP. +Special. (Lower the Res higher Max HP you have)

Tier 6 : Toggle : +Heal over time. +Special. (lower the current HP higher the Heal over time.)

Tier 7 : Auto +Regen +Resistance to -regen. +Res to All but psionic(Unenchantable). (lower the Hp the higher the +Res amount)

Tier 8 : Toggle: +Regen +Special : (Taking damage while this toggle active increases regen amount for 10 seconds. +Regen bonuses can stack to 10 stacks. After 10 stacks reached consumes 10 stack to grant you moderate heal with debuff to resistance (%10). And also grants you higher regen to stacks of 5. for total of %250 regen with debuff to %50 resist)

Tier 9 : Auto. +Special . (Instead of dying normally when hp reaches 0. It instead reaches 1 and gives you invulnerable status for 5 seconds with 5 seconds of higher regen amount followed by absorb shield status for 5 seconds. This effect only occurs every 10 min. Also nerfs regen if clicking clickable version. (Alive Invulnerable 10sec -Regen 20 sec. +Movement Speed.) (Dead Revive Invulnerable 10 sec -Regen 20 sec + Movement Speed)

"pure healing based set"... Tier 2 toggle, +Res to all but Psi; tier 4 toggle, +Res to all but Psi; tier 7 auto, +Res to all but Psi. So, basically, you want a set like the original Regen, except that it has Resistance built into it so you don't have to turn to set bonuses and power pools for that.

They will be minor but yes. They are there because of tier 8 actually. Plus no reconstruction to heal you.

Apparently you don't know what "heal based" means. Resistant isn't healing. +MaxHP isn't healing. +Regen isn't healing. You have 2 powers that could qualify as healing, nether of which are active at all (in fact, nothing in the set is active or utility).

Secondly, the whole premise is faulty. You want to make a set based around a game mechanic that you didn't even put in the set with a concept that already exists (twice!).

Lastly, the over all set is bad. It's probably keel over quickly after that 5sec of invulnerability since it had nothing within the set to come back from it.

Just go willpower. If Regen isn't your cup of tea, don't take out your frustrations by making a crappier set in spite of it.

Why not just improve regen?

Which is what I would like to see, as I enjoy the set, but haven't gotten it to feel as survivable as other sets and all I feel anyone can really say to get it there, is "Take weapon sets with parry"

Well, if you can make a Defender, Blaster, Dominator, etc extremely survivable to the point of maximizing solo-ability using IOs, I have no idea why you can't do that with a Regeneration melee with even more ease.

I did imply I was talking the other melee sets, not all sets, when I said "Take weapon sets with parry"  😛

And I've continued to try.  I've just continued to find multiple ways on how not to do it.
