Apparition Posted September 20, 2020 Share Posted September 20, 2020 Ghost of Scrapyard in Sharkhead Isle needs a cooldown. He's extremely farmable at the moment. Defeat 100 picketing Scrapyarders, defeat Ghost of Scrapyard, defeat 100 picketing Scrapyarders, defeat Ghost of Scrapyard, rinse, repeat. A duo can (and has), repeatedly farmed him for 1+ reward merits per minute. A team of eight could do it at an even higher rate. You can roll generic alts, grab ninja/beast run, and zoom around atlas for damn near the same rate with less risk. No need to nerf the poor ghost. Besides, it's not as if merits are particularly valuable. I have tens of thousands parked in hero merits and nothing to spend them on. The ability to force the spawn was added because the accolade was changed from "stay in Siren's Call for five hours" to "defeat Ghost of Scrapyard" but people were having trouble getting it because he wasn't spawning often and had a tendency to wander into drones and black market kill zones when left unattended or allowed to flee. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Seen him once here. There was a theory that some people had on live that a couple of friends of mine and I have pretty much proven on Homecoming. Caleb doesn't despawn at sunrise if he was not defeated. He merely goes invisible until sunset. I.e., if you defeat 100 spectral demons while the sun is up, you may not get the message "The Demon Caleb has been seen, blah, blah, blah," at sunset because Caleb is still out there from the last time he was spawned. You just have to find him. Circle around the beaches of Thorn Isle and Primeva. Sometimes he's on the beach, sometimes he is flying up high. But he's there, somewhere. Every time I or friends of mine and I have gone around defeating more than enough spectral demons on Nerva and don't receive the spawn announcement at sunset, we go searching around Thorn Isle and Primeva. I am a red sider, so I am aware. However, Ghost of Scrapyard's pathing has mostly been fixed, and I sincerely doubt giving him a half-hour cooldown so he can spawn 48 times per day will hinder people's ability to get the badge, especially given red side's population. Tin/Pex, ITF, (well run) LGTF and a lot of other endgame TFs give about that level of merit reward/minute WITH the benefit of also getting drops and appreciable influence.
