Powers with "Crunch"... and those without

If they ever do implement visual sounds, "SCRUNCH" will be used repeatedly for Battle Axe.

"Eviscerate" from Claws has a terrible sound effect. It's a T8 power. Your character leaps into the air, performs an aerial somersault,  and delivers a two-handed slice to your opponent, dealing a great of damage, and the sound goes ... "pif". Just "pif"; a second "f" is unwarranted. It is horribly, horribly anticlimactic, especially in comparison to the lower-tier powers in the set.

War mace has been mentioned. Bane Spider mace attacks have the same crunch feel.

 

Unfortunately, like war mace I find the visual aspects weird. There is too much pausing in the animation, especially at the end.

Dominate from mind control is short and simple, but the sound effect is great. It's my favorite power in the game both in sound and looks. Unfortunately, the sound is drowned out in big fights, but you can really hear it well while soloing.

Without: Sentinels, anything.

 

Without: Dual pistols because of stupid showy animations. Shoot that damn guns already. we've already seen the gun show a dozen times. (it's only 2 or 3 of them, though; love Executioner's Shot animation).

 

 Same goes for Staff, as someone already pointed out, too much air swooshing and not enough head smacking.

 

Favorite crunch: Energy Blast's sniper attack, love when the enemy goes flopping backwards.

At least one of the Sonic sounds, when it hits the target, seems to use the same sound effect that WoW uses when certain types of objects land in your bags after looting a kill or a treasure chest. I want to say it's when you loot something like a document or letter. Not gonna re-up my WoW sub just to check, though ;P

I have to say that Atom Smasher may be the most satisfying power I have on any character right now.

 

Fire and Ice Blast both feel extremely impactful to me.

 

Gravity Control is wonderful for that "crunch" feeling.

 

Kinetics sounds very good and satisfying when using virtually any of the powers.

 

Foot Stomp and KO Blow both look and sound great. Well, KO Blow's alternate animation looks great. The default makes me think way too much of Popeye.

 

Shadow Maul's always been pretty satisfying.

I know someone else mentioned it but that big rez from dark miasma, howling twilight, is glorious on the sound fx. Heard it last night and thought of this thread.

Storm Kick and Ki Push from the blaster secondary are a nice combo crunch.

 

Crushing Uppercut from Street Justice. Same with Sweeping Cross.

 

Executioner's Shot from dual pistols.
