The best pun I ever came up with:

 

Senator Agrius Ursis of Rome, a gifted orator and descendent of the god Hermes, who angered Artemis.  Artemis turned him into a bear, and set the hunters of his city upon him, casting him as a dangerous beast and a threat to Rome.  He fled to a shrine of Hermes deep in the woods, and prayed to his deific ancestor; unable to undo Artemis' curse, Hermes chose to cast Ursis forward in time to a place where he would once again be respected for his oratory skills and not reviled for his appearance.  He emerged into Paragon City in the modern day, and after heavy culture shock, eventually became a hero.  Mind Control / Savage Assault Dominator.

Kill O'Watts is my Electric/Electric Brute.  Obviously, he's a villain.  No, that isn't his real name.

Perfect Ten was a world-class competitive gymnast in Praetoria before her athletic prowess became so great that she was required to register with Powers Division (and yes, I know that gymnastic scoring has changed and there is no such thing as a Perfect Ten anymore, but she's Praetorian and I'm headcanon-ing that it's still a thing there.  Also, she's totally suggesting that she herself is a "ten".

Flying Tigress is a Claws/SR hoverbrute.  She's a mutant tiger-girl who is a relative of an aviator from the First American Volunteer Group of the ROC Air Force in WWII, the "Flying Tigers".  I tried to add some retro aviator theme to her costume to suit.  I may ditch the scarf-cape, though, since it doesn't really look like a scarf around her neck.

On Excelsior, I just made Legendairy. Yes, it is a cow.

Bessie the Hellcow is a real, though I assume joke, super villain in the Marvel universe.  Since we don't have actual female cows in CoX, I made Angus the Hellcow on Everlasting.  (And yeah I know, "he" isn't a "cow," but I had to stick with the joke.)

I love cow names, though I currently only have one bovine character, Wholy, whom I had back on Legacy as well.

 

I did have Moosic at one point when Symphony Control came out but I wasn't diggin's the powerset at the time so I put him out to pasture. I've though up others but likely never get around to using them.
