Original LRSF to Oroborus

Recommended Posts

The Original LRSF featured Statesman and Sister Psyche in the final showdown with the Freedom Phalanx and Malaise in the 2nd to last mission with his team. It was quite an experience and there seems to be a fair bit of people who never got the chance to do it. Re-adding this into Oroborus would give people the option to experience this final showdown with all of the Freedom Phalanx again while preserving the current one that exists in the timeline. This would be similar to how the old Sister Psyche is available in the 25-29 category for heroes.

Pros -

  • Additional bit of content for Red side
  • New players getting to experience the Statesman fight
  • Veteran players getting to re-live the fight
  • Oroborus difficulty options available for the LRSF

Cons -

  • Unprepared teams dying horribly to Statesman lightning attack

This is a continuation of the last request thread, however it was spiraled out of control by moral debates involving Zeus so a fresh one is being made. Let's please not relive that.

If it is doable then absolute agreement that it should be on the ouro list 🙂

I like this. I personally think you shouldn't even get the new LRSF unless you've played through the accompanying who will die arcs, but this would be an acceptable alternative.

Pretty sure that's how MLTF was but I guess continuity is just moot.

I’d rather they just restore the LRSF and STF to their i22 states. I don’t think there’s any redeeming features of the new arcs that are worth preserving. They’ve lost the “biggest bad versus the biggest good” theme the originals had, and the last two missions of the LRSF literally have gaps in their hero lineups because of dead characters. Just put in a note that the TFs take place before Who Will Die to explain the presence of Statesman, and there’s no need to alter them any further.

Fighting Statesman with empowered enemies and debuffed players sounds dank.

Not as weird as doing it with a team with a bunch of Vigilantes, all with the Signature Summon:Tank power. Pulling out a bunch of copies of Statesman to fight Statesman...

Heh, I have done that on a MLTF.  All of my characters are Rogues.  A Scrapper on the MLTF tried to tank Lord Recluse and quickly died as a result, so I pulled out my Lord Recluse signature summon.  Recluse on Recluse action ensued.
