Making a goofy Wolverine-type but as a Tank, currently I am using Bio/Savage in Efficient stance and having a pretty good time of it though it's only level 18. Really enjoy never running out of endurance and my health bar goes up pretty fast as well. I also took a look at Willpower as it seems to put up some pretty great regeneration as well. I picked BIo as it's got the -resist aura to help out with my damage. Anyone know which set has more regen/recovery output in the higher levels?

Bio Armour does do excellent regeneration, it's a great set.

Willpower can do a lot of regeneration too, it really comes down to the flavour you want.

I kind of consider Bio Armour to be a fusion of Radiation and Willpower. It gets smashing/lethal resistance and elemental defenses like willpower and it gets radiation therapy and particle shielding like Radiation.

Yes. Stone and Electric both have some nice regeneration buffs, but neither of those sets have regeneration buffs that scale with enemies the way that Bio and Willpower do.

And Stone "minimal armor" effects are still shoulder pads and boots.

I have a hard time thinking there is another set which does more regen than WP. It is commonly referred to as a fixed version of Regen.

I would say WP/Dark Melee, but you want claws. I 'm not sure if there's a costume piece that would provide "claws" while running DM, so maybe just WP? Bio or Rad could work as well and provide some other tricks that WP doesn't. You can turn most of Bio's effects off, so they wouldn't interfere with you costume. Rad you glow and get Beta Decay as your Taunt Aura, which you can slot with Achilles Heel unique for some Def debuffing.

Forgot to mention that you can slot Theft of Essence +End proc into Radiation Therapy and pretty much keep your blue bar refilled (most of the time, sappers and other End drainers can still cause issues if encountered in large numbers, unless you build for it).

Bio would be closest in experience to the actual set Regen. If you know how to play Regen well you know you have to manage clicks. Granted Bio gets a buttload of absorb and offense so is practically cheating compared to Regen, but yeah. Rad also would be close in terms of needing to click stuff.

WP may have a lot of regeneration, but the actual set Regeneration hasn’t played like that in what, like 15 years?

Yeah, I was going to say that willpower does a lot more regeneration than Bio, but I don't actually have any bio tanks built for regeneration the way I have a willpower tank built for regeneration.

What I noticed is that, while Parasitic DNA (or whatever tier 9 is called) is active, depending on the number of enemies hit, it could be possible to out-regenerate willpower, and I didn't want to sit down and calculate Parasitic uptime and enemies hit, so I just went with softer language.

With Bio, you can get close to the cap (but you're building strictly for HP and Regen and the stars have to align just right), and even then it's only for a little while.

WP, on the other hand, has been referred to as Regen 2.0. It's fairly easy to get over 3100 HP, and a fairly high base regen. Throw in a saturated RttC, and you're healing faster than you can take damage.  I've had my WP/Staff tank in a Fire Farm, tons of mobs around me. I've gotten up, fixed a snack, smoked, bathroom break, grab a drink and come back 15 minutes later and I'm still at full health and every mob around me has used up their end beating on me.

I love both WP and Bio. I guess it depends on how "active " you wanna be. Want set and forget with absurd regen and soft capped defense to F/C/E/N.E? And some resistance? And a little DDR? Go WP.

Want decent regen with the ability to hit absurd regen #s every so often with a damage toggle, with the same soft capped #s but poor resistance and being more "clicky"? And no DDR? But a nice absorb?Go Bio.

Willpower actually replaced regen - haven't you heard?  *eyeballs regen fanatics*  😁

In all seriousness Willpower has decent resists if you build for them - awesome regen with RTTC saturation - high HP - and great endurance.  It is probably one of the best all around powersets.

Bio is the preferred set if you want your character to look like someone who runs around saving the day with giant chunks of dried poo stuck to the side of their head, and other body parts.

If, on the other hand, you don't want your character to look like Chunky Poo Man! (feel free to steal that name) then take Willpower.

Being constantly offended doesn't mean you're right, it means you're too narcissistic to tolerate opinions different than your own.

Willpower is probably closest to the set, conceptually.  Radiation offers some potent heal clicks and (if you go Rad/Rad) an attack that regenerates you if it hits.  Both are great armor sets.

I also think Rad', Elec Armour have some level of 'control' over the armour as in a 'Regen' armour set.

WP.  You don't.  It happens.  And not always for the best or for the key moments in a battle.

Even Ice armour, with a heal, HP+, end and def' modifiers have a 'regen' feel in that regard.  You get heal, +HP, end, defence.  Great set.  Plus uber Hibernate.  Which is the best heal and stamina return in the game plus you get to be indestructible.

I have tried Bio.  Good armour set.  Haven't got one to L50 yet.  But it's another to try.

For that matter - Fiery Aura with Healing Flames healing well over half your HP bar every 15 sec with high recharge - combined with decent resist values across the board except ice and then also consume for endurance management - I would put this in a category higher than regen.

Yes.  Fire armour is another which comes across very regeny and you have Consume.   Can't argue with half your HPs every 15 sec.

I've quite enjoyed playing Fire/Fire tank.  Perhaps get the Ageless Radial to tackle the 'debuffs'.  The one problem you get fighting high end mobs.  Had the same issue with my Ice Armour tank.  Slowed and the whole regen drive chain slows down.

Oh yes.  My Rad/BS tank.  Felt very regeny to me.  Great tank.  Clicks in the right place at the right time.  Absorb the alpha.  And the Tier 9 power is off the charts good.  Crepe ton of res + dam'.

I wish all Tank Tier 9s were this good.

Yeah, Rad, Bio, Ice, Fire...Elec Armour (pocket version) all have that 'click' Regen feel to it.  Regen in all but name.  Try them all.  I have.  Bar Bio.

I just rolled a Spines/Bio tank.  (See this Bio Armour for myself, I must...)

I don't really consider heals as being regen or maybe I just missed all of the players telling Emps "Thanks for the regen." Regen is debuffed by -regen. Heals can be debuffed in essence by -recharge.
