Hoping to not violate policies!

I'm an explorer, a tinkerer, a curious little monkey.  I watch Shesez on YouTube and I have my own local running copy of a CoH server build.

I once  accidentally fell out of a map and realized it was a boundary break that could be repeated (allowing you to move outside of the expected zone boundaries - above below, outside war walls, inside solid buildings).  K. Wharf has the easiest one to date - if you want to explore you just have to [message redacted], PI has one to escape the map and wander to the partial copy of Talos in the south or the giant blue box under the map.  How about that hidden Tardis on the roof of Pocket D?  I heard there was a break somewhere in a PvP zone.

What other mysteries are left behind waiting to be discovered?   Could the fabled copy of Galaxy City that you can reach from [message redacted again]?

So, I'm looking for boundary breaks that let me explore outside the maps and the conditions needed to trigger them (escape).

Again, I've got a local copy of CoH to poke around in so I won't be mooning you from the other side of a war walls.  If you know of one or more please PM me with the conditions (these can even be breaks fixed in recent patches).

Happy Exploring (but not on the live servers)!

So you come in here asking for secrets but won't spill any yourself?!  😀

Tim "Black Scorpion" Sweeney: Matt (Posi) used to say that players would find the shortest path to the rewards even if it was a completely terrible play experience that would push them away from the game...

Well, here goes me blowing my security clearance!  I'll provide 3 that are "common" hopefully to sate your interest and not give away all the secrets until you are at the cult's compo..... social group retreat center and prison.

Now!!!! For the love of Pete do not do anything that would make the devs put down their sodas and go "Well, I guess I have to drop working on this awesome new power adjustment for force field sets (ahem) and instead fix this boundary stuff because xXxNinjaKilla420xXx was a jerk and ruined it for everybody."

RWZ - go to the point where you are between the zone's giant robots outside the base and the teleportation circle.  Right in that archway area.  Push your butt against the wall.  Log out and then back in and of course, fly ready.

Kallisti Wharf: Fly up and over the war walls (ta da!).

Pocket D in the tiki room.  Right next to the door look up - there is a triangle space between the rocks you can teleport through.  Once you are out you have to navigate a maze of walls to get out proper and be able to see the blue box of time traveling physicians and fly to the mothership (which is full of Dole Whip).

A VERY interesting thing I discovered is if you ask Null the Gull to send you to a different place, like Spooky Atlas - then log out, in the character select screen your character is listed in Nova Praetoria.  Now, Spooky Atlas and the like are "static" so no functional building or mission doors, train stops, portals, or NPCs.  The zone is functional in every other way.  If there was an escape from there (or perhaps an Atlas escape that could be applied there) you might see a lot of interesting junk drawer items around Nova.

I've spend some time flying away from the central zones and never was able to find a terminal wall border or touched the moon. YMMV.

Better?  Curious?  Secretly a dev looking for things to patch because you are out of soda?

I found a hole that got me under and outside of Port Oakes a while back.  I started to fly to Mount Diable from there but turned back since I was worried being so far out of bounds would get me flagged for illegal play or something (World of Warcraft did exactly this if you were able to sneak into Mt. Hyjal prior to Cataclysm).  I posted the how-to in the Geometry Errors thread in the bug forums if you want to go and reach the demon horns yourself.

Currently playing on Indomitable as @Zork Nemesis; was a Protector native on live.

My favorite is the Pocket-D one so you can visit the gas station.   (There's a thread about it around here somewhere)

And I'm not connected with the game in anyway, but I think the only thing the HC team feels about holes in geometry is that they'd like to fix them.  I don't think they care if you're just exploring.

I swear I was hanging out at the Pocket D one evening and I saw someone fall by the window. They were only there for a moment in a full free-fall, but it felt like a real sky scraper situation. I suspect the skiing hill was somehow involved but I would never figure out how. That, or it was a staff member having a bit of fun.

Thats why ive never given out specific locations unless they were already known to some of the population.  Some zones ive only found 1 way out and i would hate for them to get plugged.  Another zone there are at least 11 ways out.  Some zones also have potential exploits involved so they probably shouldnt be shared.

I havent even written any locations down,  its all just in my head.  That also means i probably have to go back and find them again in a few zones.  Maybe its time to make a list.

I reported 2 of them.  1 got fixed and the other 'wasnt likely to be used'  even though they were the same thing in different zones.

And for bob,  heres a shot of the hamidon tentacle from up close in nova praetoria.  Its partially translucent and doesnt have collision if im remembering correctly.
