Can we add a blue-side Patron Unlock path?

I get going to pocket-d to change alignment (usually to Rogue) is easy enough.

I can also see a downside that this would reduce red side population.

Still, for my True Blue, I'm a Hero, type characters (ya i RP a bit here and there and was on Virtue back in the day) it would be nice. If we want to go full parity 4 all new Blue unlockable patron pools would be nice but that would take a lot more work.

Even a Go Undercover and trick Ghost Widow, Mako, Black Scorpion, Scirocco into revealing her power that goes to the same missions arcs just accessible blue side would work for me.

With Scirocco specifically a mission arc where you try to get him to renounce his evil ways and go good would be awesome. Similar to his red side missions.

Scirocco going hero was supposed to provide this. And his redemption arc looked interesting from the available cut scenes on YouTube. I would like Scirocco's redemption arc to be finished, both because it would provide what the OP is asking for and because I really want to play that arc.

Edit: I realize that data probably no longer exists, but I can hope.

The question is which 4 heroes.  You could basically tweak the villain patron pools to make them hero-themed.  For instance:

Scirocco would become Stateman or Synapse - still mainly electricity based, but perhaps with PPD units instead of the MU ones.

Black Scorpion could be Manticore, just switch from the Arachnos mace to a bow and arrow, with Wyvern agents instead of the Arachnos units.

Ghost Widow could be Malaise or maybe Numina, though I'm not sure which minions to use in that case - perhaps Malaise's shadow illusions.

Mako would be the most difficult, as there's really no heroic aquatic equivalent.  Maybe Woodsman, and switch out the Coralax for Tuatha de Dannan minions?

Malaise got killed a long time ago by Sister Psyche during Who Will Die, so that's a no-go. I think War Witch might be a good choice for this depending on what her powers were before she got killed. She uses magic so it probably wouldn't be too hard for her to figure out Ghost Widow's powers.

As for Mako, Riptide is the most obvious choice that comes to mind given that he is also a walking fishman.

The patrons don't necessarily need to still be alive in order for there to be powersets inspired by them, and War Witch is ice blast/fire manip, so darkness doesn't make sense for her.  I suppose they could switch the set to be psychic based instead of dark and use one of those heroes instead.  Riptide is spines/elec, so spirit sharks and such don't really fit for him.

Much as I am really into the theme and narrative idea behind this, I'd rather have any future ancillary pools expanded without tying them to any story arcs or NPCs. Proliferating the epic pools in-general is already a hefty order given just how many concepts aren't covered across the whole gamut of archetypes - having to also make additional custom sets to fit unique NPCs, along with entire story arcs just to unlock them, would be a lot more work. Not to mention likely prompting a number of forum arguments over which NPCs should or shouldn't have Blueside patron pools.

Still definitely want a Scirocco Hero arc to continue his redemption, mind, and would be happy with any arcs where Blueside characters get to team up with signature heroes in patron-esque roles - I'd just rather not have any power stuff gated behind them. That's a game design aspect that can stay back in 2006.

EDIT - Also as for the 'go undercover' suggestion... You can already do that by just pretending your character is undercover while doing the existing arcs Redside. Nobody outside of whoever you roleplay with will know or care how you choose to re-contextualize the story arc for your own character.

As from the official comic books she had ice blasts and a fire sword so i would say ice/fire blaster?

The question is also, will they want to make it the same way as the Villain Side - Bring other people with you at the last mission of the unlock storyline and they get the badge and the unlock with it?

That would kinda making them pointless if you can skip that all.

I get where you're coming from.  My perspective is that it is much easier, and therefore more likely to be implemented, if we take what already exists and just tweak it.  Having it require a mini-arc or just being available as long as you're a hero of level 35+, doesn't really matter to me...

Depending on where you set this in the timeline.

Spoiler

War Witch is "alive" again after the end of the Night Ward arcs.

If all you're after is "this pool is unlocked," then the red side arcs are fairly pointless already by that logic.

If you're after the pools and staying blueside, or seeing more content created (the patrons have two arcs, after all - I wouldn't mind a themed arc added as well) then it's more stuff to run.
