I can imagine AR debuff abilities, but I cannot imagine AR or other weapon sets as buff sets for defenders (corruptors, etc) So how would you make an assault rife, dual blades, titan weapon, etc. buff powerset for defenders? 1

Your enemies let their guards down after seeing how incompetent you are. Cone -Res Whoaoaoaoaoa! You swing your weapon in a circle, throwing yourself off balance, making yourself dizzy and causing you to fall down. Your enemies are laughing so hard that they can't see straight. PBAoE -ToHit Bad Aim: You almost manage to hit something, but your bulky weapon is so slow that your targets easily avoid it. Busy ducking your attack, they don't see the next few attacks coming their way. Cone -Def OH GOD, THERE'S BLOOD EVERYWHERE! You somehow manage to give yourself an eensy weensy, teeny tiny cut with your weapon... and promptly faint. A medic appears out of nowhere, rolls his eyes and slaps a bandage on your booboo, then performs real triage on your teammates. PBAoE Heal Wild Swings: Your gesticulations with your weapon distract the enemies so much that they're more susceptible to status effects. Targeted AoE -MezRes It's Stuck! You've lodged your weapon in the wall or ceiling or floor... or, knowing you, mid-air. While it's hanging there, glinting reprovingly, enemies trying to reach you are forced to clamber over/under/around it. Targeted AoE Slow Guys, I Think I'm Getting The Hang Of This. You most definitely aren't getting the hang of this. Your stumbling and flailing have, however, scared the crap out of your enemies... probably your teammates, too. PBAoE Fear and -ToHit I Hit Something Once! You did, and it's given you a confidence that most mere mortals will never experience. You're so happy about it that your entire team is suffused with pride at your accomplishment and determination to help you hit something again... someday... if you don't kill yourself with that thing first. PBAoE +Status Protection and +Damage 1 2 2 Get busy living... or get busy dying. That's goddamn right.

Raises enemy defense (or movement maybe, since targets are “pinned down”). yeah…that’s better as a debut. maybe gas canisters that enhance endurance or health? I have done a TON of AE work, both long form and single arc. Just search the AE mish list for my sig @cranebump. That's not a >weapon type< THIS is a >weapon type<! - Intimidation causing fear in nearby targets Now it's GLOWY! - weapon glows making it look really impressive, morale boost to owner and team protecting from fear type debuffs Bigger is Better - doubles weapon size making it really hard and slower to use...but damage is increased. Weapon Upgrade - Looks like a Rube Goldberg device afterwards but somehow is more accurate anyway ACME - Target hit by a falling anvil in addition to being successfully hit ACME PLUS - Target and adjacent mobs hit by falling anvils in AoE on top of being successfully hit 1
Player2 Posted January 28 Posted January 28 War Mace Bonk! - single target melee, used against an enemy it will inflict a Mag 2 Disorient, when used against an ally it also inflicts a Mag 2 Disorient but also removes any other mez as you knock some sense into them. Whoosh! - short range cone, removes Disorient by pushing oxygen in allies' faces. Whap! - single target melee, used against an enemy it will work as Confront (single target Taunt); when used against an ally it grants a short duration Build Up bonus. SMASH!! - single target melee High smashing damage; when used against an enemy it inflicts damage and taunts that enemy; when used against an Ally it inflicts damage and taunts that ally. Taunt - multiple target (limit 10) Taunt that is twice as effective as a Tanker's taunt. Best ally buff is to ensure the enemy isn't attacking them. Flail Wildly - PBAoE enemy -Def, -ToHit, Fear; You spin round and swing your weapon with reckless abandon causing enemies to become afraid and vulnerable. Dull Pain, MF'er!! - single target melee, Ally Only, Smashing Damage (Special) - You repeatedly strike your ally, causing a DoT effect that inflicts Extreme damage per tick for 20 seconds... this SHOULD render your ally unconscious and immune to further damage (although multiple applications can be used to protect more hearty allies). CPR... With A Mace - You strike your fallen ally in the chest with your mace in an effort to jump start their heart. This NEVER works... but it is funny to watch and you gain a small amount of influence each time it is performed (withdrawn from your target's health insurance plan). Terrorize - Ranged AoE Enemy Mag 4 Fear. The enemy has seen how crazy and downright crazed you are, so when you turn your attention to them they wet their pants in fear... literally, as this also applies the Slime aura to the affected targets. 1

(It seems I'm involved with so much at this point that I may not be able to easily retrieve access to all the notifications) Some players know that I have them on ignore and are likely to make posts knowing that is the case. But the fact that I have them on ignore won't stop some of them from bullying and harassing people, because some of them love to do it. There is a group that have banded together to target forum posters they don't like. They think that this behavior is acceptable. Ignore (in the forums) and /ignore (in-game) are tools to improve your gaming experience. Don't feel bad about using them.

I would play an beam rifle support set like this. Although the tier 1 power should be more than a minor heal. A single target heal should be significant while an AOE heal should be minor.
