Players may want to hold off on doing respecs. (as changes look to still be happening)

Separately:

Hopefully those who have had existing characters impacted by Issue 28, Page 2 have received their Respec tokens.

With additional changes one would expect additional tokens to be provided.

(..but if it was forgotten with the primary release, it is likely to be forgotten with supplemental patches or deemed unnecessary)

Or run the respec trials this week…

I enjoy the respec trials.

More likely I will just buy them as some characters will take a handful.

OK.  Everyone take a deep breath.  No need to all go insulting each other as body parts or otherwise.

While it's easy to get the ability to respec, actually doing one is a pain, at least to me and apparently Troo.

There's unlimited respecs available in this game. Nobody needs to wait on another handout, they can buy one off the auction house, run any of the six respec trials, or just accrue them as the character levels up.

No kidding.

What a shitty response. I appears you are:

1. ignoring that some folks may not like doing respecs

2. ignoring that some folks may inadvertently have to do a second respec because the are unaware changes are still happening.

3. ignoring that the first respec will consume the provided token.

Nice, we see you chumming up the moderator after posts from others have been removed.

We see you for the troll you are.

In fact, one of my least favorite things about respecs in how the powers tray gets rearranged afterward. Lucky for me, a fellow forum goer posted many years ago that if you simply log out after completing a respec (or zone or go to your base) the order for your powers will return, assuming you took the same ones (otherwise you'll get Walk, Rest, etc added in their place).

I have a few oddities that pop up with this.  For some reason, rest always gets replaced with Walk, for some reason.  Often (but not always) Sprint will get replaced with the one prestige sprint that you start out with.

What this team needs is more Defenders

Exactly, still reason to update the respec process - I'm not aware of any updates to respecs since they were added to the game in... 2005? I'm thinking they're either too complicated to change (a bit like fixing the Arena UI) or there's something else that takes over the devs time.

I want to be able to take my respec a bit further into a full retcon 🙂

/retcon: Take the character back to the a partial version of the character creation page... Origin, AT, Powersets, & Costume editor (in case you change weapons). Why would this be different from just remaking the character? You keep all your inf, badges, and temp powers. You get returned to level 1, but all your accumulated XP gets converted to Patrol XP, so while you still have to make the journey back the road is smoother. You keep all progress with contacts, and when you hit the right level range you can go back to them for content you out-leveled and make further progress, unlike just replaying a shadow of it in Ouroboros.

This way you could take a well loved character, maybe a long time badge collector, and update to a more appropriate (or brand new) AT or Powerset without having to abandon all of the hard work you already put into them.

Nice, agree with the moderator after posts from others have been trimmed.

We see you for the troll you are.

1) What does that have to do with tokens or respec availability? Think we are good on this bullet point.

2) Are you really fine-tuning your Radiation Therapy frankenslotting that hard?

3) If not then where’s the problem?

4) Were you having trouble affording a respec recipe on someone? Not only are these respecs plentiful as can be, but also I wouldn’t be surprised if someone here would help you buy one in the exceedingly rare event that you actually need the help.

You do not have to logout. Just travel to another zone.

You missed the trimmed posts maybe. I guess without context... I'll reread and edit if needed.

If they hand out freespecs, I will use them. If not, I will survive.

A heads up about a possible incoming patch / further tweak is a PSA and always appreciated.
