Sister Psyche & Penelope are III.   (Yin replaced Sister Psyche, but the TF is still available via flashback)

I think OP is saying that they don't do those TFs, either because they don't like them or possibly because they find it difficult to find a group interested in doing them.

Ways to make Synapse Task Force better:

- Use the Base Empowerment buffs to give yourself End Drain Resistance and +Recovery. Tell the whole team to do this. TAXI-4000 has base buffs in Everlasting, not sure what the best public bases are on other servers.

- Everyone grab Plasmatic Taser and Grenade from the START vendor, as many stacks as you can hold. The worst Synapses I've run have been due to lack of AoE damage for all those Defeat-Alls. Single target-punching out Gears sucks.

- Run it on the week when it's the Weekly task force. Its length becomes an advantage then, with the big double merits bonus.

Guess it would depend on which server.

I see Synapse runs almost daily on Excelsior.

They could form there own team.

 

Of course the speculation could be put to rest, if the Op had actually have some context.

If you skip Babbage, and grab the temp power envenomed dagger, Synapse is solo-able with just about any AT that can survive the damage from the clockwork king. He's a bit of a push over at that level, as he doesn't have his psionic powers yet (I don't think anyway).

 

The defeat alls do take awhile, but it is entirely possible to do them alone now.

I should have elaborated. I really just don't like Synapse. As much as I loathe running the entire Tina Mac arc just to get to Anti-Matter for the accolade, I despise Synapse an infinitely more amount. Those initial defeat all missions just crush my soul. I think part of it is I just don't want to do it, but I have to, because 5% Max HP. 

 

I know I know, I should go see the pigeon and become a bad guy and get Invader. But I'm a weirdo on Everlasting who tries to stay in character. 

 

Posi 1 and Posi 2 and Sister Psyche are so much fun. Synapse suck so bad. At least with Citadel, Manticore, and Numina you have enough powers to just crush everything quickly.

I duo'd the best Synapse ever last night!  I was a Rad/Mace Tank, buddy was a Fire/Sonic Blaster, neither of us have any KB/KD so I just balled em up and he burned them down. We ran at +2x8 and got ourselves a mountain of xp! I think we got 5 or 6 levels and it was a breeze. I usually avoid Synapse because it's so tedious but we had the secrete sauce last night! Great run!

You're not alone. 
On the rare occasions I choose to solo it: 

I do the first three missions, then log off and pick up the tf the next day. I just pretend the first three never happened. They're completely "busy work". Some lore lovers will maintain that it's part of the story, but it's really not adding anything worth reading into that story - unless mental exhaustion on the part of the player is part of that story.

I hate running  the Posi TF'S. 26 merits for about an hour  investment  vs  64 merits for almost the same amount of time invested running the Synapse TF.

Midnighters Club has a base buff creator now as well if anyone needs that.

Just did it tonight. One and a half hours of frustration. 

 

Wasn't helpful that someone decided it was their job to fly ahead of the tank with aoe immob on auto click.

Synapse is not my particular favorite TF either and I would agree, the first set of defeat all missions could use some pairing down. 

 

With that said, I invite you to transfer your character over to Torchbearer and join us for a run on the Saturday Night Synapse (SNS) League.  The wonderful @Kalikamata hosts this event every week and it is Saturday evenings starting at 8:00 PM EST.  There is usually two leagues (sometimes a third) running it at the same time, and we coordinate all teams to spawn and gather all of the Babbages to fight them at once.  So far, the record is 37 Babbages! You can transfer back to Everlasting once the TF is over.  

Quite a fun event with some friendly people.  There is usually a Kronos Titan or five before the SNS league starts.  It does make a very boring TF a much more fun time when running it with good people.

Synapse has never been the best TF around and in an age where entitlement brings a requirement for instant gratification it's more symptom than cause.

 

People don't want to do the work to get the rewards and there's the fundamental issue. 

 

90 minutes. That's all it's realistically gonna take to get that badge. When people are willing to play for two or three hours in a session that's peanuts. Do it when it's the WST and you can get about 6 in a week if you really need to. If you're a badge completist that's a very small price to pay. If you're not into badges or this particular TF, then don't do it, problem solved.

 

There is an attitude that's quite prevalent in this game: Give me all the things but don't make me work for them. It comes from a small, lazy but very vocal segement of the community and it annoys the hell out of me. 

 

TL;DR - We have our game against all the odds and a little bit of effort to get something you want should never be a cause for complaint.

I enjoy this, because layers of irony build up pretty quickly. We can easily get a triple decker if I complain about you complaining about people who complain. Now if you respond to my complaint we can get it up to four. How high can we go?!
