Darkir Posted April 22, 2021 Author Posted April 22, 2021 (edited) (old version and post here when RoP was still usable, new ideas in first post) My old Kintank builds had a problem, I keep getting hit by pure damage type ranged attacks. This could not stand ladies and gentlemen, how could I be a Kintank if I kept getting hit from accross the room? Forcing me to heal myself more often than I'd like (healing is lame guys, I want to pew pew). I set out to rectify this situation. This is the newest build and now we have damn near softcapped ranged and fully capped s/l defense. This essentially makes us softcapped to 90-95% of all the attacks in the game because almost all melee attacks have an s/l component and most AoE attacks have a ranged/melee/s/l component. We still get good resistances and mez protection from rune of protection, but now even less attacks get to even hit us in the first place. With two siphon speeds up we have perma hasten. We also are at the acc cap to +3s and our repel still provides knockdown mitigation while proccing the +100% FF recharge IO. This build is capable of handling almost all content solo at +4x8. Dark Astoria at +4x8 is a little more difficult because you need to use some purples, but it is very doable. If you want to solo +4 AVs then you'll want at least aim, if not siphon power also. Once you have fulcrum shift, siphon power becomes useless outside of AV/GM fights, so I don't take it. Oh, and yes you can get more ST dps on hard targets with flares over fireblast. I take fireblast because I pretty much exclusively use fireblast/flares to kill runners when scourging is very likely and with fireblast I only have to cast it to kill +4 things most of time, but with flares I need it and something else. Oh! And of course we are at the movement speed cap with sprint+ninja run+siphon speed so I do not find that super speed is necessary. In comparison to the previous build we lose some resistance, but gain the ranged softcap and get 10% more recharge to boot. I built that build on the test server and did some runs with repel turned off. It went ok. But try it out on the test server. With the new mids build exporter it's easy to build. It creates a popmenu to create all of the IO's 1 Baseline MM Henchmen Defenses and Resist Values MM - Beast Pets - Pet Attack usage and some quick proc testing

I'm bouncing around a couple of different ideas for my last 3 powers and looking for feedback. Combat Teleport/Teleport Target/Fold Space. Both Combat Teleport and Fold Space seem like they would work well with Fulcrum Shift, but curious how they work in practice. Has anybody actually done this? Is it worth 3 power picks? Web Envelope/Focused Accuracy/Summon Disruptor. Largely went Mace for the defense shield. Are the other powers any good? Other than keeping stuff in Ice Storm, is there a need for an AoE immobilize? Is the pet any good? Don't really need another ST hold. Maneuvers/Tactics/Combat Teleport. The fallback safe picks. Uuniverse

Crazy amounts of knockdown and recharge, but you must use ageless to keep it running and even then when you are surrounded you may need to use transference.
