Elec/Dev Blaster

5 Minutes 5 Seconds  -  305 Seconds  -  253.55 DPS

Charged Bolts, Toxic Dart, Zapp, Taser
Adrenal Booster, Melt Armor, Gun Drone, Voltiac Sentient, Charge Up
Incarnates
Alpha - Musculature Total Radial Revamp - Lvl 3
Destiny - Clarion Partial Core - Lvl 3
Interface - Reactive Total Radial - Lvl 3
Hybrid - Assault Total Core - Lvl 3

1 Medium Heal, 2 Medium defenses.

Was hoping for better performance from a blaster, but they need a lot of their slotting aimed at defense rather than offense in order to fight a pylon.  Build is general purpose though, so not built specifically for single targets.  My Elec/Fire blaster posts about the same times.

On a new rig with (I think) lower latency to the server and definitely at faster connection, I'm getting 1.14-1.17 generally now.  Chain is BF-AS-SS-AS with a Snipe thrown in every time it is up in place of AS before SS.   I think that's 625-640 dps if the formula/math is right?  Not the best performance on here for scraps but not to bad w/o Bio secondary I suppose.

Extremely good time for non-EM or non-Bio from what I’ve seen. Fastest I’ve ever managed for sure. BTW when I did 1:14 on Ill/Cold that came out to 646 DPS. So that’s where you’re at.

Stone Armor is right there at helping boost DPS with Bio. It's really good stuff in that regard. Set just needs a taunt aura IMO. Obviously. DB is amazing stuff for raw DPS too.. Honestly, the time isn't surprising at all. I personally would invest more time in the secondary but OMG I can't stand not having a taunt aura.

Elec/Bio Sentinel. Full T4, no clickies used (including Recovery Serums), no -res. 100% ranged.

- 3:37, no nuke used. Pylon endurance about half.

- 2:57, nuke used. Obvious improvement with the endurance of the pylon tanked half way through it allowing the Shocked mechanic to work at full power.

- 2:56, nuke used until pylon's endurance was tanked and then no longer using it to not go through the uber slow 4 second animation. No discernible difference.

Build and thoughts over here.

Nuke as the one in the build? Sounds like its not a temp 😛

Been on a hiatus but I did a few runs tonight on stj/stone. Overall quite a competitive time it puts out, one thing I observed is just how strong the double hit is for this combo.

Generally 1:30s for hybrid off, 1:15s with hybrid on.

Funny you should say that when the Assault line seems to do so little. Even as you praise it diminished the time in 15 seconds, or a couple whiffs off not making a difference. Especially on short fights where it was in effect for the duration, not even 3-4 minutes duration where the cooldown period would dilute the gains.

But this is unrelated to the build or the test, kudos on a good time and not even using Bio o/

I just like assault T4 for the passive 10% damage boost. That's pretty darn nice. Stack that with Assault from the Leadership pool and you have an extra 20% damage at all times. The passive boost is perma. The toggle isn't. I like perma. Mmmm...

Claws/Bio - 1:14

Man, there are a lot of different ways to use claws. Please share your most optimal chain, it's hard to pick! This combo is a ton of fun and probably my #1 choice for a general purpose scrapper build

In the video I was using FU>Slash>Moonbeam>Focus>FU>Slash>Focus>Swipe

I also got a 1:16 run using FU>Slash>Eviscerate>FU>Slash>Moonbeam>Focus

I replaced Strike with Shockwave and got the same average. Both attacks do similar DPA and have a similar cast time and Shockwave is more versatile. Don't think I could go back.

How does everyone feel about the use of enflame on pylon times?

Anyway, here are some pylon times with claws/bio - on some extremely unrealistic builds and with the intent of purely pushing the boundary out of curiosity.

No rule against enflame that I know of. 55 sec on claws/bio is insane.

Guess my old build has definitely gone the way of the dodo. Just got 1:45 with my claws/bio scrapper with hybrid running followup, focus, slash, repeat. But it's not clean. Needs more recharge.

Adding in attacks like moonbeam and shockwave will allow for increased proc usage and thus better DPS but I still won't let myself do it. Too stuck in my ways.

Yeah I can feel you there, sometimes it's worth to not always lean into some of those options and just keep it to the experience you prefer. And I wouldn't be too wary about your build vs the one I just used, this one can't even be used outside of this controlled environment without heavy abuse of inspirations and temp powers. I'm a bit curious to what a more tamed back approach build would look like, and unfortunately I'm not certain if enflame could ever make the cut vs boxing/tough/weave. Nice to see it shine here though.

How does everyone feel about the use of enflame on pylon times?

Anyway, here are some pylon times with claws/bio - on some extremely unrealistic builds and with the intent of purely pushing the boundary out of curiosity.

Don't see any reason to be against Enflame. You took advantage of the +dmg, just looks like a creative way to shave a few seconds! (i think endurance management can be ignored for pylon tests. recovery serum, amps, etc. others may disagree)

But anyway, this is bananas.

Claws/Bio the new TW/Bio for now!

Here's a couple more tests. I've been leaving hybrid on recently because I think it's interesting how different sets benefit from core vs. radial.

MA/BIO  - 1:06

* I'm a HUGE fan of Eagle's Claw. Though I ditched it here for something faster in animation times. I might try another test soon with EC equipped.

SPINES/BIO - 1:28

* It took a ton of tinkering in mids to get a decent time with Spines. The redraw is absolutely brutal. I got the most success with using Weaken Resolve as a filler.

Lots of tests this week, here's a surprising one:

STJ/FA Stalker - 1:02

Stalker Burn is so good against a pylon.. Shame it makes enemies run in regular content. Also got under 1:10 with MA/FA and EM/FA

Can you share you build?  I didn't think MA really could get single-target that high.  That said, maybe it's with giving up any material AOE as a trade off.  I'd like to see your slotting and your chain for the MA attacks.  Thanks!

Yeah this build is ST focused. Though you could make some easy changes to keep high ST damage and bring in some AoE:
- Swap Thunder Kick for Dragon's Tail

- Swap Moobeam for Zapp and Soul Storm for Ball Lightning

The chains I alternated were:

Cross Punch>Crippling Axe Kick>Moonbeam>Storm Kick

Cross Punch>Crippling Axe Kick>Thunder Kick>Storm Kick

Here's the build:

This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.2.17

Sorry guys, new to this type of "fun" in game. What purpose does this serve? Is this just a "I got a higher number than you" or is there actually a good reason for engaging in this activity? Not judging just curious.

It's a powerset/AT comparison tool. It also gives a good idea on how well one can chew through hard targets like AVs and GMs. If you don't spend much time soloing, it's probably not all that useful to ya.

Ok but if you're using it to compare AT/power sets, does it remove bonuses from any enhancements? The same AT with the same power will obviously get different numbers if they have an SO vs IO and so on. I would think you want real numbers from the raw skill and AT, not some artificially inflated number based on a $20M enhancement you bought for instance
