Murcielago Dark/Shield Build

So once again I'm back optimizing my build starting from scratch! My last Dark/Shield Scrapper Murcielago was amazing and hopefully in a few years I'll have him back to that level.

Hey Striker! I'm so happy to be back, I was screaming like a teenager when I saw the announcement haha.

Have you figured out a way to pick up all those IO's?  I miss having billions sitting around.

Merit rewards are going to be the only way right now, unless the devs decide to raise the drop rate. It's going to take a long time, years, before I can get to this point but that's all the fun.

Also updated build with alpha level incarnate. I forgot how much easier min/maxing is with incarnates.

I think the best ways to get Reward Merits are speed runs of STF or a Rikti Mothership Raid Day. Get 4+ dedicated teams in zone, conquer and repeat. Trade in Vanguard Merits for Reward Merits. I recall one raid used to net around 700-1000 V-merits which can be traded in for 70-100 R-merits.

I need to start teaming more lol. I've been soloing a bunch just reading the lore for all of the missions. I forgot how good some of these writers were.

Still trying to get to the softcap using mostly common IOs but I don't know if I can do it without taking Stealth and I loathe that power.

Is this a good build for soloing? Shield has some powers that seem to work much better on teams.

The end game build is good for high and low level teaming as well as soloing. It is basically a one man band. The el cheap-o build is meh at soloing and good at teaming.

Here is a soft capped w/o agility DM/SD/Pyre.  2 seconds off perma hasten with agility alpha.  Both -Res procs to really up your damage.

Looking at your builds I think you may not be familiar with the proc changes and how they operate now on the PPM system.  You can read up on them here : https://paragonwiki.com/wiki/Procs_Per_Minute

The TL:DR is powers with longer (slotted) recharge + activation cycles have much higher proc rate as high as 90% where as powers with very short recharge times with short activation have very low proc rates (as low as 20% I think).  I.e. Smite bad for procs, MG good now.

As for IO's once you get a good farm toon (spines/Fire) it becomes very easy to max out / IO builds and just generate influence/resources in general. There are all kinds of new shortcuts to generate rare stuff by simply AE farming (emp merits, ATO packs, raw influence gain with xp off, etc).  I think it took me 4 days since starting up to get a PVP IO / Purpled out / +5 / Catalyzed / Accolades / etc blaster for PvP.

Affirmative, adding to that Against All Odds for a whole lot of +DMG. Between SD and AAO you'll be able to steamroll most +4x8 groups. The only weakness /Shield has vs SR is it's defense debuff protection being lower but it makes up for a lot more offense.

You had a full purpled/pvp build in four days??? O.o

Hmm  Dark Melee is haaard to get away from.  Im running it on my invuln tank (DM buzzsaw, eschew AOE) and it seems attractive here on a shield scrapper for the same reasons.

I run a Mac and I can't get Mids working yet. I can't look at your build.

How do you pump out enough AoE to take on 4x8?
