  1. Not yet, but I also haven't played one of their games in ages, so I may have been lost in a previous database purge.
  2. I'm assuming you've checked this since you Have Test, but did you check the gear / settings to make sure that the other servers aren't hidden?
  3. Nothing should be gone unless you had alts in the beta server as that gets reset periodically IIRC. While you may have forgotten the account name, there's a chance that you may still use the associated Email address. I'd start looking there (old emails) to see which one it might be as once you have That (give or take a forum pwd reset, then you'll be able to reset the associated Game account password as well.
  4. I'm sure someone will chime in later with details, but each server has a subforum and within that are threads for this
  5. Hence the spaghetti code issue that's plagued the game the whole time. IDK how game engines work, coding wise, but I imagine that one who does understand it would say that the assets would have to be made compatible with the databases and so forth.
  6. Isn't that how that function works though? In order to grab the badges (for example) it had to literally print it to a certain tab (or maybe it just read that tab?).
  7. Check ALL of your email accounts you may use. I use one account for the main and another on a different service (same name) for my alt account, so something as simple as Yahoo vs Google could be it. Keep in mind that some people did silly stuff like use throwaway email accounts or that Apple fake email thing too.
  8. That's a Mac issue, I'd check on the health of the drive itself (Disk Utility) and change your Apple ID password on the Off chance that someone is messing with you.
  9. So I guess I completed one version of Starfield over the weekend. On the one hand, I'm super glad I did all those side-quests before putting in too much time into the main / faction quests, but on the other hand, now that I see what the NG+ is about, it almost makes all of my efforts feel like they were a waste and that the game could Easily be a fraction of its time investment had I skipped everything, but the main quest. I think this is pretty close to how I felt about NMS's initial ending path as it's basically the same IIRC. I'm pretty sure everything in-between has changed for That game though. So I suppose that one might rank the game as-is around a 6.5 ~ 7, but there are definitely some goodies hidden everywhere if you've got the patience to explore. I wish we could mark things in our inventory as "don't scrap / sell" because of a collectable type or two that I later wanted to keep. Spoilers: NG+ is basically a new game with some mild dialog changes (to reflect what happens), all your gear is gone (because of the nature of the ending), and everything you've built no longer exists (for the reason to be explained). All that makes sense with the ending, but it's rather annoying to start over on everything 'materialistic'. Your character stats do transfer (of course), so for those looking to max things out, then the bonuses from redoing missions will help speed that up. I have SS's, but haven't gotten around to loading them.
  10. It sounds harsh, but yeah, this is what it boils down to. Hell, even on Live I ended up going the route of names based on the Bios / Backgrounds, so I ended up with several different languages in my list. I'm not an artist of any means, but you've gotta be creative in MMOs.
  11. Check out the Mac Guide below as it should be able to get you through it.
  12. The simplest / cheapest way to do that would be to have it hosted on a website (as opposed to offline app) and at least one person has dabbled (to a limited extent) with that AFAIK. It's around here somewhere, but IDK how they went about doing it.
  13. Just to have it said. Make sure you're differentiating between the Forum login and the Game login when dealing with passwords.

If that's Really old, then I better start bringing a broom with me everywhere. >.<
  15. *pokes @GM Tock* Heh, so Apparently I already Had made an update, but it was as a comment update. I've not fully committed to rewriting them, but the basic MacOS guide has been modified. Ideally, I'd rewrite (or just write a new one) the MacOS guide into a master version, but I don't seem to be in the mood for that right now.

My mental response to my own post: >.<
  17. That one's tricky due to being on an unofficially supported OS. I'm sure someone with actual info will chime in later, but I suspect that this may be the limitation.
  18. I need to make a variant for the Settings app switch made in Ventura though since that seems to be a hickup.
  19. Short version is look in the system preferences / settings app under security as there's an approval to be made. The guides below should give a decent enough follow for the issue as it's part of the steps. Just need to make an updated section for the new Settings app.
  20. That's a decent work-around, but it sounds like some level of system protection is acting up. I know that on a fresh OS install (even without the added AV) it will always seem to want to block the initial launch of the app. The fact that there's no shortcut being created makes me wonder if the installer is still in a protected folder and it itself is being blocked by the security. I'd try dragging the installer to some random folder like C:\Temp (or wherever you have a manual temp folder / if you do), flag that file / folder as safe and Then install to something like C:\Games\Homecoming (or wherever you are putting it that's NOT in the user folder or other system protected folder). I'm kinda wondering if I started this 'default' as that's how "I" organize things and I'm pretty sure that's my personal example in the guides I made?! 😛
  21. I'd have to look, but I'm pretty sure I put visuals in my "pre-Settings App" guide. I guess I need to update for that sometime.
  22. My alt account is mostly for SG management. I literally have alts called recruiters for said SGs. Having an alt account Also makes it easier to transfer stuff n such, but I know some people use the in-game email thing.
  23. That's what happens when you breath the red dust 😛
