  1. I have done one respec for the new changes (my Widow) and have maybe seven characters that I'll respec at some point, but I have a few that could be improved by some of the changes over the years, but just haven't.
  2. Huh. Cause I remember being annoyed at my self for not getting any XP because I forgot to get to level 2 first. In any case, not important. It scaled from OK XP at low levels, to insignificant. I did put together a chart with the Patrol XP from last night.   3. It's been working like that for years. S.T.A.R.T. vendors outside of Pocket D and a couple other locations won't talk to you. On the original post, hilarious, but no. If you were on a team and one of your teammates opened a door, getting suddenly dropped to level 1 from one of those AE farm missions would be very bad.
  4. It varied based on level. 1000 or so at 50, much less at lower levels. (50 at base level 2?)
  5. Also a chance, it is on their home computer. I used to have a stack of those installs. Come to think of it, my first CoH system ran a release like that since I was still getting those.
  6. There are a couple areas where that's not bad. Sometimes, they're on one char, and see that there's a role to fill with a char they'd prefer. Sometimes they feel they'll be overshadowed by some of the others. No one answer on that one. There's definitely some selection going on with HC modes since some of it is figuring out how. Not as much wiggle room on that 4 star K'ong fight if you want a squeaky toy.
  7. The Experience Requirements is not out of date. "Experience Rewards Table" and "Experience Distribution and Team Bonuses" should probably be checked for accuracy.

  9. Ok, ran thru a character on beta: Nothing needs to be modified to the XP on the chart on the wiki, though probably adding that it's 5,608,000 xp for each Vet Level.   10. On experience per level, that wouldn't be hard to check on beta since you can use the grant level to a char. I can't right now, but it would be fast to knockout to check. And I can double check patrol XP per exploration badge while I do that On how much per, that will take more delving.
  11. Oddly, I seem to be rejected on ITFs. Once for a sentinel, once for not having set bonuses on my blaster. (Was generic IO'd, but with incarnates filled out) However, that is twice in many years. Oh, back in 2005, my Kinetic Def got rejected because I wasn't an Empathy. 😉 So three times!
  12. Looking around, looks like emulators have it. Just tried out Aces of the Pacific, and yep, that was the game I played too much of.
  13. I don't think the Picture Book game has any connection to the video game. I played both. Though there was a WWII PC game that I preferred, I think it was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aces_of_the_Pacific And yes, there's another update to the picture book version on KS. And there were a few different versions in the past including a Dragonriders of Pern style.
  14. A XP Booster and Patrol XP are additive. So running 2x XP, plus Patrol would give you +150% (ie, 2.5x) If you're on a server with double XP, then 3.5.
  15. Yes, they're the same. I did find slightly different mob compositions, but all the portals act like that.

  17. I settled on Seismic/Nature, but MC is a great blaster secondary. And same thing about Ki Push that Frozen Burn says. On the seismic side, I did put a KB->KD in Upthrust, but Meteor is slotted for extra. On teams, I use it as a finisher if the mobs are high level and I don't want to scatter, but can work as an opener since I drop the meteor, snipe the boss, and they hit simultaneously. And minions tend to melt.
  18. I was thinking about this a little. Ok, for TO, DO, SO. Right now, an enhancement costs 3.8 times what they sell for. So, if we dropped the cost to be just a little more than what they vendor for, it would have zero effect on veterans, but would help newbies. Honestly, I'd be curious if 1.1 times would work. (Just to keep a little going to the RNG slush fund)

    Regen Brute

    WP is very good and when surrounded by enemies, you get up to regen rates higher than Regen. (Similar with Bio) Regen still plays different and can be a fun diversion.
  20. I'm sure it's something the devs would love to address and it probably is a database issue with how items are stored. For cleaner storage, I'd love to see: All type storage accessible at once. Each bucket can be labeled and have different permissions. When you click on a type, it shows what you have permissions for. Sorting by type, label, and sub-types. Click on a storage item: Inspiration Storage Label Name Type Strength Permission Enhancement Storage Label Name Type Level Rarity Permission Salvage Storage Label Name Arcane or Tech? Rarity Permission Recipe Storage Label Name Type Level Rarity Permission Permissions would be set on the storage bit, and probably have a visible flag if people without permission to take from there would have the ability to see. And allow more than one person to access. This is all just thinking, I believe it would take a redesign of a few areas of the game, hence why we're stuck at 18 storage items, but sometimes it's nice to theory craft
  21. I've been a Linux user since the 90s, and Unix for a decade before. I wound dual booting for CoH back in the day. When HC launched I had a Windows 7 laptop that ran the 64 bit fine. (The laptop sucked, but I didn't feel like fussing with wine right then) Now I run purely Linux. Glad to see the clarification that it was XP, not 95, though marginally better... I remember in 2000 when McAfee didn't test their release against '98 because NT was close enough, and then crashed every single 98 system on bootup when that was released. Memory protection sucked.
  22. My guess, Scrapyard, and he was talking about the first patch, so pre-fix. The drop rate does seem low, but I don't have near the number to be statistically certain. (And I need to figure out how to toss my stats delve into my log to throw out beta results)

  24. 1) Did it last night thinking it would end today, but the contacts are still there 2) Next week maybe since I think those are keyed to the Tuesday maintenance? But I don't actually know
