Depends. Are you counting the holiday event badges? Exploration: 2 Day job: 5 Spring event: 7 (if I'm counting correctly on the wiki) Chalet ski/ramp runs: 6 Candy keeper: 8 (which I believe also duplicate ones from the winter event?) Probably missing some.

Called it. 🙂 (Mostly from experience, and because I know full well it has to be like that for that exact reason.) Seriously though - for all the questions about "Is this ok," before you ask, ask yourself "Can it reasonably be called disruptive?" The raid zone thing has been long since established. Event criers I don't think have ever been an issue (short of a new one, say, spamming chat in multiple channels every minute, and I can't think of any instances of that.) If you (say) somehow went AFK in a way that blocked a portal, expect to be moved (for instance.) "AFK Farming" in AE? It's in AE, nobody sees it except people in the AE, and so forth.

Please add Global Name as a column in the Super Group roster

It'd be a good replacement for Prestige. Though, being a "change something in the UI," not sure how easy it'd be. -
Ghost Touch badge - Kill 20 Unseelie Ghosts. ---- How?
Greycat replied to MikeSol's topic in General Discussion
... *looks at the hotel leagues* I don't know about "more difficult" there... 🙂 -
I think you're going to get a vague answer to a lot of that (it's one of those "we have lines, but hesitate to say what they are because people will go RIGHT up to the edge of them" things that are just headaches for gms.) What you're describing probably won't be an issue. They're listing raid zones and during events. Given when the Prismatics were introduced, there were people hovering AFK in front of the hotel with a MM (and other people complaining about it,) they're probably talking about that sort of thing.

It's mostly been an issue with raid zones (though, given last year's halloween complaints of AFK hotel-farming, they're probably extending it to that.) If you're just chilling in a mission soaking damage for a badge, I don't think they'll care (unless there's a really extreme server load issue.) Edit: Also preparing for waves of "Name release went live! Broken, still didn't get the name I wanted!"

Bringing incarnate abilities from T1 to T4 less cumbersom
Greycat replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
... well, in fairness to the OP, the only thing going "faster" would be crafting with one click instead of 4-6 or so to make each tier. The materials still take time to collect. Plus, @Uun has a point - the OP's talking solely about using Empyrians, which isn't particularly cost or materials effective. -
Bringing incarnate abilities from T1 to T4 less cumbersom

I'm ... "eh" on it? I mean, I've got enough characters with piles of emps and threads (and even shards) I don't even pay attention to. On the one hand, sure, probably a decent shortcut (especially when making the other T3 to make a T4,) though that doesn't really take a lot of time. On the other... only real tangible downside I could think of is support requests when someone accidentally makes something, especially high tier, they didn't actually want to. *shrug* -
Has nothing to do with looks. It's just the badge name. (It's not even the badge *count,* just the name is different.) And as mentioned, you can't swap to a Praetorian alignment. Null only does the Hero - > Vig -> Villain -> Rogue loop. (I don't know right offhand if you keep it after you go hero/villain and exit Praetoria, come to think of it, or if it swaps to Immortal.)
-
If I'm targeting through another player, there's a reason for it. If I'm using a life drain, I probably need it.

Kheldians don't exist in Praetoria. Neither do VEATs. The Epic ATs are specifically designed with certain restrictions in mind because of being tied to a bit of lore (the "epic" being a reference to this - such as "epic of Gilgamesh" being their story,) including where you can start (you can't start a VEAT heroside, you can't start a Kheld redside. Yes, you can create one and switch sides at Null at level 1, but Null's kind of a hack job around it.)

Replace the Cottage Rule with the Duplex Rule

Just noticed this and had to point out Electrical Melee - Chain Induction. -
Man, that'd be way too OP. Next thing you know, Shortguy's going to start a thread asking for them to be nerfed. 😉 (Seriously... hadn't noticed they weren't, but yeah. Fairly useful costume piece overall.)

Bring back Galaxy City as a Hazard zone
Greycat replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I may be misremembering which was which in those plans as well, honestly. -
No. Sure, some people will get their undies in a twist at it or at something they don't like, but that's generally just rudeness on *their* part, not the other player's. And I don't see anything in this game changing that dramatically as a general rule.

Bring back Galaxy City as a Hazard zone
Greycat replied to DrRocket's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
... are you thinking of the Hollows? I know Perez is often skipped, other than "kill Circle" and Kraken hunts, in no small part thanks to the annoying maze. The Hollows, though, was going to be revamped. A section of Orenbanga was going to be raised - so yeah, the zone geometry would change - *but* the high level stuff would be in the "floating" bit of the city - essentially another zone above the lowbie zone. I wouldn't expect to have that happen here, though. That's a *lot* of work, and I'm not sure the team has the map/programming tools to make it happen even if they wanted to. -
Have Incarnate abilities equipped be specific to each build slot.
Greycat replied to Mystoc's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Not against the idea at all, as it makes sense. I'm just not sure how fiddly it would be to do. (This is one of those "Kind of hope a dev answers who sees how Incarnate powers are considered vs. primary/secondary because a peek behind the curtain would be interesting.") At the very least, if it can't be done as part of a build switch, a save/load slash command like we have for costumes - which might be more flexible - would be handy, and maybe usable between builds ("I'm raiding on UltraDude today... /loadinc greenstuff" switching to a Keyes specific Incarnate power selection you'd previously saved with "/saveinc Greenstuff" as much as possible, for instance.)- 4 replies

Replace the Cottage Rule with the Duplex Rule
Greycat replied to Faeriemage's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
On top of what @Rudra said, our devs did a "power X or power Y" choice once, and it was such a PITA they've said "never again." (And as a bit of a side topic, I'd *much* prefer being able to pick your path at level 1 for the VEATs rather than having the forced respec at 24. I absolutely hate that implementation, having just gotten another character where VEAT powersets fit the character best to that point. ) -

I don't *believe* that does, but someone who's poked into it more could give a better answer. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't similar to, say, "Arachnos" vs "Rogue Arachnos" where the latter doesn't (or didn't) count for certain kill badges. -
Caretaker's Plot Discussion Tunnel to Oblivion
Greycat replied to The Caretaker's topic in Developer's Corner
So I've got a few Kheld threads going through my head, as usual, especially after the Kheld backstory/lore guide update I dropped. (And it's something I did an AE on long ago - seem to recall it being very ongoing-SG-story-focused, though, so I'm not sure it'd make a good general play arc if I found it.) Those threads: - Twilight Son being "the last Kheldian" because of the Battalion. At least in the way his timeline worked out. - Dev comments in the 2014 (think it was) AMA that there's some link between Khelds being on Earth and the Battalion - "No Battalion, no Kheldians on Earth," essentially, and - *We have Portal Corps.* To me, I'd think some Khelds would know about this and start thinking about avoiding that possibility, going to Portal and finding other dimensions without the Battalion to colonize. And that this could make for some interesting jumping off points for story arcs. Or just... the utility and experimentation this could open up. - The Peacebringers are at war with the Nictus. They'd likely be VERY interested in clearing up War Wolf Earth. - These other worlds have very different environments - and hazards. If you come up with some environmental issue/effect/danger you're not sure would work elsewhere... why not have Kheld colonists run into it as a test run before employing it somewhere else? For instance, they find what appears to be a perfectly suitable world, only to find a necessary part of the ecosystem actively drains energy - and have to decide what to do about it. (Though, we don't really have multiple-ending arcs available.) - Use this "initiative" to prototype enemy group abilities/powersets/etc. while working them into mainstream story arcs under development - they can be useful as longer-term beta tests, basically. - Have the Kheldians and Praetorian refugees working together on a resettlement project, with all the potential issues and enemies it would involve - has Primal Hamidon learned of his counterpart, potentially seeing this as a way to make an entire planet his own "eden" by coopting this? Are former Council members with growing n-fragments infiltrating? What about the Resistance or Loyalists - would they see this as a new start? Would any of them work together? (Nictidon?) ... all right, I mostly want to see more Kheld arcs and think there are some interesting lore-based jumping off points. 🙂 That and getting rid of the (honestly nonsensical, given *what Khelds are and how they travel, plus portal*) "they're all going to die" bit. -

Haven't looked - are they listed as "Family" for the enemy group? If they're listed as anything else, they won't count - at least as I recall the way defeat badges work. -
New PC - are there any files I must move Manually?
Greycat replied to TinaMC's topic in Help & Support
Also as I recall, character sorting, "fog of war" status on maps. AE missions also includes custom groups. Easiest way to get to everything is to use the HC launcher and go to "Screenshots." Believe both mac and PC give the breadcrumbs at the top (your path will be different) - Go back one folder ("Homecoming" in this case). Most of what you want is going to be in there. Account (which will have a subfolder with things like player notes and such) Architect Screenshots Costumes Powercust (your power customizations) Demo (does anyone demorecord any more?) Logs You may not have all of these, and most of the rest should as I recall be automated. Whether you want to move screenshots and logs over or just archive them somewhere is up to you.
