  1. I can't imagine that they'd ever allow players to write in their own text to be associated with a temp power that granted an item with said text to other players. Maybe make use of the various titles we can select, along with badges, that character's origin, AT, and powersets...
  2. Don't have access to Mids ATM. Could you give me the highlights?
  3. Try remove.bg
  4. Glad we could select more than one... 🙂
  5. No offense, but if your computer gave you a BSOD, then everything is *not* ok with your PC. No one is saying YOU did anything, but there's probably something with your computer, (be it software or hardware), that caused that. Could you see if there was a recent restore point created as a result of a recent update somewhere? If so, maybe try rolling back to a point before you started noticing issues?
  6. Those are 2 games owned/operated/controlled by different companies, so they aren't going to simply apply CO's graphics to CoH. As @Grouchybeast mentioned, you can enable cel shading. The thing to keep in mind is that Homecoming is operated by a volunteer team and basically has no income, besides some basics just to keep the game running, and with the core game being 20+ years old at this point, a complete overhaul is unlikely. Maybe it's out of nostalgia, but I kind of like the graphics style, and I find working within those limitations to be an interesting test of your creativity/imagination...
  7. Then there's your answer. An official response is not in fact owed to every such request, (whether you or I think it warrants one). Sure it would be nice to have one whenever requested, but that's not how the real world works...
  8. Basic notes? About a topic that really doesn't come up all that often? "Basic notes" would be things like what kinds of behaviors warrant what kinds of corrective actions, not every policy or request that has been or may be implemented. Neither of us know their internal processes or workings, so maybe there is, in fact, a good reason as to why they couldn't provide a concrete answer immediately...
  9. And the issue only really came up like a day ago. You assume that they are aware of all policies at all times. Someone asked for something to be implemented, and within a few hours we got an official answer. Doesn't seem to bad to me from a volunteer staff.
  10. No, I am implying that they are human beings, doing a thankless job which only seems to get the ire out of people who expect perfection.
  11. In a perfect world, sure. From a volunteer staff who are possibly in different time zones and have lives outside of HC, not so much. This isn't a full time professional staff that are only concerned with this game...
  12. What's "false hope" about providing an answer?
  13. And they provided an answer when the topic came up.
  14. Sure, but that's different than suggesting some sort of list regarding things that will never be implemented. This was one specific subject that they just so happened to already have made a decision about.
  15. No. I think saying "never" is bad. I think saying "these things will not be changed/implemented ever" is bad. I think saying responding that "this is the decision we have come to, for now", in response to a particular inquiry, is sufficient...
  16. I highly doubt they'd want a "we're never gonna do these things" post/section. Not only would it look bad, but it also precludes them from ever actually addressing or changing their minds about things at a later date. IMHO, and at least from an operations standpoint, it's better to maintain "soft policies" that may change at a later date, (however unlikely that may in fact be).
  17. I don't disagree with the sentiment, but this assumes that they already have a policy in place for every (hypothetical) scenario/suggested addition. If they don't, or if all of the GMs aren't already aware, then they'll default to normal processes...
  18. No doubt. But if you go with an armor set that can boost your own damage, like bio armor, it alleviates that. Your other points are well taken, though...
  19. I could be misremembering, but I vaguely recall an article about how some recent superhero movies had started filming action sequences before they even had a script ironed-out. If true, this screams of a "cart-before-the-horse" mentality, which desperately needs to be done away with...
  20. In all the years I've played CoH, I've never actually leveled up a character using super strength. I very much like radiation armor, so I thought it'd pair well with SS. I'm skipping jab and most likely going to take boxing, tough, weave, and maybe dip into the leadership pool. Any advice you have for this particular pairing, (SS in particular, since I already have experience with rad armor). I'm working off of the assumption that, even with the significant damage debuff when rage crashes, I'll still be able to maintain aggro via taunt and punchvoke, Thanks for your input and cheers!
  21. What if we took a different approach; Make this proposed "power armor" set consist of mostly passive/auto powers, with only a few "active" powers; A "shield overlay" click power that applies a big lump of absorption, or a cloaking device that grants stealth, a targeting system that grants acc or tohit, etc, but otherwise, no toggles...
  22. It's also important to keep in mind that all blasters get some sort of "sustain ability" and additional sources of damage in their secondary, while only some sentinel secondaries offer additional end/recovery or other such damage boosting abilities, (and that's not including the greater number of AoEs and the higher target caps blasters get).
  23. The only thing I would add is that, early on, most ATs play very similarly, but once you get into the late teens to 20s, you start to encounter a lot more mez effects, and at that point, if you're planning on mostly soloing, you're really going to not having status protection...
  24. If the effects of your "slotted enhancement" lasts more than 4 hours, contact your doctor...
  25. I'm actually surprised that they haven't tried to create a live action film with Miles Morales in it...
