  1. I have this idea in my head for a "friendly gremlin" character - basically they are mischievous and cause enemies to have bad luck, while being tough to grab themselves. I was thinking storm blast/martial combat could reflect this, with having a storm cloud over your head being a traditional way of depicting someone suffering a bout of bad luck, and martial combat reflecting my character being kind of "slippery" and difficult to catch. What are your thoughts or do you have any other suggestions? Thanks for reading!
  2. My interpretation is that the OP is stuck in the zone altogether. That being said, if worse comes to worse, they can simply allow themselves to be defeated then choose to go to the hospital, which is away from any enemies and from which they should be able to safely get to the tram/monorail or tunnel portal.
  3. But does the first iteration of the pet become the 2nd with the new powers? The question isn't whether the powers are granted, but whether the resulting upgraded pet is the original one or a new entity.
  4. My instinct is that they are completely different versions - think of it like how a level 1 council rifleman may have like 2 attacks, but a level 50 has like 4 - even though they may look the same, they are completely different entities. I agree on your last point, though.
  5. City of Data appears to show the upgrades as incrementing different versions of the pets. For instance, MastermindPets_Genin becomes MastermindPets_Genin_2 with the first upgrade, and MastermindPets_Genin_3 with the 2nd one, (with separate iterations for each subsequent power they get), but maybe I'm misinterpreting what is says... (For reference: https://cod.uberguy.net/html/powerset.html?pset=mastermind_summon.ninjas&at=mastermind)
  6. I disagree. Tankers, Scrappers, and Stalkers get blast powers from their APPs and PPPs, so that's a non-issue. Against all odds could be reworked to be a click power with a longer range, but fewer targets, like how dark armor was modified for Sentinels. Just to be absolutely clear, I specifically want to have my character wield a physical shield. Sentinels can already access energy aura, which is basically what you suggested...
  7. Honestly, I don't think it matters whether you wanted to change just the tint/color of a MM pet or the entire model, as each version of each pet, (base, T1 upgrade, T2 upgrade), are hard-coded into each power - you'd basically have to strip them out or otherwise re-create each iteration of each pet...
  8. I'm curious on the one you did for Crucifixxx - why is the box art different than the figure? Is it an alternate form or is it supposed to be part of a set?
  9. I'd have to give that to staff fighting.
  10. It could also be a matter of several people on the team vying for leadership of the team, insofar as selecting which groups to attack, when, and where. When I'm on my tanker, unless there's some understanding beforehand, I will aggro groups in a steady and intentional pace, which some folks don't find to be fast enough. The notion of "cleaning up your mess" and/or clearing any stragglers before moving on, is alien to some people...
  11. Hope you're watching the clock, otherwise it'll become daytime, and you'll be "Blinded by the light"!
  12. Yeah, this is really nice, and if you can time a costume change properly, you may be able to get some to look different, or at least you yourself will have a different costume on. I reckon much that permits controller/dominator pets to be customized has to do with them not having to work with the upgrade system and subsequent costume changes that mastermind pets undergo...
  13. If you're willing to be a bit more flexible with your choice of AT, give Axe & Ninjitsu a try on a scrapper - it makes for a fun and different combination!
  14. We need a way to reenact the scene from Star Trek 4, with the punk blasting music on the bus, only in-game...
  15. As the topic title says, I'd love to be able to take shield defense as a sentinel. A few restrictions would probably have to be put in place, (perhaps not allowing dual pistols, assault rifle, beam rifle, or archery), but otherwise there really shouldn't be any issues - Tankers, Scrappers, and Stalkers can get various blast attacks via their APPs/PPPs, so that precedent already exists. The set would probably have to be modified, like others, though - as much as I'd love to keep shield charge, this would probably be dropped in favor of some sort of end recovery power, and I could see grant cover or phalanx fighting getting replaced with some absorb click power. Your thoughts?
  16. There are a few solutions: 1. Broadcast or use the help chat channels to see if someone can invite you to their team to sidekick you up to a higher level, so you can leave safely. 2. Use the LFG menu to join any instanced event, as it should teleport you away. 3. Similar to 1, see if someone can invite you, then teleport you away with recall target, assemble the team, or a similar power. 4. Use sprint and simply avoid any enemies to the best of your ability.
  17. But, you see, this approach does not provide the kind of instant gratification and low low price that the OP wants, so it must be abolished!
  18. If I had to guess, it's probably because of the dubious legality of running private CoH servers and how HC is an LLC or Not for Profit. Either way, you'd probably be better off PM-ing a moderator directly...
  19. Oh no doubt, but I was more referring to if it was a physical item sold in a store, (though in the case of the piece you did, the Dwarf & Nova are just images, and not in the bubble with the actual figure).
  20. I'd imagine that a Kheldian figure would cost more for the Dwarf & Nova figures. 😉
  21. Do not take the names of the powersets too literally - feel free to roleplay or otherwise come up with your own explanations for how the powers work or what their source/origin is. That being said, the various "energy" sets are the in-game opposite to dark powers.
  22. Another that comes to mind is 13 Eerie - it's basically your run-of-the-mill low budget zombie flick, but the protagonist is a forensic student who is clever and capable, without veering off into Mary Sue territory.
  23. I've had great success with my earth control/pain domination controller. Not so great solo, but excellent on teams.
  24. You mean "priced at an amount I am willing to pay". You want to remove any long-term/delay of gratification strategies from listing on the AH. If an item never sells, the person who listed that item never makes any inf. Obviously there is enough demand for them to, just that it is not in a time frame that is to your liking. Bid what you think an item is worth, wait to see if it gets fulfilled, and if not, work toward earning the items you want yourself.
