  1. What they could do is create a variety of "elemental master" power sets that carefully curate which specific attacks are available at each tier/rank, then work in some sort of set mechanic that provides a bonus for either varying the elemental attacks or following up one attack with another of the same type, (or whatever they deem fitting). In a way, storm blast already kind of does this, what with you being able to project winds, hail/ice, and lightning.
  2. Just for clarification, are you saying that those NPCs may be present and visible for one player, but not present/visible for another, at the same time and even if both were standing right next to each other, or are we talking within an instance where only 1 such player is present?
  3. I think both of your suggestions could best be addressed by adding more top, eye, mouth, and other such options for regular, full mask, hats, half-helmets, and even the existing full helmets...
  4. Can the game have a contact be present for one person by absent for another? I don't know if there's a system in place where a contact is available or missing "globally" for all players. It would be interesting if they could implement some sort of "significant other" system, where you could get missions from, and missions to rescue, said "significant other". I imagine such a system/interaction would have to be handled via a special solo-only instance - maybe you place a door to your significant other's bedroom or office, or something, and usually they're there, but sometimes they're gone and you find a note or clue that they've been abducted, which triggers a mission to rescue them...
  5. On some of my 50s, I noticed I lose the recharge bonus when I join something like a Yin TF. To address that, I've attuned those LotG uniques to regain said bonuses...
  6. I believe that this is a throwback to the vague terminology that the devs initially used for power values. Further, (and please understand that I'm not saying it couldn't use an improvement), outside of unique IOs, many sets can provide comparable bonuses, so it wouldn't make sense to give each and every one its own name...
  7. I had this idea some time back for a "survivalist" powerset, where you'd have to prep before battle to create your throwing knives, arrows, spears, traps, med packs, and so on. So in essence, while you could craft stuff mid-battle, you'd be vulnerable in doing so...
  8. Who new a thread on Nature Affinity would turn into an English lesson?
  9. I don't think we need to stack the same array of debuffs around on powers, especially if the intent is simply to do so to allow IO set muling. Frankly, I don't care what IOs people do or do not use, but aspects of powers should not be added or taken away to facilitate slotting IOs...
  10. I bounced between Champions Online, Rift, Neverwinter, various Fallout games, some console gaming, and so on.
  11. I'd also love some ring or other jewelry options, (bracelets, wristwatch, those connected bracelet to ring things, etc).
  12. Oh no doubt, but I was thinking more about being able to change the color of the vents & ports, for both the high tech and steampunk variants. Some of the robots upper arm options suffer the same issue; They have silver/grey/white vents/sockets and black wires/cables that cannot be changed at all...
  13. As it is a wiki, you can contribute and do just that.
  14. This either of the below links, hopefully they can help you out... https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Launch:_Jumping_Speed/Increased_Jump_Height https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=boosts.crafted_launch_d.crafted_launch_d
  15. I just find it annoying how some "Destroy X" missions make you interact with said object(s), while others are simply targetable and can be more easily taken out...
  16. Great look! I really wish we could change the secondary color on those big gloves!
  17. My understanding is that some systems use a process of tinting a base power while others wholly apply the selected color to some power effect/geometry, which is why certain colors look weird when applied to a character's face with skin vs one that is cloth/metal/other material...
  18. I think you're reading too much realism into the idea; Imagine your character briefly carries out the "dig with shovel" animation, the flat hole graphic and some sandbags appear, and then for a short time afterward, standing in that zone provides the buff(s). I mean, consider that our characters can call forth meteorites whilst indoors without totally destroying the building...
  19. I imagine that the foxhole would simply be a generic flat hole graphic, surrounded by some mounds of dirt and/or sandbags, no need to actually dig a hole down into the terrain.
  20. This is basically a soldier/military-themed secondary for blasters. Many of the powers would utilize an AR model. With that in mind, here's my proposed set: 1. Pin-down: You fire a few shots from your assault rifle, with the intention of restricting your enemy's movement. Deals minor lethal damage, slows the target's movement, and can even bring down flyers, perhaps also debuffing the target's defense. 2. Razor-wire: You lay down a coil of razor wire, which deals minor lethal DoT, severely slows the movement of any enemies attempting to cross the line, and reduces their damage resistance. 3. Rifle butt: Deals moderate smashing damage, disorients the target, and even has a small chance of knocking them down. 4. Site-in: Generic +tohit, +dmg attack, only with a slightly longer +perception buff. 5. Foxhole: You hastily construct a defensive structure, which provides some defense, damage resistance, and a bit of knockback protection, while you remain in it. 6. Combat armor: Provides some defense to ranged and AoE damage, recovery, and absorb. 7. Auto-mortar: Somewhat similar to acid mortar, except deals some smashing and fire damage instead, with a chance to knock down targets. 8. Minefield: Somewhat similar to the trip mine power from devices, only spread across a larger area, with each mine having its own proximity, (each dealing less damage). 9. Artillery strike: You call in an artillery strike which, after a short delay, deals heavy smashing and fire damage in the targeted location, with a chance of knocking back any targets hit.
  21. I wonder what capabilities the devs have to adjust the heights of existing mobs - I mean, there does seem to be some variability among them, but never extremely short or tall. It is annoying when fighting some groups, like DE, where even their weakest minion-class enemies tower over a max-height character. Partly comical, but maybe 8' is the new 6'? 😛
  22. Force field can work nicely, and force bolt kind of looks like a hadoken and force bomb is kind of like a spirit bomb, if you want to go with a more mystical/ki theme...
  23. I have a dual pistols/ninjitsu sentinel named "The Umbral Hawk", who is an homage to "The Shadow".
