  1. Maybe have an option where buffs you apply get a different color outline around them, sort of like how some powers get one when certain criteria are met...
  2. I never understood the mindset of "I don't like this thing, so nobody should have access to it". Even with the double XP buff, though, my alts tend to quickly become self sufficient by being patient; I'll take the "Inner Inspiration" power as my free pick from the F2P vendor and sell off any large inspirations or in-demand mediums that sell for a good price on the AH. I'll sell some low-level enhancements for the seed money to post them. I'll run a couple AE arcs and use the tickets to buy orange crafting components, then sell those. I mean, early on, you barely get any inf anyway, so, (at least IMHO), I'd rather get the levels faster...
  3. It shouldn't be that difficult to make level 1-9 generic IOs, then, especially since they did just that for DOs...
  4. Are you talking about the upgrade powers? If so, then they should affect all your pets, assuming they are relatively close together when you cast it. Note, however, that if you need to resummon a minion, you will need to re-upgrade them as well...
  5. None of what you said discredits generic IOs being a better reward option for low level characters than the DOs or SOs they may be getting now, at least in terms of something more than then 3 or so levels that said DO or SO may provide a better buff value...
  6. So you have to keep in mind that if you are talking about the special Luck of the Gambler +global recharge enhancement, it affects all your other powers, with the 5 of them being like a +3 SO of recharge in all powers without taking up any additional slots. As for the specific +recharge values in the various members of an IO set, they don't do much for your typical +DEF toggle power, but for powers that grant defense and have longer recharge times, like Fortitude from Empathy or Fade from Darkness Affinity, they help you keep your teammates buffed more often, so are still desirable.
  7. I'd much prefer to see lower level story arcs grant some level-appropriate generic IOs as rewards, as that low level character won't quickly outlevel them, (boy I used "level" a lot). Constantly having to buy SOs ever 3 levels or so can quickly get expensive, but a few generic IOs would go a lot farther...
  8. I wonder if what you've seen is someone using a combination of asymmetrical tights, one of the asymmetrical belt options, and the ability to select different boots for each foot, (some of which go up to the thigh and/or have knee options or other accessories that better sell the asymmetry).
  9. Thanks for the info, but does that also mean that it only gains the benefit for the duration of BU, or as long as said entity exists. Thanks again!
  10. Perhaps this has already been answered, but if I use a power like aim or buildup, then drop something like caltrops or some other power that persists for a while at a given location, does it retain the boosted damage/tohit for its entire duration, or only for the few seconds that said powers were in effect? Thanks!
  11. I don't see why they couldn't function like your typical low-tier inspiration vendor. That being said, trying to retroactively go back and code that into all of them might be more trouble than it's worth. We already have the "inner inspiration" temp power you can get that kind of does this, and it works anywhere...
  12. Or a pair of mutually exclusive toggles, one which increases damage while reducing defensive modifiers, and the other that does the reverse.
  13. So it looks like it is a "Pool A" recipe, from below: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Recipe#Pool_A_(Enemy_Defeat) https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Recipe_Drop_Pools
  14. As I mentioned earlier - it's a matter of how you look at the power. I can't think of another ranged attack set that gets a power you toggle on and goes about attacking on its own without you having to do anything else. Maybe it needs its damage or end cost adjusted, but that's another story...
  15. Nah man... have it where that's Rhoadie from an alternate universe where Tony is still alive... If Kang sees himself as a god, why not go all the way and bring in Morgan Freeman?
  16. Whose names are you referring to? Other players? Your own? I'm pretty sure you can change font colors in the options menu pretty much on the fly...
  17. There are some asymmetrical tights patterns, and you can get a different boot on each foot. Are you talking about how there is the option to have 1 cybernetic or crystalline arm? If so, that would be a cool option to have...
  18. I imagine if such costume pieces were added, they'd have to fall under the "special" category and not permit that many gloves/boots/ or other such options,. Even then, I'm all for more costume options!
  19. Well, doesn't "necro", (at least in this context), generally refer to something that died then was reanimated? I mean, if you like your pork undead, you do you...
  20. It's really not some sort of catch-22; If you search the forums and find the answer you were looking for, no need to post anything. If you search and can't find it, start a new topic. In either case, if you searched and found nothing, why would you go about "necroing" an existing thread?
  21. I mean, you're not wrong, but arguing on the internet is basically an Olympic event nowadays...
  22. Ooh more hyperbole! No, maybe pick a reasonable cutoff, like 30-90 days or something, and if there's been no activity on a thread since then, start a new one.
  23. I like hyperbole too, but I think you're a bit off-base. If a topic is worth discussing, it's worth creating a fresh thread for. People can always point back to the older threads if they are worth referencing.
  24. Well, my initial response is because it's against the forum rules that you agree to abide by when signing up here. That being said, I think it has more to do with the info in the thread, whether you acknowledge it or not, *is* out of date in at least some way and/or the parties involved in it may very well no longer be present. Either way, I don't see why, if they really don't want threads to be necroed, that they simply don't allow anyone to respond to a thread that hasn't had a response in over, say, 3-6 months...
  25. Couldn't they just have Dr. Aeon or someone fake some credentials, hack into Portal Corp's systems, then send you to the same place, only with a portal in Nerva or Grandville? Basically, turning the Shadow Shard into a co-op zone.
