Rise of the Phoenix Soul Transfer I'm not really up on some of the newer power sets added into the game, so maybe they also include some other Self Rez powers. I'm assuming here you mean from actual power pools, and not just certain temporary powers you can get via Events.

That actually turned out to be the problem! It's weird because I have these all saved in a Word file, and just copy and paste them into the chat box. The existing quotation marks that are more vertical were already in that file. The slanted ones are what I see when I try to make new ones. I ended up just copying the quotation symbol to overwrite the ones that werent working, and everything is fine. Thanks so much for your help!

I'm having a problem with these binds. I did read a few posts on having more than one power on auto, by changing the auto priority. I'm currently using /bind uparrow "+forward$$powexecauto hasten$$powexecauto Clarion Partial Core Invocation" /bind downarrow “+backward$$powexecauto Clarion Partial Core Invocation$$powexecauto hasten” /bind leftarrow "+turnleft$$powexecauto hasten$$powexecauto Clarion Partial Core Invocation" /bind rightarrow "+turnright$$powexecauto Clarion Partial Core Invocation$$powexecauto hasten" Basically, moving around should just change whichever is on auto. My problem, is that the backwards one does not work, and I am not sure why, as i have followed the same format. Now this is for just these two powers, but i have used this type bind for three powers. Like left and right change hasten and clarion auto priority, and then up and down changes between hasten and Gun Drone. Can anyone shed some light onto why the one for moving backwards does not work? It just says something like +backward in pink writing in the chat when i try to use it

Not so much a war story... but a silly story. Once Invention Origin enhancements became a thing, I kinda resisted them for awhile. Not that I disliked them, but I was resistant to change, and I didn't really understand them all that much. Finally, I decide to try them out. Things like Edict of the Master etc just sounded so cool, I had to have them! I spent all my influence buying a bunch of Pet damage enhancement sets for my MA/SR scrapper, and then couldn't slot any of them. So ya...fun times.

For me it depends on the archetype. I find for Stalkers, I have a much easier time increasing the enemy difficulty, than increasing the mobs. I'd rather fight a +3 or +4 Lt and two minions, than say 1 yellow mob and 5 white. Currently on my level 23 Ice/Energy tanker, I'm fighting at +0x3 because I have icicles, Chilling embrace(with some dmg procs) and Whirling hands. So usually by the time I take out a Lt etc, most of the mobs are dead or nearly there. I sometimes gather 2 or more enemy groups this way, and it's working pretty good. For a Blaster, I generally go with more mobs. Once I'm at -1x8 or 0x8, I'll start bumping up the difficulty. I seldom do something like +2x3. At that point I'd rather go +4x1, or -1x6 etc. If you have a lot of single target damage, then try increasing difficulty. If you have a lot of AoE, try increasing the team size.

Slot Machine's Random Challenge (the limited edition 2023)

I rolled an Ice/Energy Tanker. His name is Ice Cubed on Torchbearer. Currently level 9, and leveling up the old school way...no P2W, etc. Having a blast! -
I'm probably in the minority, I don't know...but I actually do not want ANY changes. I want the same game I played years ago. When I get max level, and get all my incarnate stuff, I just make another alt, and do it all again. I don't need anything more than the current game to keep me excited about playing, or entertained. If there were weekly changes to the game, I'd likely quit. When the new releases happen with the Homecoming updates, I just go with it and adapt to it, but I'm not looking for anything more than the base game that ended years ago to be able to be played again. Sometimes with too many changes the game becomes unrecognizable from what it was. It's not always a good thing. Classic World of Warcraft, and Wrath of the Lich King Classic are good examples of people willing to play a previous version of the game they love, and are happy with it. I appreciate the Homecoming team seems more concerned with preserving the base games stability, and taking a long time between new issues...taking into account feedback, and making changes that are more Quality of Life, rebalancing things that are known problems etc than drastic ones like making a new archetype or powers weekly. And again, HC is run by volunteers in their free time, so just being able to play this game is a dream come true for me. I'm not expecting anything more than that, personally.

What have you slotted for that turned out to be useless?

I remember 4 slotting Hover back in the good old day, in the Hollows to make it easier to move around. It was faster than Sprint in those type zones. 🙂 -
The ATs I want to team with and why
wolfshadow31 replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
I'm not arguing about your choices, its your list and you can make what you like. But your perception is very skewed, as you said before you dont really play much after level 19 much, or rarely up until even level 29. Scrappers and blasters, besides being damage also have a lot of control type effects in their primary and secondary powersets that you probably just aren't seeing because they get unlocked later than the levels you've chosen to only play at. They have those abilities to keep themselves alive when not on a team, but the abilities still exist and can be used while teaming. My main is a MA/SR scrapper, and I got stuns, aoe knockback(down) etc. And you know what enemies arent doing when they are falling around like ragdolls, or being stunned?...they arent dishing out damage to your team members. So you are basing your list on low level experience with archetypes which don't have their full arsenal of abilities unlocked yet, which isnt representative of their true archetype potential. -
*facepalm* I'll show myself out now. Thanks for the reply, it was driving me crazy. And yes, that was indeed it.

Has there been a change on homecoming? I'm currently running a low level character through Praetoria, and I'm not getting inf for defeating enemies? And these arent gray enemies...it's orange, yellow, white con enemies. I'm getting xp...just no inf. I havent made any changes to any settings or anything. I did a few tests, and I tried a level 6 character in atlas park, the 14 in praetoria, and a level 22 in Talos. I get xp for defeating enemies outdoors, or on a mission map...just no inf. I tried two of my 50s, and they get inf and xp for defeating enemies. According to the homecoming wiki, inf can be gained through defeating enemies, completing missions, etc. I looked through the page 5 patch notes, and some of the page 4 ones, and didnt notice anything about this being changed. Anyways, maybe I missed something about it...so just wondering what is going on with that?

I got Nightblade the other day for my new dual blades stalker.

It says LotG. Haven’t removed them from the bought tab. I’m in contact with a GM, and he told me not to remove or slot them. They are working on a fix for me. It seems it was a market problem and not an actual enhancement change.
-
So I login to my banker today, and find out all the bids I had using level 53 LotG crafted enhancements filled? I checked my other characters who used this strategy as well, and their bids are all filled as well. A quick scan of the auction house doesn't seem to show any other crafted 53 enhancements available for sale. Can anyone shed some light on this? I hadn't really played since the summer, but are attuned enhancements considered to go up to level 53 now or something? I've been using this strategy since the original game to store cash which would put me over the 2 billion inf cap...

If you have a lot of aoe, I generally increase number of enemies first. If I have more single target damage, I increase the enemy level first. Once I find content while levelling a bit easy, I might start at 0x3, and go from there. My stalker was pretty good Single target damage, so he generally went up to +4x1, and then increased the number of enemies until his issue was endurance in longer fights. You just have to figure out which is the most efficient for your AT. Sometimes +2x2 is better than +0x4. IT all depends how your Character performs.

Phase one of my snowman army begins! 🙂

It will go over 45%, but that only helps you if you get debuffed. The softcap is still 45%, whether you have 45% or 60%. But if you take a hit for -10% def at 60%...you will still be at 50%. The hard cap for defence is 95% I believe...which the game will not allow you to exceed.
-
Can you have more than one active at the same time???? It never occurred to me you could have more than one out
-
I agree. I usually start using it around 45 depending how many charges I have. It makes a big difference. I've never considered using it for veteran levels, although I can see the appeal. I still will probably save the charges for characters not yet 50 though.

Defenders are a bit tricky here, as with the changes to Vigilance, the damage boost while solo is hard to ignore if trying to experience the game in it's original fashion.

Lower Level Inventions - Not So Useful Anymore?
wolfshadow31 replied to MrSnottyPants's topic in General Discussion
Can't speak for everyone, but I wont be slotting the SO's early. I'll keep buying IOs and attuned sets. Its just easier for me to slot things once, and forget about them til 50. Chasing 3% bonus increase or something at level 15 is not my style. -
@Spectre7878 Pretty sure you need to use Alt+1 instead of Alt1 for any command involving two key presses like you described.
-
I'm guilty of using uppercase "i" in place of lowercase "L". >.> Hey...Pineapple Pizza was taken...So I had to use Pineappie Pizza. Its not noticeable much in game, and I really just like Pineapple Pizza...so had to have it.
-
I suppose if you have tons of alts, on many shards...keeping track might be a bit hard. This would make it easier I suppose. Rad Sword would certainly be easier to identify than Captain Kablooey.

NPC asked me this when I clicked on him in game. I felt like "arresting" him. 🤷♂️
