  1. Aren't they already offered as an reward for completing the Winter Event trial? How do they drop normally? If there isn't a drop mechanic, yes this suggestion works for me.
  2. The Halloween Elite Bosses were designed by the Homecoming Team in 2022 to provide engagement to teams and leagues during Trick or Treat. Period. Go to the beta patch notes if you don't believe me. I don't care that it will be even easier than before for a team or league to defeat the two proposed changed Halloween Elite Bosses - it was already easy enough to put an attack on auto and walk away to defeat them. Now teams and leagues can just go afk even longer without worrying about the Halloween Elite Bosses and still get 5 times the XP and Inf as normal Elite Bosses.
  3. Aw yeah, it's that time of the year, looks like @Diantane chose Corruptors. I wonder if @Diantane went beyond reading the values in Mids or reading the description values in the primary powersets. Of course, to any who have read these threads in the past, you'll know that this won't be a discussion with @Diantane, instead they'll leave the thread to wither and die while everyone else is scratching their heads about what nonsense they just read.
  4. The names become available for other players to use. If a player uses a released name, the prior namesake gets a generic name and number.
  5. If nobody posts these, you can also create a character on the beta shard that instantly levels to 50 and Incarnates are free and all unlockable without any effort. You can try out all the interface Incarnate abilities that way.
  6. In a nut shell, as you leveled up, your character was granted more slots for your powers which you can use to slot enhancements that make your character stronger. I wouldn't worry about threads until you're comfortable with how your character works. Once you find your strengths and weaknesses, then dipping in to the Incarnate powers to shore up those aspects will require threads, shards, and Incarnate xp to unlock those power slots.
  7. Indeed, the Halloween Elite Bosses were already too easy for teams and leagues, so this change doesn't really impact that experience. Edit: I'll further add that it is wonderful to have an enemy that can be soloed easily that also grants x5 XP and Inf. I sure would be disappointed if this proposed change impacted the risk to reward experience though!
  8. It seems that this and the other Halloween Elite Boss suggestion threads had the effect they desired; Open Beta patch notes now indicate Halloween Elite Bosses now have some of their powers Level gated to Level 30 and Level 40. This is at the expense of team and league engagement, which is the trade off made to give solo players an even easier time defeating the Halloween Elite Bosses.
  9. These Halloween Elite Bosses were designed to make Trick-or-Treating in teams or leagues more engaging / lucrative / rewarding. Adjusting their powers based on Level gates, instead of having all of their powers available at any Level, is the opposite of providing an engaging experience for teams and leagues. Where is the "be better balanced" applying to? Teams and leagues already melt these enemies above Level 25 without issue. If this is an attempt to cater to solo players, it's at the expense of team and league engagement.
  10. These elite bosses will only spawn if you are above level 25. If you do get one solo and don't want to fight it, you can simply run away and they will despawn automatically after 60 seconds. Trick-or-Treat enemies have a 3-second safety window after they spawn before they can do anything, giving you ample time to escape if it's not a fight you want to take. This addition was meant to make Trick-or-Treating in teams or leagues more engaging/lucrative/rewarding.
  11. I think you're misremembering, as another poster pointed out.
  12. A great point to make in a suggestion thread from someone who wants to change the game for everyone just to fit their unwilling adaptation of playstyle that everyone else uses. Luckily those types of sweeping changes aren't made very often by the Homecoming Team, so this thread and the other Halloween Elite Boss suggestion threads can return to their grave (again) until next year when the same posters make the same zombie suggestions (again).
  13. That was what the Temporal Warrior patch indicated many months ago.
  14. "With the exception of" means that Temporal Warriors would be subject to the Name Release Policy. Those characters count as Level 1 for the name reservation system. These characters will be flagged as inactive if they have not been played in the last 30 days.
  15. Impressive time - you could have LR summon his henchmen off of a minion enemy mob near the pylon, then incan to the Pylon to start the run to decrease LRs summon time for added DPS.
  16. If you're interested in the Ice Epic Powerset, take a look at my Corruptor thread on this topic:
  17. The Halloween ToT Elite Bosses are fine and do not need changed.
  18. Wow, I originally thought this was spam when I read it this morning. After reading @lemming reply, I guess it makes a little more sense. The formatting doesn't do the reader any favors. It's hard to follow, especially on mobile devices. It reads like a ChatGPT output if the user wrote a prompt about how to beta test.
  19. Any solo player can do any of the things I offered as much as they want at any Level and any amount of familiarity with the game. There is no requirement to do them. They are options, should a solo player desire to use them.
  20. I think leading is it's own reward, I don't want more rewards for that.
  21. Solo players can use Inspirations. Solo players can summon pets. Solo players can use temporary powers to increase their attributes. Solo players can attack, then retreat, then attack. Solo players can invite other players. Solo players can learn from their experiences and use counters to the enemy in the next fight. Solo players can move to a safe location.
  22. This thread is about Halloween Elite Bosses though, isn't that what @Steampunkette was referring to?
  23. They are appropriate for solo players. Solo players can avoid them. I disagree. It's fun, exciting, challenging, and rewarding (×5 the XP/Inf of a normal Elite Boss).
  24. Level 25 or higher is the only requirement. Cap au Diable doesn't go up that far, (Level 8-20) so I'd try other zones if you're a higher Level.
  25. If a player is not using Scourge to their fullest extent, they're not playing a Corruptor, they're playing a Defender with weaker buffs/debuffs.
