  1. I don't know what the stats are, but I've been digging the Mastermind changes, I rolled a Ninja/Trick Arrow that feels really good - albeit I never played a Mastermind before, so I have nothing to compare it to. I also tried a Storm/Storm Defender, which has been a slow leveling character. Enjoying the concept more than the powerset, but I'm hoping to have a better perspective when I get it in to the 20s and 30s. I'm excited to see what becomes of the Peacebringer/Warshade changling exploit - though I've read no explicit words from the Homecoming team about when that will occur.
  2. Reason enough to get out of bed each morning.
  3. I just realized I've been reading and posting on these forums for a good bit of time. I'd say it's a habit at this point even. Glad to still have folks here who are fantastic members of the community, who occasionally make me laugh, cringe, or even think critically at times. Heck, in all honesty, I'm just glad I'm not talking to myself and there are still others playing and enjoying this game still! Thanks!
  4. The Translocation animation from the Sorcery Pool is a neat alternative animation. Edit: Ah looks like you mention that and the other variations in a later post. Either way, I see you point. Flight has four poses, there are like 5 run animation variations too. And you can Jump/Leap at least two different ways depending on how a player hugs buildings or double jumps.
  5. That's probably more to do with the threat mechanics for the enemy than an unintentional side effect of range boosting effects. Like, if within melee range, then attack with melee, AoE, or range, and if not, use ranged attack or AoE. Once the target for the enemy leaves the max distance for ranged attacks, chase if threat level is below/ above 1. That's all my speculation though.
  6. I did this for fun on my Ice/Cold Corruptor by replaying the Ouro incarnate introduction arc where the player gets max stats. Player range ceiling is 400ft and in some instances, depending on the player's settings, that's farther away then the enemy draw distance - let alone farther away the enemy's max range. Other than that, not too many +Range set bonuses out there to try on anything other than the Psi/Energy the original poster mentioned in order to get the most out of the concept.
  7. Portal Corp after the level increase and Monster Island shenanigans. Blue cube under the arenas in Galaxy City, Talos Island, and Peregrine Island. Pumpkin Giant Monster during first Halloween event. Winter Lord at the first winter holiday event. City of Heroes beta conclusion where the devs played their signature characters against the villains. First few weeks after the Arena issue where the PvP game was new to everyone. Street sweeping in Hazard Zones like Perez Park, The Hollows, Crey's Folly and Eden. First play through villain side after they increased level cap and added Grandville and it's many amazing story arcs. Statesman Task Force and Lord Recluse Strike Force. Epic Archetypes were rare because the level 50 unlock requirement, so it was cool to see them when they first came out and the many Quantums they brought to teams. Getting behind the War Walls in nearly every hero zone (Original Faultline, behind the dam was my highlight). Making my first character, I feel like it was a Blaster, maybe elect/elect? But when I unlocked Hover I was emphatically attached to the game - I needed those 14 levels before Fly and it was a journey back then to get to that point. First Hamidon raid I participated in was awesome and made me realize I needed to upgrade my computer memory size.
  8. It's probably an opportunity for story telling if the devs aren't tired of Cimerora updates. I feel like the new arcs give players an idea of how Nictus contact with Earth went, but with time travel I think there's too much left to hypotheticals.
  9. I don't know the exact answer, but aside from looking at the wiki for a clue, I had made a fun little thread about Requiem a while ago that explained his pre-Requiem origin.
  10. Oh you reminded me of the lengths I would've had to go to for my thesis in grad school! I ended up opting to change my topic and methodology so it didn't involve human subjects, but even then I still had to go through an IRB and complete some general research ethics course before my advisor would sign off on my research plan.
  11. Didn't they try that with Fire Armor's power? Phoenix Rising or something?
  12. Why doesn't someone cobble together all of the suggestions, threads, and posts about regeneration - then do a word count for the most popular key words and put a sentence together to offer to the devs to change the set. "Nerf" and "Regen" seems most popular 😆
  13. This is a topic I similarly approached with Night Widows. Love using Elude after rezzing if the +4 AV gets their lucky 5% window. Edit: Oh that was you @nihilii I had a discussion with about Elude lol
  14. Yeah, players can go through walls, but not in the way you probably are wanting. Teleport does it if you find a hole somewhere in the geometry and it isn't in a red circled area. There used to be giant holes in zones where players would fall through the map (Perez Park). The Homecoming team has been busy closing those off since they relaunched the game.
  15. I tried playing the game differently. For example, when my endurance bar is close to running out or it is entirely empty, I move away from the mob or enemy group and wait for it to refill instead of popping inspirations or using a temporary power. I have been using Rest a lot more, and it's almost nostalgic to me how much I used that power when the game came out. The tip missions that drop for the exploration badges in zones are up there for some of my favorite additions to this game by the Homecoming team. I like to get those and then fight local mobs in those zones. Maybe grab a history plaque too.
  16. I'll offer that DJ Zero is the most powerful Hero. And Null the Gull is the most powerful Villain. Outside of Pocket D, I'd say Rularuu is the most powerful being. And only because I haven't defeated it solo yet.
  17. Slowing enemies to a crawl, reducing their recharge time, debuffing their regeneration, endurance recovery, damage, defense and resistance, while also offering defensive shields, resistances, Stealth, and a Max HP buff for allies? Why yes, you do want to play Cold Domination. 🥶 Pair it with a Electric Blast and Mu Villain Epic Pool and you'll be draining in style. At the same time, all these extra effects are beside the point. More damage is better than anything else when the goal is only to take a health bar from full to empty.
  18. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Main_Page New wiki updated with Homecoming changes.
  19. It's not hard to get, folks just don't want to go to the lengths of receiving it often times.
  20. I don't really take them anymore. Mission Teleport if I'm in a rush or Base Teleport if that's on cooldown. Otherwise I'm happy exploring the city on the shoelace express.
  21. It's an instanced version of half of the Siren's Call zone map.
  22. I think we've got that Arachnos giant monster already, but it doesn't spawn outside of missions. That's the Jade Spider. Giant snake sounds cool though!
  23. You'd be surprised what can be done with enough dev interest and ingenuity.
