Added to my list! Level 50 Goldsider here. Good luck with it. Recommended arc material? Well in no particular order check out arcs by Nyx-Astraea, Peacock, cranebump, Take One, Miss Jersey and Ankylosaur. I've written a few myself I'm fond of. The most recent of which is Bridge of Forever, a dedicated Gold arc. As for level 50 Gold? 40 to 50 is your definite grind spot. So alternate ouro flashbacks with AE is my go to there. That and teaming with lower levels, plus others doing missions in FW/NW. And remember, as a mixed team every now and then one of them will get kicked if they cross through a non coop zone. And if they get annoyed remind them you're the one on home turf!
-
Agreed. If Battalion do show up let them be something different than the nonsense guffed in the AMA. And just kill Dream Doctor outright. Deus ex machina npcs are the dumbest most player insulting thing. Open up the Number Six Praetorian missions in Last Bastion to actual Praetorian toons. It just needs a door moved!
-
You can't even enter the Ouro portal. It will reject you. And no, we can't access the arcs after DA apart from any itrials. I know you're gone by them but I do recommend using a base crystal to access Loyalist stuff you missed, since you went Loyalist. Itrials, Cathedral of Pain, SBB and story arcs in AE are your friend. That and getting a Gold team going. Plus the three events across Nova (the protest), Imperial (Syndicate) and Neutropolis (ghouls) are fun. All level neutral enemies so any level can do them. Then there's hunting the Seedlings in First Ward followed by a Seed of Hamidon raid. Which shard are you on by the way?

Hey, we're due another one of these shortly! Oh, the anticipation! It's like getting a new gift. Who will be picked? What will it be like? And if by chance you've played one before then it's nice seeing those authors get some recognition for their work.

I built a set of civilians (enemies that have no powers basically, and give no XP) for an AE specifically to cause havoc to players as "Innocents get caught in the line of fire", as AOEs kill them, and tabbing includes them, allowing actual hostiles to technically, if not narrative-wise, use them as human shields. It's interesting for a mission. I don't think I'd actually want to see it in open world though.
-
Well, the only thing even resembling an actual field is the partially built arena in Kallisti. There are plenty of basketball courts and tennis courts around though.
-
I am certain I did one mish ages ago where an NPC mentioned a sports team.
-
HA! Though I've been thoroughly burned by "Once you get by the first Season it's great" too many times. I do not have the time for that crap anymore. (Love Firefly, but I maintain it's strength comes from it being half a season of good episodes, and we weren't subjected to the other half which might have been dire.)
-
The Architect Entertainment (AE) pretty much lets you do exactly this. Ok, it's not in your base, but you can have a go to area of most types of map vs most standard enemies, or custom built ones.

I am constantly (or it feels like it!) petitioning/ranting to Devs/GMs/here/Discord that Number Six's Last Bastion arc be made available to Non leaving Goldsiders. There's literally NO reason why it shouldn't be. There's plenty of non infected citizens and IDF still in Praetoria fighting DE and Hamidon, so survivors of the Resistance and Powers Division would definitely be doing that too. Bigger fish to fry!
-
Ah, thanks! Like I said above, I'm trying to provide some extra Gold sider arcs. "Bridge of Forever" is up, as it its follow up, called "The Cassini Division". Currently writing the finale to that series, they're all Loyalist based, and then looking to write a similar set for Resistance.
-
Well, I was answering more in terms of the Classic Hero challenge, since that might be an allowable thing.
-
You wait until Christmas again and hope you get a Jingle Jet from the gifts?
-
We can also access the SBB from level 15 on (careful not to outlevel your contacts though if you do it then!), plus Cathedral of Pain and all the iTrials are open to us if they start in Pocket D or Praetoria. Via Ouro you can get The Emperor's Sword arc (as you mentioned above), you just have to go to Night Ward in person to get in. It has to be via Ouro though, because she won't talk to you directly, which is crazy! And you can also do Cole's personal story. And as @Six-Sixsaid above, base crystal will allow you to do whatever you missed along the way. And there's organizing a Seed of Hamidon raid in First Ward, that's good for some decent XP too. And yes, there's AE, but there's VERY little Praetorian based material storywise there. I'm attempting to fix that though! Just published "Bridge of Forever", arc id 36642. Set prior to the War, level 20 cap so a pre crosser can play it. More on the way!
-
I'm going to mention a lovely little AE arc, id 36583, called "Kheldian Uprising." Since there are too few Kheldian related things in AE, or anywhere!
-
Pure gold still? No crossing? We're all on Reunion in the SG "The Praetorians". iTrials there usually start from DA unfortunately, but we're building to critical numbers so that won't matter! So if you ever feel like you need your own Gold family around you, come on over and look us up! (Also, just finished a Gold Story arc in AE, "Bridge of Forever", #36642. It's level 20 so people coming through Praetoria could play it at the end of Neutropolis if need be.)
-
Well, I've had a break from writing but now I'm back! For your entertainment (and possible Dev Choice selection!), I give you Bridge of Forever. Arc id #36642: " Members of Powers Division are vanishing. The Seers claim they are no longer in the same dimension as Praetoria. Praetor Sinclair's investigations have led him into delicate areas and with the demise of Project Phoenix he reaches out. [An SFMA set in Praetoria prior to the Praetorian War]."

I'd like a twist on this. Marauder shows up! Deadlock gets a surprise. "How the hell..." -

The new Redside Vahz arc connects to this tangentially. -
How the heck do I convince myself to make a Corruptor?
Darmian replied to Chompie's topic in General Discussion
My main Blue/Red* is an Elec/Time corruptor. So much fun. You can't move, Mr NPC, and now you have no endurance, and now you're dead. Oh well. *Other main is Gold, hence that distinction. -
Look, your work is much appreciated and for this player at least lifted the game to new levels. So, burnout, that's annoying but I can only applaud the results. (As an AE aficionado my only complaints are "why can't I do that?!")
-
I'll just have to scout the other shards then. Well, not as Kam obviously.

Well it depends on what shard you're on when it comes to Gold teams. We get a couple per week on Reunion. Though a TF might increase that somewhat. And add the option of an accolade. 20 levels of Blue is not analogous to 20 levels of Gold though, due to how Praetoria handles its story progression. If you include a TF anywhere before level 20 you can outlevel your contacts very quickly. So if there were to be a TF prior to the option to go to Primal Earth it should have level 20 as a minimum entry level requirement. I'd like a TF in each of these zones. With the Night Ward one occurring in the later levels, since Gold side has a serious gap between 40 and 50. Of course this is all beside the point since you can't revamp what doesn't exist. -
Architect Entertainment - Content Ideas

Modular mission slots. Building an arc and get stuck? So you start another and plan to come back to it. That second arc has a mission that would be perfect for the first arc, so being able to simply slot it into the first arc and tweak rather than redo from scratch would be handy. It's simply cut and paste. -
Why were the Echo zone beacons removed from bases?
Darmian replied to Flashtoo's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Left alone then. Because there's no debate here.
