Perhaps it is but it's very much related if it is. Ah. I don't know the meme. So I have no idea whether you're agreeing, disagreeing or indifferent.
-
Yep, the lore is there. Lore made by a full time dev team. Right now we are moving forward, it's not fast enough for some. That's unfortunate.

What's challenging to one player, not character, may not be challenging to another. And both need to be addressed in some way. I'd rather play "The Last of Us" than "Dead or Alive", but that's me. And challenging for a character? Is your character a powerful character because they have all Superman's powers, or because they are Superman? Those aren't the same thing and each approach I'd warrant is part of the choices the dev team are looking at. Again, working within their current boundaries. One of which is also ensuring the stability of the code. Different strokes.

Content is exactly what's needed. But at the moment we're in the position of part time volunteer Devs leveraging existing assets. Content as regards story can be done, we do it ourselves in a limited way in the AE, but right now, there are boundaries that are being hit.

Well, we're in "different strokes for different folks" territory here, really. Me? I want the game to go wider, more depth, more stories, out and out, not driven into a point (and this is my opinion rather than me assuming I'm speaking for many) of "I'm a god, give me god stuff". I want to see the game's narrative and plot advance, that's not tied to "I'm level 90(+1) , so I need fights to be THIS hard. Fallout from previous stories, what are the people doing. I understand where you're coming from, I do. Progression of a sort is desired in games. And having played for instance Cole's Personal Story, It's a great piece of character for him. But surely, if it were your character, you'd want to at least have the chance of being defeated? Else what's the point. Cole's story is effectively a cut scene you get to benefit from but it's still only a cut scene. Again, in continuing to level and get stronger you're delving into the downside of HC albeit it can't be helped, in that as a volunteer set of devs they literally haven't the team to build out the way you're talking about. Or at least that's my take on it.

RIP. Never knew him but RIP all the same.

An absolute waste of a decent character. If you check out "The Web of Arachnos" (especially) and "The Freedom Phalanx" you can see what COULD have been done with him.
-
I don't report that many, since a lot of what I see is already here, but here's one. . Per se. NOT per say.
-
Again, I'm gonna reference the above link, with emphasis on the section of part of the AE console being added to the base computer.
-
Hmm, I can see the name "Super Patriot" being a bit tricky these days! SG Mission Computer? Well, since we have effectively unlimited base access now, how on earth would you earn it? Use the base computer 100 times? That's pretty much the same as buying it since a mission costs 1 Reward Merit. Street Crime and Iron Man? They could definitely go somewhere!

See above suggestion!

I'm going to be cheeky and refer people to my three Loyalist based AEs (in the signature), and one of them is quasi Portal Corp. Had to do a bit of lateral thinking to get it to work but I think it does! And yes! Make it so!
-
That would match up with the discrepancy between the Underground badge that says it is below the Mother of Mercy, when that ended up in First Ward.
-
So these aren't anywhere that anyone knows about? I mean if they were then with a bit of (HARD WORK/LONG HOURS/BLAH BLAH) then Gold could easily have that necessary 40 to 50 level somewhere, other than my own mad idea of building an Underground for First Ward (that crosses into Night Ward) from existing Underground and Underground Incarnate Trial maps. Finally get to open the door on the CTA building in First Ward! (Yes, I already said that above, and yes I am saying it again...because I like the idea!)

And Woo was was there to investigate a Witness Protection case. So WHO was in Witness Protection in that town?
-
And that Darkhold look is nawt like that seen elsewhere.

Interesting!

Simply put, the code doesn't allow for it. I was thinking partly of this very thing when I posted this: I knew the code wouldn't let you have this in a base, but I had pondered that an SG, especially a themed RP SG, might use the base computer in their "War Room"/"Operations Center" whatever, and then head out to do the missions. Of course if you don't have a base, then the thought was that the endless Information Booths etc could do the same.

Random thoughts on leveraging the AE for tip-like missions.
Darmian replied to Darmian's topic in Mission Architect
Well, we already have the Mission Computer in the base loaded with tip missions, it would just be adding part of the AE UI to it. TakeOne suggested repurposing part of the many many information booths around Paragon/telepone booths in the Rogue Isles and perhaps something pasted on the many Morris Columns in Praetoria/a Clockwork, for those that don't have an SG or a base computer. -
All That Glitters Series - Vigilante - [1 - 54]
Darmian replied to Ankylosaur's topic in Mission Architect
Apologies for my tardiness in finishing this! I have yours, some by TakeOne, some by Driiquar and others all in mid go! And just finished out @cranebump's epic story. -

But other than placement, @Ankylosaur, is the concept workable for you? -
Random thoughts on leveraging the AE for tip-like missions.
Darmian replied to Darmian's topic in Mission Architect
Well, that could work too I suppose, but to some extent still lends itself to a little lack of immersion. But I was avoiding Kallisti Wharf because SOMETHING is being planned for there. Plus KW makes Praetorians once again the last in the line when the door closes and they get nothing. Having thrashed some of this through with @Take Oneon Discord he proposed that the "avatars" wouldn't be the regular green code from the AE but would be generic NPCs until the mission activated, much like sometimes an NPC is simply gone if you do a certain arc, or Matt Habashy's wife joins him in Atlas Park after you finish that early mission. -
"The Game is not Balanced around IO's"..... should it be?
Darmian replied to Galaxy Brain's topic in General Discussion
LOL. Despite what the designer says there are plenty who love them.
