  6. This could be accomplished through power customization. Either a non crabby crab spider, or adding/appropriating some sort of built in weapon assets to blast sets. Assets you'd need to make it work as a new power set anyway. Power Armor is the stealth power replacement in the Energy Aura for Sentinels.
  7. I wouldn't say any sets "lose" anything. But some gain more than others. Any set with more than normal +dmg will benefit the tanker a lot more now comparatively. So anything more than just Build-up. Or primary sets like BIO and Shield. Any set that had AOEs smaller ARC/radius than the cuttoff will gain a lot of area. Also target caps go up.

  9. If tanker damage is going to get much closer to brutes, then brute survivability should def not take a hit also.

  11. Instinctively of course double all the time build up seemed like it would be thus. Separating years of biased comments on the subject though is difficult. Thanks for testing this. ====== On the brute survival side though, outside buffs can also bump them up to tanker levels.
  12. Cryptic. There are only a few AOEs I don't take on any combo Usually related to long animation times on cone powers when the set has a super fast Targetted AOE or something like that. My Fire/Martial blaster skipped Fire Breath for example.
  13. Something that came up when IOs came out, sets with fast animations benefit a lot. KMs teir 9 is evil slow animating.

  15. Wonder if this is something that could eventually be handled client side. I would prefer night 365 days. I tend to like Gotham style vigilantes and rogues as concepts.

  18. Yeah, pretty cool. SS seems like it will be good on tankers. A ton of other sets will still favor brutes more though.
  19. I'm not sure where the mythical brute that somehow is built to run perma double rage(or equivilent), but can't keep 50% fury lives.
  20. This is a good point. Tanker footstomp will proc more reliably than brute Footstomp now.
  21. Im not forgetting it, but its irrelevant to my point. I was disagreeing with the following basic premise- Tanks do too much damage relative to Brutes Because at 2XRage it takes 50% Fury for the Brute to match a tanker. My contention is .. 2XRage, IE Perma Double Build Up (or big stints of 2Xrage w/e) - is inherently not balanced on anything at all. Therefore worrying about this scenario is dumb. Yes I get that Rage and SS are weird and several of the powers are crappy because of Single Rage. I also understand that Double Rage is cool and people want it, awesome. And yay SS is super popular. And yes there are sets that do more damage. But using SS as a scale for trying to do AT balance is never going to work. Because its inherently a wobbly teeter totter.

Well that makes me look dumb, sure. ---- But that doesn't invalidate the idea that worrying about who is benefiting the most from Double All the Time Build Up instead of admitting Double All the Time Build Up is inherently unbalanced is, frankly, silly.
  23. Its irrelevant because Double All the time Build up is impossible to balance around. Therefore worrying about which AT it is more unbalanced on is dumb. Get back to me when Energy Melee can fire off a Double Rage fueled Judgement.
  24. Double Rage is unbalanced, it always has been. We all know it, supporters and detractors alike. Worrying about an unbalanced outlier benefiting Tankers more than Brutes seems pointless. Since they won't be getting rid of Double Rage, its Double pointless. The Single rage number was more like 20 Fury. Cool. Sounded like its working as intended then. Wonder what the less weird sets look like? My guess? Any set with normal build-up favors Brutes more relatively. So .. almost all of them. Any Armor set with +DMG helps Tankers more. Considering thier Armor sets are their Primaries, maybe that is a good thing.
  25. Still confused why we are worrying about double rage. The perma double build up will help the tank out more than the brute with 50% fury .. kay? What does the single perma build up look like? .. since thats the one that matters.
