  1. Hmm. We are attempting to move past the feels stuff towards figuring out metrics. The thread keeps sort of devolving back into opinions. It could be the metered trials will hint at no serious overperforming sets, then the whole thing is moot after all.
  2. Most secondaries add something offensively Invul adds to hit SR adds recharge (plus it levels unevenly) Might make it hard to find the other secondary
  3. WP can be made a non +end secondary with no survival impact, since quick recovery is stand alone. Just run the same build without it
  4. You can slot a couple taunt durations in RTTC for the taunt issue.
  5. Its double rage that is tricky to balance.. Single rage has been determined to be ok. Seems like reverting to build up would be a net loss.

  7. I use the Numpad for all my attack powers + buildups I also get rid of the strafe and just use turn left as A and turn right as D
  8. Would making it equal to combat jumping help balance the set? It seems like EA gets more defense, Ice being what it is because it was originally tanker only.

  11. Defense was intended to describe multiple ideas of mitigation that mechanically work the same. Invulnerbility deflects. Ice absorbs. SR avoids. The avoid will sometimes even play a dodging animation. Think over the years people have kind of assumed defense always means dodged.
  12. When i took a philosophy course in college. The first day the professor told us we weren't qualified to argue with him on anything. The point of logical fallacies is they are an outgrowth of cognitive bias, and are fundamentally human nature. You don't so much learn how to use them when trying to make an argument as much as learn how to not use them.

  17. I have solod Tfs on STJ/WP scrapper MA/EA Stalker Nightwidow So I am guessing not. Actually I also solo'd on a TW/WP Scrapper but that was while leveling, so I ate a lot more inspirations. Unless you mean TFs you can play at level 50 and at some crazy settings like +4/x8 or something? Then I don't know. Sounds like that would be torture from a time sense.
  18. Not on the new primaries Staff Fighting, StJ, Savage Melee, etc all have the same AOE as Scrapper

  21. Id be for 0 float time. I tried to use teleport as an in combat thing ala Cloak or Nightcrawler but the float ruined it. Id love for there to be a io proc or null the gull setting that let you do 0 float. Maybe make it PVE only or something.
  22. Hmm. I have no idea what it should be really as far as risk/damage output. I will note Blasters typically have better AOE than any Melee character by a good margin.
  23. Could say the same about Stalkers With newer primaries and the right secondary, they can basically do what a scrapper can, but do more damage.
  24. I think if a fair enough test comes out of this (and other) Efforts We will probably identify more underperformers than overperformers. For example Electric melee probably needs better ST, Good old EM, Broad Sword due to DPA issues, and so on. Of course part of the testing could be to establish a Median range of Melee Performance. Based on the (admittedly weak) examples of Pylon testing that is probably somewhere between 400-500 DPS ST for a /Bio Scrapper with a max IO/incarnate build.
  25. On the pylon thread they have put together an AE archvillian arc for testing. Perhaps you could use that for some of this.
