Don't know if anyone reads this anymore but after going over builds in Mids I decided that Elec/Rad was what I was gonna roll for this themed character. However while playing in AP this morning I saw the GMs say that electric affinity may be active by next week and decided to wait to check it out first.

Absolutely. As I stated I like to do SBBs for my teaming as it is quick, fun and gives an IO that markets for 10-15M everytime. In addition I am creating a theme character that has a controlling type of personality. Hence the controller AT. BTW I decided to go Earth/Rad because I have a great Bio planned.

Yeah I figured Radiation would be a choice. I am also liking Gravity as I love the whole Propel aspect of plucking something outta thin air and throwing it. The whole illusion thing doesn't work well for me as I'd rather go MM if I wanted a lot of pets. So Grav/Rad is what I am gonna roll. My theme character is a construction worker pre powers so I can write a bio around that. Ty

Hello I generally solo but for team fun I like to run the SBB. It is rather quick and comes with a very nice reward at the end. I have used blasters and scrappers to much success but have a concept for a Controllery type hero(basically a hero on a power trip). I made it a scrapper but I figure being a controller will let me be more RPish. I have checked all the controller combos and want to know what would be some suggestions for good controllers knowing that it caps at 29. Thank you for the advice in advance.

As I said in a previous thread I quit collecting comics 12 years ago. I was a hardcore Marvel collector of all Avenger, Spider-man and FF comics including the soloes. When I found out my wife was pregnant I siad that comic collecting had to go. I would just let all story lines end and then stop. Well I was glad it happened then because over in Spider-mans world they did a story line where Aunt May died by a sniper and Mephisto gave Pete and MJ a choice to bring her back. It was a horrible story line and it stunk that it was the last one I read from my absolute favorite Hero. Meanwhile around the same time the World War Hulk story was going on. Now Planet Hulk was one of the best Hulk story lines I ever read. Not to mention Civil War had just ended and I absolutely loved it. What got me mad was that no-one died in WW Hulk. After what they ( the Illuminati) did to Hulk someone should of paid the price but nope. Anyhow I am happy I don't collect anymore especially considering the price these days. Seriously imagine paying $5 for a filler issue. Bleh! I get my fix with the movies these days.

Kinda happy I no longer collect comics. I quit 12 years ago when my daughter was born. I honestly never cared for the X-men favoring the Avengers and FF. Sounds like I am not missing anything.

Way back on live in the 1st or 2nd year I had set up the freeze ray power to say something upon firing. I had 10 different sayings tied to it. Was fun for a while. I may revisit it now that you jogged my memory.

OK to simplify all three can be slotted but most of the time only one (panacea) is needed. I want to review my end build as this is a character I play a lot and take out any wasted slots and possibly transfer them to other powers where I can get more benefits or more procs. Thank you all for the advice. I also do you have the performance shifter proc and one end mod on my blaster as well. Endurance is never a problem.

I will agree that I very rarely ( I mean rarely) have end issues on my blaster even when going all out against an AV. When ever I build a new alt i always make room for them so TY for the info.

This is exactly my problem as well. A part of me feels that once I have a plan all built on Mids I already hit 50 in game. That is why so many of my mids creations never get made.

I have read on the wiki what each one does and currently I have all 3 slotted on my Ice blaster. However I saw in Help chat once that having all 3 was a waste. Since I didn't have the time to ask can someone explain to me ( and others I am sure) which is the best slotting to have? TY

Thank you for the responses. I had figured I would be able to wade into a bunch of held mobs and slice them down but alas It seems as if I am playing a blaster again(minus the Nuke) due to the powersets I have chosen. I wonder if I should just forget about the melee attacks and focus on the ranged ones instead. Since I have already started a character and got to 18 I will keep going and see how it plays out.

Ok so most that know me know how much I enjoy the Ice powersets. *Spoiler* I love the Ice powersets particularily on a blaster 🙂. I have played my Ice/TA blaster a lot(some t4s) and want to change it up a bit. I want to try out a Dominator as I just can't get into Ice on a controller. Since Dominators have both the controller primary and Blaster Primary I figure this is a great choice. However I know nothing about Dominators except that Domination rules. Also I see that the Icy assault has melee that I will enjoy I am sure as My blaster has none. I play my blaster exclusively at range and thus have soft cap range def. Since I will be in melee as well as staying at range I figure s/l def is better for this. How much haste is needed for Perma Domination? I plan on skipping Flash Freeze as I see it as a waste. As well as Chilling Embrace as I have Arctic air for in melee fun and Shiver to stay at range. Is the ATO sets better in certain powers like on a stalker or can they go in anywhere? Any other advice/tips for me? TY

For some reason my characters are predominately science origin. Maybe has something to do with my love of Spider-man. Who knows. The West Coast avengers brought me to Marvel but Spidy kept me there.

I myself am trying to solo everything blue side. Although I’m only interested in soloing the story arcs and teaming up for the TFs. I think since there are a few of us doing this we should all collaborate and study guide to help each other out and for future people that want to do this as well. I was not aware that you can just go up to a contact and talk to them for missions as I thought I had a wait for them to pop up in my contact window. That is a lot of help.

Can’t say that that’s much of an investment I mean outside of tranq guns and overalls what do them guys actually use? Personally I cannot stand the Vahlizok. They are vastly overpowered at low levels and they like to throw up a lot. But the single worst thing is I never ever see them use hand sanitizer in between victims. I mean think of the cross-contamination. What kind of medical school did they go to anyway?

Definitely not but as you can see from all the posts we all kind of wished it was!
